ANCIENT FOREST BENEATH THE NORTH SEA IS REVEALED in Denmark due to shifting sand - It shows 7,000 year old human footprints in Doggerland, which then connected the UK to Europe - The area had been preserved in a layer of peat all these years.

North sea reveals 7,000 year old human footprints through ancient forest: Woodland would
  • Archaeologists believe the forest was part of Doggerland, an ancient stretch of land which connected UK to Europe
  • The region would have been gradually flooded by melting glacial ice and geological activity over hundreds of years
  • 'In 5,000 BC the sea level rose quickly and it drowned the land.  The sand dunes were blown back further into the land, burying the forest, and then the sea receded a little.  The sea level is now rising again, cutting back the sand dunes, and uncovering the forest.
  • But experts say the ancient forest on the Northumberland coastline has been perfectly preserved in a layer of peat
  • Archaeologists say that in addition to the forest remnants they have uncovered human footprints from early settlers

    In this abandoned fishing village on Shengshan Island, Zhejiang province, China, vines climb the old stone walls, weave through the windows and doors and creep along the crumpling paths.  Greenhouses everywhere: Clothed in vines and leaves, the former fishing village is a sight to behold. The pictures were taken by Shanghai-based amateur photographer Qing Jian. The French village Oradour-sur-Glane has been left in its ruined state, its buildings and car destroyed by fire after it was attacked by Nazi soldiers and all its inhabitants massacred in 1944. It remains a chilling time capsule as the burned out homes remain exactly as they were on the day they were torched, even the car of the mayor still lies rusting in the main street

    THE PENTAGON'S ICEWORM PROJECT AND CAMP CENTURY - THE SECRET NUCLEAR CITY DUG UNDER THE ICE IN GREENLAND - Mother Nature sabotaged the plan - Watch declassified video

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Camp Century was described at the time as a demonstration of affordable ice-cap military outposts. The secret Project Iceworm was to be a system of tunnels 4,000 kilometres (2,500 mi) in length, used to deploy up to 600 nuclear missiles that would be able to reach the Soviet Union in case of nuclear war.
    Greenland is closer to Russia than the ICBM fields located in the continental U.S. Rumor has it that the Danish government had no idea that the U.S. was considering installing nuclear missiles on Greenland.
    The base operated from 1959 to 1966 when shifting icecap made living there impossible. Today, it’s buried and crushed beneath the Arctic snows.
    I've reading The Universe Within  -  The Deep History of the Human Body -  and its author Neil Shubin, who has done paleontological research in Greenland, makes a passing reference to a US government project that seems right out of a thriller.
    The plan, Shubin writes, was concocted by the Pentagon and consisted on carving silos within the ice for six hundred nuclear warheads.  Connecting these silos were to be tunnels that contained an entire underground city given the futuristic name Camp Century.
    muslimsjews2Unfortunately Germans keep focusing on symbols, while not daring to face real life anti-Semitic hatred and violence that is now endemic in Germany - perpetrated mostly by their immigrant Muslim population.
    In the meantime Europeans enthusiastically join the boycott (BDS Movement) of Israeli goods, while Germany and other EU countries fund organizations that demonize Israel.
    This is nothing less than a war of attrition against the State of Israel, a war whose ultimate aim is the destruction of all Jews.
    Instead of dealing with that and with the ongoing cultural regression brought about by the Islamization of Europe, reporters and observers shift uncomfortably at the idea of reviving Hitler`s parade grounds in Nuremberg.
    On this page:
    • The ghosts of Nuremberg.  Controversy over the idea of spending large sums of public money to revive the ruins of Nuremberg`s Nazi parade grounds.  See photos.
    • Germany will republish Adolph Hitler`s Mein Kampf in 2016
    • The plan to rebuild Hitler`s bunker in Berlin
    • Europe continues with its long tradition of targeting Jews, this time by boycotting Israeli goods.  Nazis too enforced the boycott of Jewish business.
    • The Nazis made Jews wear a yellow-star armband with the Star of David.  Europeans today demand that all Israeli products from outside the Israeli ghetto (the 1967 borders) must bear a label saying that they have been produced in the `settlements`.
    • European universities and publishing houses are boycotting Israeli academic papers, and students and professors are excluded from Universities just because they are Israeli Jews
    • GERMANS FUNDING ORGANIZATIONS THAT DEMONIZE ISRAEL
    • Rise of 1,000 % in anti-Israel crimes in Germany in 2014, according to the German government's own report.  The classification "anti-Israel" is meant to disguise the fact that they are fundamentally anti-Semitic.
    • The renewed alliance between Nazis - now called Neo-Nazis - and Arabs living in the land of Israel - now called Palestinians.
    • The vicious anti-Semitism of the Muslim population of Germany that follows Islam`s 1400 years of persecution and massacres of Jews.
    • A little known fact:  the Palestinian leader, the Mufti of Jerusalem, was a key player in the design and implementation of the Holocaust.  He worked in Germany during the war and formed a Nazi Waffen SS division of Bosnian Muslims that perpetrated gruesome atrocities in Eastern Europe.  Later he trained a new generation of Palestinian leaders, including Yassir Arafat and current Palestinian Authority chief Mahmoud Abbas.  WATCH VIDEO
  • Site has fallen into disrepair more than 75 years after last event
  • Now mayor wants German taxpayers to fund extensive renovation
  • He says the city wants people to 'ponder on Nazism and its crimes'
  • Controversy as locals insist it is a waste of money in age of austerity
  • Fears that neo-Nazis will turn the site into a modern day hate shrine
  •   Salute: In the 1930s, millions of Nazi Party supporters gathered at the site for mass rallies where they would salute Hitler before he would deliver fantical speeches as he prepared Germany for war
  • The 3.5 hectare site is located in a Siberian lake near the Mongolian border
  • The unexplained site is estimated to have been built between 744-840 AD
  • Its style and construction materials hint at Chinese architectural tradition
    At first glance the rectangular island of Por-Bajin looks like a foreboding fortress or prison, with its regular structure and ruined sections.
    But it is unknown for certain what the rectangular island and its labyrinthine ruins, located in a lake in deepest Siberia, was actually used for when it was built 1,300 years ago.
  • Chernobyl disaster released 85 petabecquerels of radioactive caesium
  • There is up to eight petabecquerels (PBqs) in soil in the exclusion zone
  • Following three forest fires in Ukraine scientists measured radiation levels
  • The fires caused 0.5 PBq to released over eastern Europe as smoke
  • While people in Kiev would have been exposed to 10 microsieverts of radiation, or one per cent of the permitted yearly dose
  • Experts predict fires will increase as a result of global warming
  • This in turn could increase exposure and cause radiation to enter crops
  • Following three forest fires in Ukraine (stock image), scientists from the Norwegian Institute for Air Research measured radiation levels in the soil and atmosphere. They discovered that these fires caused around 0.5 petabecquerels of radioactive caesium to be released over eastern Europe as smoke
    It's been 29 years since an explosion at the Chernobyl nuclear plant in Ukraine released large doses of radiation across Europe.
    But the effects of that devastating event could still be affecting the continent as a result of recent forest fires in Ukraine.
    According to new research, these fires are causing radioactive caesium in the soil around the nuclear plant to be released into the atmosphere as smoke, which then travels across Eastern Europe.
    A spectacular fireworks display brings the closing ceremony of the Winter Olympics to an end on February 23 last year
    A $51 billion ghost town: Extraordinary images show  Sochi Olympic park lying desolate and abandoned one year after most expensive games in history.
  • The Winter Olympics of 2014 are a distant memory in the Russian Black Sea resort, with empty arenas left idle
  • Fisht Stadium, the Bolshoy Ice Dome, the Tulip Inn hotel and the Adler Arena all sit in ghostly silence
  • Skiers may still pack the slopes nearby owing to the collapsing rouble, but few are visiting the Olympic park
  • The Formula One track, which hosted the £99 million Russian Grand Prix last year, stands dusty and unused
  • The company which owns some of the complex is about to go bankrupt, according to the Kommersant newspaper
    THE ABANDONED BALTIC SEASIDE RESORT OF PRORA BUILT BY THE NAZIS
  • Prora was supposed to showcase the best of Third Reich architecture
  • Yet Hitler pulled the plug on the project before it was finished to focus on the war effort
  • After the war the Soviets planned to blow the site up - but didn't have enough dynamite
  • Plans afoot to build a 300-room hotel, with other spaces being sold as flats
  • German resort was Hitler's idea of a 'Baltic Butlins' - a space for family fun and entertainment
  • The monumental seaside resort of Prora in Rügen was built by the Nazis between 1936 and 1939This is the 10,000-room hotel that has never had a guest.
    Situated on the island of Rügen in Germany, the Prora beach resort was built by Adolf Hitler between 1936 and 1939 as a striking show of Third Reich architecture.
    Yet the project was halted, with eight separate buildings having been erected, when the Nazi leader decided to focus on building more planes and war infrastructure.
    Prora was destined to be the forerunner of a string of such giant camps whose plans were mothballed due to the war he unleashed on the world.
    DESERT DUNES TAKE OVER ABANDONED HOUSES IN NAMIBIA - See the surreal and haunting images
    Swallowed by sand: Stunning images reveal haunting beauty of abandoned wooden houses in Namibian desert ghost town.
    These hauntingly beautiful images reveal what’s left of family homes that are filled with sand in a once prosperous mining town deep in an African desert.  Abandoned for more than half a century, the ghost town of Kolmanskop, in the Namib Desert in southern Namibia, would serve as the perfect backdrop for a horror film or apocalyptic thriller.
    The German-style village flourished after diamonds were discovered in 1908 but its decaying homes were left to rot after the mining field was exhausted.  It was completely abandoned in 1954 and is now said to be haunted.   Sand has infiltrated the windowless and, in some cases, roofless homes, leaving small dunes inside bedrooms, corridors and kitchens where families used to reside in the mining town’s heyday.
    Kolmanskop was once home to a hospital, school, ballroom, theatre, casino and the first tram in Africa, offering the finer things in life to the German miners and their families.  But it is now a popular destination for curious tourists and explorers, including photographer Enrique Lopez-Tapia, who snapped photos of the surviving wooden houses.
    NATURE TAKING OVER RADIOACTIVE FUKUSHIMA EXCLUSION ZONE
    ONCE pristine rice paddies overgrown into forests. Wild animals roaming the streets of eerie towns with an uncertain future.
    That’s the scene described by Australian teacher Jessica Hellamy who recently had the chance to see inside the 20km exclusion zone created after the nuclear meltdown at the Fukushima Dai’ichi powerplant in 2011.
    “Time had stopped. In the main part of the town the buildings are still collapsed from the earthquake. It’s kind of nuts. It was weird, like a time warp, everything is all overgrown,” she said.  “All of the rice fields are covered in forest and wild animals.”
    Abandoned dog in Futaba - 2013
    She said the day of the earthquake schools were due to hold graduation ceremonies, with many of the preparations for celebrations still intact.
    “They literally evacuated that day and were told they had to get out of town completely and since then they haven’t been able to go back,” she said.
    “The kids themselves haven’t been back, adults have gone back on a daily pass to clear their house. Anyone that’s under 15 isn’t able to go on. So it’s pretty tough on them.”
    It’s been nearly four years since the magnitude 9 earthquake struck 130 kilometres off Japan’s coast at 2.46pm in March 2011 triggering a tsunami that killed nearly 19,000 people and moved the entire country to the east.
    Tsunami waves hit the coast of Minamisoma in Fukushima prefecture following massive earth
    Quake and tsunami hit Fukushima Prefecture
    While the earthquake itself and freak tsunami were devastating, it was events at Fukushima Dai’ichi powerplant that turned the city into a time warp and forced an estimated 160,000 people from their homes.
    The disaster disrupted power supply and cooling to nuclear reactors at the plant, leading three of them to melt down within days. A fourth was also written off due to damage, the World Nuclear Association reports, causing the world’s worst nuclear disaster since Chernobyl.
    Since then, 160,000 people have been forced from their homes after Japan’s environment ministry labelled 11 municipalities “no-go zones”. They’ve been forced to live in temporary housing while authorities painstakingly decontaminate the area in order for them to return home.
    RUINS OF USSR ABANDONED NUCLEAR CITIES
    By Zachary Slovic, Wired Magazine
    Nadav Kander traveled to the steppes of Kazakhstan four years ago to see the “closed cities” of the Soviet nuclear testing area, a network of cities all but invisible to outsiders until the arrival of Google Earth.
    The photographer ventured first to the town of Kurchatov—named for the physicist who developed the USSR’s first nuclear bomb—where he found a guard at a gate. Kander, with help from a local contact, convinced the guard to let him pass, checked into the town’s only guest house, and set about making photographs with his large plate camera.
    His haunting images of an eerily beautiful landscape raise questions about secrecy, transparency, and the universal human attraction to ruins.
    FLOODED OLD NUCLEAR SILO NOW SERVES AS A PLAYGROUND FOR DAREDEVIL DIVERS
    At the bottom of the pool is a forest of twisted scrap metal - the remnants of walkways and staircases which used to allow technicians access to the nuclear-tipped Atlas rocket housed in the silo
  • Deserted military site lies below the Texas desert and is known only to a network of thrill-seeking divers.  It is now known as Valhalla, the heaven of Norse mythology.
  • Originally built in 1963, the 127 foot deep silo was built to house nuclear-tipped Atlas missiles
  • It was abandoned in the late 1960s after which water began seeping in through the launch doors
    THE BIG COVERUP
    In spite of the Nazi origin of Palestinian nationalism, their active complicity with the Holocaust, and their ongoing Nazi ideology and terror against Jews, Palestinians are being portrayed as victims that need to be REWARDED with a Nazi state on Jewish land.
    Dragon Teeth - Jonathan Andrew, Caters
    These are the eerie images of Second World War bunkers that still crouch on the landscape as echoes of the biggest conflict in history.  The menacing bunkers stand as firmly as they did on D Day, 70 years ago - and these stunning pictures show the enormity of German defences.  Photographer Jonathan Andrew scoured the wartime territory of The Netherlands, France, and Belgium.
    AMAZING HOW ABANDONED WAR HELMETS AND WEAPONS BECAME EMMESHED WITH TREE TRUNKS IN RUSSIA
    Reminiscent of images from the documentary "Life After People", which shows how in a world without people nature would immediately begin to take over every bit of space in no time.
    Daily Mail - A remarkable series of photos taken in a Russian forest have been making the rounds on social media sites, showing what happens over time to instruments of carnage discarded in the woods.   The striking images depict rifles, artillery shells, grenades and sapper shovels embedded in tree trunks - essentially swallowed up by the natural surroundings.
    Some of the most powerful images in the sequence show slender trees growing through gaping holes in Soviet Army helmets.  The shape and condition of the protective gear suggest that the helmets belonged to Red Army servicemen during World War II.   Given that each of the hard-hats is damaged, their owners most likely had met a violent end.  While little is known about the exact location where the images were taken, it is likely that the helmets came to rest on young saplings during a battle.   Over time, the maturing trees widened the bullet holes, and the helmets essentially became impaled.
    According to some estimates, the Soviet Union lost some 20million people, both military and civilians, over the course of four years between 1941 and 1945. At least 14million of the casualties were soldiers and officers.
    The poignant photos capturing the rusted out vestiges of World War II overwhelmed by trees drive home the message that in the end, after all the medals are handed out to heroes and all the peace treaties are signed, the only true victor is nature.
