U.S. GOVERNMENT OUTRAGED BY AFGHANISTAN'S RELEASE OF TERRORISTS - BUT IT PRESSURES ISRAEL TO RELEASE PALESTINIAN TERRORISTS. WHY THE MORAL INCONSISTENCIES?

(Reuters) - U.S. forces in Afghanistan on Tuesday condemned a decision by the Afghan government to proceed with plans to release additional detainees that the United States believes pose a continuing militant threat.

"United States Forces-Afghanistan has learned that 65 dangerous individuals from a group of 88 detainees under dispute have been ordered released from the Afghan National Detention Facility at Parwan," the U.S. military force said in a statement.

THIS ONGOING WAR WEBSITE - There's one big difference between the Afghani jihadists and the Palestinians that we should mention before we get to our question. Those prisoners in the Israeli system were all, every last one of them, put on trial with the assistance of legal counsel, and were convicted and lawfully sentenced. But only a few weeks ago U.S. Secretary Kerry was gushing over the release of Palestinian terrorists by Israel, many of them having attacked and even killed Jews in Israel.

Kerry 'Appreciates' Israel Releasing Terrorists

As Israel releases 26 terrorists, Secretary of State John Kerry "expresses his appreciation" for that decision.

The difference, it seems, is that when terrorists kill Jews, that's not really terror in the eyes of those who promote their release.

And please note that the release of prisoners has been an ongoing "gesture of good will" on the part of the Israeli government - under pressure from the United States - and in the name of "peace". Thousands have been pardoned and a good number of those released prisoners have returned to their terror activities.
