Two Kremlin-controlled channels, NTV and Channel One, showed a military official looking at the confidential document while filming a meeting of top officials in Sochi, Russia.

It contained drawings and details of a weapons system called Status-6, designed by Rubin, a nuclear submarine construction company based in Saint Petersburg.

The nuclear torpedoes, to be fired by submarines, would create 'zones of extensive radioactive contamination making them unsuitable for military or economic activity for a long period,' says the document, which is clearly visible in the footage for several seconds.

Russia moves thermobaric warheads that INCINERATE targets into Ukraine while world's attention is on Syria
  • International monitors have spotted TOS-1 Buratino system for first time
  • Buratino features thermobaric warheads, which create waves of pressureDeadly: The Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe - which is monitoring a ceasefire in eastern Ukraine - reports its monitors have seen a mobile TOS-1 Buratino system (pictured) for the first time
  • The Buratino thermobaric warheads spread a flammable liquid around a target and then ignite it.
  •  Can destroy several city blocks in one hit, causing indiscriminate damage
  • Victims typically die either from the intense pressure of the initial blast, or suffocate as their lungs rupture in the vacuum afterwards. It's a terrible death.
  • Lethal system 'was not exported to Ukraine before the conflict broke out'
  • Unofficial reports indicate that Russia has only exported the system to Azerbaijan, Iraq and Kazakhstan.
  • World's attention remains on Syria, where Russia is conducting airstrikes
  • President Vladimir arrived in Paris today to speak with the leaders of Germany, France and Ukraine in new push for peace in eastern Ukraine

    If the US has it, so can other countries.
    And if other countries have it, anyone can buy it, including jihadis.  Are you prepared?

    The Pentagon’s Counter-Electronics High-Power Advanced Microwave Project (CHAMP)
    The missile is equipped with an electromagnetic pulse cannon. This uses a super-powerful microwave oven to generate a concentrated beam of energy. The energy causes voltage surges in electronic equipment, rendering them useless before surge protectors have the chance to react

  • Named counter-electronics high-powered microwave advanced missile
  • Weapon destroys electronic systems without hurting people or buildings
  • Champ is now an 'operational system already in [the] tactical air force'
  • Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missile-Extended Range has been chosen as the delivery vehicle
  • However, experts fear that the project could create an arms race, with countries scrambling to build their own electromagnetic pulse weapons.

    PENTAGON DEVELOPS SELF-GUIDED BULLETS - Video shows how the smart bullet spots, targets and nails its target

    WIRED MAGAZINE - The U.S. military has been after self-guided bullets for years. Now, government researchers have finally made it happen: a bullet that can navigate itself a full mile before successfully nailing its target.

    The breakthrough comes courtesy of engineers at the government’s Sandia National Laboratories.

    They’ve successfully tested a prototype of the bullet at distances up to 2,000 meters — more than a mile. The photo above is an actual image taken during one of those tests. A light-emitting diode was attached to the bullet, showing the amazing pathway that the munition made through the night sky.

    U.S. COMMANDER TELLS CONGRESS COUNTRY NOT READY FOR CYBER WARFARE

    The U.S. military is ill-prepared for waging cyber warfare and needs to bolster defenses against the growing threat of cyber attacks against both military systems and private infrastructure, the commander of U.S. Cyber Command told Congress on Thursday.

    “Those attacks are coming and I think those are near term and we’re not ready for them,” said Army Gen. Keith Alexander, head of Cyber Command and also outgoing director of the National Security Agency.

    Alexander, in prepared testimony to the Senate Armed Services Committee, sounded the alarm on the need for better cyber attack and defense capabilities. He said the command’s priorities include setting up a secure “defensible” telecommunications architecture, training cyber warfare personnel, increasing intelligence data on global cyber threats, and clarifying lines of authority for conducting cyber attacks and defending government and private networks.

    METAL BAND SUES U.S. GOVERNMENT FOR USING THEIR MUSIC FOR TORTURE AT GITMO

    By Russia Today:

    Veteran Industrial band Skinny Puppy have objected to their disturbingly dark music being played to discombobulate inmates at Guantanamo, and plan to “charge” the government for doing so. They are not the first band to express such objections.

    "We heard through a reliable grapevine that our music was being used in Guantanamo Bay prison camps to musically stun or torture people. We heard that our music was used on at least four occasions," the idiosyncratically monikered guitarist cEvin Key told The Phoenix New Times.
    “So we thought it would be a good idea to make an invoice to the US government for musical services.”

    While this may have been seen as an oblique compliment to a band that prides itself on its dark imagery, the thought of their music bringing genuine mental anguish was uncomfortable.

    "We never supported those types of scenarios. Because we make unsettling music, we can see it being used in a weird way. But it doesn't sit right with us," said Key, who founded Skinny Puppy back in 1982.

    It is not clear if the Canadian band is expecting remuneration from the US government, but the band has named its latest album Weapon as a reference to the alleged incidents.

    The most famous objectors to their music being used for enhanced interrogation are heavy metal legends Metallica.

    THE BULLET THAT CAN TAKE OUT ALL LIVING ORGANS

    New bullet unveiled at Las Vegas gun show this month that is designed to cause as much internal damage as possible to its victim

  • The Radically Invasive Projectile or R.I.P is produced by Georgia based G2 Research
  • It has been dubbed the 'last round you will ever need'
  • The G2R website claims the R.I.P acts as a full metal jacket manufactured with trocar angles, which means that the each of the eight shards has three angles which taper to a point - to 'penetrate the dermis layer more efficiently.'   'It is capable of going through barriers such as sheet rock, plywood, sheet metal or glass and still performs its original intent. The bullet shreds through solid objects and only then, expands its energy,' claims the G2R website.

    SWARMS OF ARMED DRONES SOON IN A NEIGHBORHOOD NEAR YOU

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Is that a swarm of tiny armed drones chasing you?  Did you offend a highly placed government official?  Or did you fail to pay your parking tickets?
    Reality is quickly catching up with very recent science fiction.  While it took many decades to catch up with Jules Verne's fantasies, now last year's daring and imaginative science fiction surprises us from today's technology news. Or from the skies above you.
    Death from a swarm of tiny drones: U.S. Air Force releases terrifying video of tiny flybots that can can hover, stalk and even kill targets
  • Air Vehicles Directorate at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio, is already developing prototypes of tiny drones that can hover
  • The Micro Air Vehicles will work in swarms to provide complex surveillance of a battlefield
  • They can also be armed with incapacitating chemicals, combustible payloads or even explosives 'for precision targeting capability'
  • Hovering: Micro Air Vehicles (MAVs) are the future of the unmanned drones program, according to a new video from the Air Force. The Air Force has already developed a drone capable of hovering like a mothThe US Airforce has proudly released a video with their latest publicly known drone technology. I say "publicly known" because there are other even more amazing technologies still in an early and secret development stage.
    MAVs (Micro Air Vehicles) are tiny drones that can fly in swarms, hover above their targets, and even crawl on them and execute them.
    Among their non-lethal capabilities, they can do outdoor and indoor surveillance, and inject their human targets with incapacitating chemicals.  But they can also blow up the whole thing with explosives.
    If you get hysterical at the sight of a spider crawling on your leg, or a bee buzzing near your nose, it's hard to imagine what even the thought of these swarming and crawling drones will do to your mind.
    Sweet dreams.
