Meryl Streep used her moment of honor and glory at the Globe Awards yesterday, as she received a Lifetime Achievement Award,  to attack President Elect Donald Trump.  In a voice perfectly conveying her distress, she accused Donald Trump as having mocked a disabled person, and recalled that moment with these words:

It was that moment when the person asking to sit in the most respected seat in our country imitated a disabled reporter, someone he outranked in privilege and power and the capacity to fight back.  It, it kind of broke my heart when I saw it and I still can’t get it out my head ...

It's rather ironic that she displayed such deep compassion for a disabled reporter, and yet she was completely oblivious of the Chicago disabled white boy who just a few days ago was kidnapped, degraded, tied up, tortured, terrorized, beaten and injured by black eighteen-year-old thugs - the same black youth the Democrats elevate to the category of victims, no matter how horrible their crimes.  

 

The Democrats have left American society more divided than ever along racial lines, with their identity politics and constant incitement against whites and those who uphold traditional family values.  Voters got fed up, and in spite of widespread vote fraud by people who voted multiple times without being required to have an identity card, Trump won. 

 

The presidential campaign showed Democrats and their supporters in their true light, as their mobs physically attacked Trump supporters and their property.  NOT ONCE did President Obama made a call for Democrat supporters to RESPECT their opponents for the sake of the electoral process.  

 

FURTHERMORE, Hillary's agenda included importing MILLIONS of Muslim and other migrants, regardless of the safety of the American public.

 

Where is your compassion, Meryl Streep, for the countless victims of crimes committed by  Muslim and illegal migrants who have raped, and even killed innocent Americans? 

 

Where is your compassion for the many who have been left DISABLED by jihadi attacks on Americans?

Mirren said Wednesday, June 22, 2016, that she was a "believer" in Israel and rejected efforts to boycott it. Mirren visited Israel to host the Genesis Prize, an a $1 million award known as "the Jewish Nobel," which is being awarded to Israeli-American violinist Itzhak Perlman for his accomplishments as a musician, teacher and advocate for the disabled.

The causal link between vaccines and subsequent ailments in adults and children has long been a subject regarded as taboo by the medical establishment, government, and media. 

 

There is solid evidence by reputable scientists that several illnesses and disorders have their origin in vaccines.  But the pharmaceutical industry is so powerful that scientists and researchers who insist on exposing the truth are too often censored, discredited, ridiculed, and even persecuted out of their jobs.  Big money is at stake.

DUSTIN HOFFMAN cried during the show Finding Your Roots, and expressed his deep emotions about his Jewish ancestry, repeating "I AM A JEW".  Rather curious, considering he has been a strong supporter of the Palestinian anti-Jewish demonization campaign.

One of the most disturbing characteristics of the entertainment industry is its enforcement of a far-left point of view.  Nobody in it dares to defy it, lest it may negatively affect their career - no matter how immoral and depraved their favorite causes turn out to be.

 

Thus we witnessed top Hollywood celebrities either remain silent or express warm support for Michael Jackson, although his proclivity for befriending little boys and then taking them to his bed was very well known.  He had even settled some lawsuits out of court on this matter.  But Hollywood's loyalty to Michael Jackson never wavered because he was one of them, and depravity in that milieu is now mainstream.

The entertainment industry's anti-Israel campaign is one of the top issues in their political activism, and too many stars with Jewish ancestry go along with it, and even become enthusiastic participants in the boycott and demonization of Israel.

 

Dustin Hoffman is one of them.  In 2013 he expressed full support for "Five Broken Cameras," a Palestinian-Arab film that viciously attacked Israel, calling the film maker "a voice of courage and conscience"

Emad Burnat, the storyteller in “5 Broken Cameras,” is from the village of Bil’in, which has been the site of a weekly protest by Arabs and leftist rioters intent on provoking Israelis. The protests are ostensibly about a security fence.  The 5 broken cameras refer, according to Burnat, to five different cameras of his which were broken by the Israelis.

• Do they ever take a look at websites that publish the ongoing Nazi-inspired Palestinian demonization of Jews and their vicious incitement to murder them? 
• Are they aware of the many Jewish men, women and children who have been attacked and killed by Palestinians just because they are Jews?

• Is Hoffman - who cried over his brave ancestors barely escaping persecution - aware that the Palestinian leader during the 1930s and 40s, the Mufti of Jerusalem, was a Nazi, and Hitler's close ally in Berlin in the design and implementation of the Final Solution?
• Has he ever seen images of his beloved Palestinian militia routinely making the Nazi salute?
• Do Hoffman and other Jewish celebrities ever reflec on the fact that not only the Bible, but history books themselves, acknowledge that Judea, Samaria, and Jerusalem have been Jewish lands for thousands of years, and that Arabs living there are the descendants of the Muslim invader who conquered them in the 7th century?  How can Israel be an occupier of its own land?

Tear-choked Dustin Hoffman may want to take back support for anti-Israel film  

Jewish Press - Having discovered the depth of his Jewish connection last week, Dustin Hoffman may want to reconsider the support he lent back in 2013 to a Palestinian-Arab film that viciously and unfairly attacked the Jewish State, using misleading cinematic means to paint Israelis as monsters.

 

There were few dry eyes in many Jewish homes last week, when Academy Award winner Dustin Hoffman discovered on the latest episode of the PBS series “Finding Your Roots” that both his Jewish grandfather and great-grandfather were killed by the Soviets. His great-grandmother spent five years in a Soviet concentration camp before arriving in America. 

For some reason, Hoffman’s late father, Harry, hid this information from his wife and two boys, possibly because in 1940s and 50s America Jews avoided anything that connected them to their Russian roots.

It's a film full of surprises so I won't spoil it by telling you much about the plot, except that it's about a magician (the kind who uses tricks in theatrical performances) - and what happens when he meets an attractive girl with supernatural gifts. 

What ensues for the magician is a sequence of profound personal transformations, the greatest of all being the magic of true love. 

The subtle message of this movie, whether it was intended or not, is that this man - who is a militant atheist - has sublimated his need for a belief in something into unquestioning trust in a lifelong friend who persuades him to meet this girl in order to debunk her. 

And that is the crux of the matter.  People or societies who don't believe in God tend to channel their needs for a belief in something into a belief in other people or in ideologies.

FATWA ISSUED AGAINST ACTOR RUSSELL CROWE FOR VIOLATING ISLAMIC LAW WITH MOVIE "NOAH"

One of the world's most respected Islamic institutions has issued a fatwa against a Hollywood epic about Noah's Ark because it 'contradicts the teachings of Islam'.  Russell Crowe's £75million film Noah has also been banned in three Arab countries after religious leaders complained that it depicted the Biblical figure - who is also a holy messenger in the Koran. 

Due to premiere later this month, the blockbuster will not show in Qatar, Bahrain or the United Arab Emirates and several other countries are expected to follow suit. 

 

Islam forbids representing holy figures in art, instead using conceptual line patterns and lettering to adorn the walls of mosques.  A whole chapter of the Koran is devoted to Noah, who legend tells built an ark which saved himself, his family and many pairs of animals from a great flood.

The fatwa - a ruling or injunction under the laws of Islam - was made by the influential Al-Azhar institution in Egypt's capital Cairo, a centre of Sunni Islam thought which was founded in around AD970 and includes a university and a mosque.  'Al-Azhar... renews its objection to any act depicting the messengers and prophets of God and the companions of the Prophet (Mohammad), peace be upon him,' it announced in a statement.  The fatwa added that the depictions 'provoke the feelings of believers... and are forbidden in Islam and a clear violation of Islamic law'.

I do not watch the Oscars or follow celebrity news, but this morning I found the web filled with unkind and even cruel remarks against Kim Novak, who made a short appearance at the ceremony.

 

 

DO WE LIVE IN THE MATRIX? TESTS WILL TELL

 

Tests could reveal whether we are part of a giant computer simulation — but the real question is if we want to know...

In the 1999 sci-fi film classic The Matrix, the protagonist, Neo, is stunned to see people defying the laws of physics, running up walls and vanishing suddenly.

 

These superhuman violations of the rules of the universe are possible because, unbeknownst to him, Neo’s consciousness is embedded in the Matrix, a virtual-reality simulation created by sentient machines. 

 

The action really begins when Neo is given a fateful choice: Take the blue pill and return to his oblivious, virtual existence, or take the red pill to learn the truth about the Matrix and find out “how deep the rabbit hole goes.” 

 

Physicists can now offer us the same choice, the ability to test whether we live in our own virtual Matrix, by studying radiation from space.

 

As fanciful as it sounds, some philosophers have long argued that we’re actually more likely to be artificial intelligences trapped in a fake universe than we are organic minds in the “real” one. 

 

But if that were true, the very laws of physics that allow us to devise such reality-checking technology may have little to do with the fundamental rules that govern the meta-universe inhabited by our simulators. To us, these programmers would be gods, able to twist reality on a whim. 

 

So should we say yes to the offer to take the red pill and learn the truth — or are the implications too disturbing?

 

The first serious attempt to find the truth about our universe came in 2001, when an effort to calculate the resources needed for a universe-size simulation made the prospect seem impossible.

OUR FASCINATION WITH DISASTER MOVIES

"HERE ON EARTH" BY TIM FLANNERY  - PART 2 

As a fan of disaster movies, I sometimes feel embarrassed to admit it.

I make it a point to avoid movies involving violence, cruelty, horror, and generally anything to do with drama.  Chick flics are fine with me as long as they are comedies. I feel repelled by tragedy.  But I make an exception when it comes to science fiction and disaster movies.  

Years ago I watched The Day After Tomorrow  and the Imax documentary Forces of Nature about twenty times each.  I sit mesmerized in front of the TV newscast whenever there is a major natural disaster,  going through possible similar scenarios in my mind and ways in which I would deal with them.

While Romans in the ancient empire regularly watched sadistic and bloody live shows in the Coliseum, now people watch simulations on television.  Why do they do that?  

Tim Flannery has a theory.  He does not elaborate on it, but just makes a reference to a possible human genetic propensity to be fascinated with violence as a spectator activity.

He writes:  There may be an evolutionary reason for this fascination.  Birds will flock about if one of their numbers is caught by a hawk. Perhaps we are genetically predisposed to observe such things from a safe distance, because we may learn how to avoid a similar fate. (Page 144)
