NEWS UPDATE June 5 - Religious Jewish student part of Hebrew University school field trip to Temple Mount is blocked by police from entering Temple Mount because of his religiosity (was wearing a kippa under his baseball cap).
Jewish men were once against mobbed and attacked on the Temple Mount on Wednesday - this time, by Arab women loitering at Judaism's holy site who pounced on them for daring to drink from the water fountain.
Footage shows the Mourabitoun, Muslim women who serve as guards over the Mount by harassing and occasionally assaulting Jews who visit, surrounding the two visitors, shouting "Allahu Akhbar."
We are being manipulated. We don't always know how, but we sense that political and financial interests have mastered the art of pushing our emotional buttons while exploiting our ignorance in order to advance their agendas.
The list of current issues that are - if not completely manufactured - at least significantly distorted is long.
Here is a small sample:
1)Elect Hillary just because she's a woman. Until scandals exploded in her face, Hillary Clinton was being pushed as the most logical Democrat candidate to the presidency because she is a woman. In other words, her gender was her leading attribute for the presidency. Having a woman president trumped all other concerns about her disturbing track record dating back to her years as a lawyer in Arkansas. Feminist propaganda and political correctness has that numbing effect on us.
2)Climate change as the biggest threat ever It has been defined by top world leaders as the biggest threat to humans and to the planet. It used to be called global warming, but that got discredited very quickly, so the threat was redefined as climate change, which covers all possibilities.
However, world climate is in constant flux. That shouldn't be "news". The history of planet Earth has been dramatic: continents have shifted again and again; there were times when our atmosphere was toxic to life; and we have had "snowball Earth" periods when our entire planet was covered with ice, although volcanos eventually took care of that.

What is a real threat to humans and to life on this planet is nuclear power in its many forms. Nuclear power plants can go into complete meltdown if our power grid is ever destroyed. And what could do that?
A nuclear device exploded in the atmosphere could cause an EMP effect - an electromagnetic pulse that would fry the power grid and all electronics, unleashing the meltdown of dozens of nuclear power plants in the affected area, which could be the entire United States and Canada. A major solar flare coming in our direction could do the same thing.

That could happen tomorrow. And yet, we are not prepared for that, and the media rarely mentions it. The destruction of the power grid would plunge Canada and the US into the stone age. Anything that needs computers to function, including transportation, would come to a halt.
Nuclear power - and not climate change - is the real nightmare. But we don't hear much about that because those who manipulate us don't want us to turn against nuclear power and the ticking bombs called nuclear power plants. There is too much money invested in them.
Canada, my country, just made a terrific deal to sell tons of uranium to India for their nuclear industry.
3)SHHH - Don't mention OVERPOPULATION The subject of overpopulation has become taboo, perhaps because it is most prominent among people of color. Although Western women are having fewer babies than ever, people from other cultures continue to reproduce at an alarming rate. Their babies will demand more natural resources, and will originate more waste. They will cut down the remaining trees; continue to poison rivers, lakes, and oceans with their pollution; raise, torture and slaughter billions of animals for consumption, and drive wildlife to extinction.
Activists who claim to love planet Earth should spend their time advocating for zero population growth instead of the myriad of little projects to make the world "greener".
The fact is that all their so-called green solutions have backfired. Solar panels and wind turbines kill millions of birds.
The problem is not fossil fuels as much as the out-of-control reproductive growth of humans on this planet.

Those are big manipulative projects, and not hard to understand once we have the facts.
But there are other more historical manipulations that have propagated like a virus, covering up or distorting well documented facts and logical thinking. One of them is calling Israelis "Nazis" while obscuring the enthusiastic participation by the Mufti of Jerusalem, the Palestinian Arab leader at the time, in the design and implementation of the Holocaust. The genocidal Nazi ideology is still very much alive in the Muslim world, and very particularly among Palestinians, who demonize Jews and plan the eventual destruction of the Jewish people. The other blatant propaganda manipulation is accusing Israel of Apartheid, while covering up the historical and ongoing discrimination and apartheid against Jews by Muslim societies. Israeli Apartheid?
Critics like to use the word Apartheid to demonize Israel. This in spite of unquestionable historical facts, which have been paved over with relentless propaganda.
There is no separation between Israeli Arabs and Israeli Jews. Israeli Arabs participate fully in Israeli society, except that they don't take part in the defense of the country. But there is separation between Arabs living in the Palestinian Authority - who used to have Jordanian citizenship until Jordan revoked it - and the rest of Israelis.

Why do only English speakers celebrate “Easter”? Most other peoples of the world call the holiday observed by Christians this Sunday by some variant of the word “Pascha.” (Eastern Orthodox churches will observe the holiday on April 12.)
Blame it on a woman — and no ordinary woman at that — a goddess. As recounted by the English monk Bede, the 7th-8th century “father of English history,” the former pagans in England called April, or the month marking Jesus’s resurrection, “Ēosturmōnaþ” — Old English for the “Month of Ēostre.”
According to Bede in his “De temporum ratione” (“The Reckoning of Time”), the Christian holiday “was called after a goddess of theirs named Ēostre, in whose honor feasts were celebrated in that month.”
Jordan certainly knows about symbolic gestures. They used Jewish tombstones from Mount of Olives as LATRINESand construction material during their occupation of Jerusalem, which ended with the city's liberation in 1967. Here Jordan King Abdullah arranged the décor so as to have swords pointing at visiting Israel's PM during meeting.

And who can forget President Obama's message to the Arab world with an official photo of himself talking with PM Netanyahu on the phone, while gesturing a Muslim insult.
The official White House photo below shows the US president with his feet on his desk and the sole of his shoes towards the camera - and in a symbolic way also towards the Israeli PM.
Showing the soles of your shoes to another person is a very serious insult in the Middle East.
This insult was well understood by both Muslims and Israelis.
Having been raised in Muslim countries, the president may have been well aware of the significance of this insulting gesture.

Hamas has sworn to destroy Israel and to slaughter Jews every chance they get.
But the Israeli government treats Hamas leaders and their relatives with consideration.
The Israeli government has also provided unlimited amounts of cement to Hamas over the years, knowing that it was being used to build terror tunnels.
The Palestinian Authority leaders are not any better - although they have cunningly deceived the West about their true nature. They normally have two sets of scripts: one racist and bellicose for the home audience, and a moderate one for the West.
But the most obscene concession by Israeli authorities to the enemy is the acquiescence to partition the ancient land of Israel in order to create a Muslim terror state devoted to the destruction of Israel and the Jews.
Imagine what would the six million Jewish victims of Nazi genocide say at the fact that the German Nazis' closest collaborator - the Muslim Nazis - would one day be rewarded with historically Jewish land for the creation of a Nazi state of their own.
And Israel - isolated and micromanaged by the State Department - engages in suicidal policies that empower the enemy and discriminate against Jews.

Israel National News - The daughter of the leader of Gaza's Hamas terror militia, Ismail Haniyeh, received emergency medical treatment in an Israeli hospital in Tel Aviv earlier this month, according to Reuters news agency.
"Ismail Haniyeh's daughter was indeed hospitalized for medical treatment for several days at the hospital,” Ichilov Hospital said. “Over 1,000 patients from Gaza and the Palestinian Authority territories – both adults and children – are hospitalized for treatment at our hospital every year.”
The daughter is one of Haniyeh's 13 children. She reportedly received treatment for a week, after complications that occurred during a routine operation she underwent.
Several of Haniyeh's relatives have received medical treatment in Israel, including his mother in-law and granddaughter, despite the fact that he has pledged Israel's utter destruction.
Hamas routinely and intentionally targets Israeli children with its bombs. One of the last victims of Hamas's rockets in the summer war with Israel was four-year-old Daniel Tragerman hy"d, of Nahal Oz.

Gaza has a population of close to two million, just minutes from Tel Aviv. The blockade began after Hamas took over the territory in 2007, But still, goods move across the border. About 50% of imported goods come from Israel, and their value reaches in the hundreds of thousands of dollars. Now that Egypt is not in good terms with Hamas and has closed a number of tunnels, Gaza is even more dependent on Israel for the importation of goods.
Since 2010, Israel has allowed Gazans to use the port of Asdod, the Allenby Bridge into Jordan, and Ben-Gurion International Airport for their exports.
Israeli companies use middlemen to export to Gaza, so it's hard to get them to admit of trading with the enemy. One company that makes no secret of its booming business with Gaza is a cement conglomerate, which has been selling cement to Gazans for many years. Officially the cement is to build schools and homes. But everyone knows that they use to build tunnels.

The "Esplanade of the Mosques" is the TEMPLE MOUNT - where the Jewish Temple used to be. Solomon's Temple. The temple the invading Romans destroyed, and where the invading Arabs from Arabia built their mosque, usurping this sacred Jewish site for themselves and renaming it Al Quds. (Blogger).

So Pope Francis comes to Jerusalem, where Jesus Christ, his Lord and Savior last preached. He goes to the Mount where both of the Jewish Temples once stood. The Temples that are mentioned many, many times in both the Old and New Testaments, places of enormous significance in Christian theology. It was a pilgrimage to the Temple that brought Jesus Christ to Jerusalem that fateful Passover.
“Temple Mount?” says the Pope. “I neither know nor understand what you are talking about. I am up here on the Esplanade of the Mosques, schmoozing with the Grand Mufti.”
Political correctness is one thing; denying that you are a follower of Jesus Christ is another. For the Pope, the world’s most conspicuous Christian, to deny the Temple is beneath contempt. What is next? Calling his pilgrimage to Jerusalem a visit to Al Quds?
Jerusalem is never mentioned in the Quran and Mohammed never set foot on Its soil.
Despite 1,300 years of Muslim Arab rule, Jerusalem was never the capital of an Arab entity, nor was it ever mentioned in the Palestine Liberation Organization’s covenant until Israel regained control of East Jerusalem in the Six-Day War of 1967. Overall, the role of Jerusalem in Islam is best understood as the outcome of political exigencies impacting religious belief.
Mohammed, who founded Islam in 622 CE, was born and raised in present-day Saudi Arabia and never set foot in Jerusalem. His connection to the city came years after his death when the Dome of the Rock shrine and the al-Aqsa mosque were built in 688 and 691, respectively, their construction spurred by political and religious rivalries.

One reason they wanted to erect a holy structure in Jerusalem was to proclaim Islam’s supremacy over Christianity and its most important shrine, the Church of the Holy Sepulcher.
More important was the power struggle within Islam itself. The Damascus-based Umayyad Caliphs who controlled Jerusalem wanted to establish an alternative holy site if their rivals blocked access to Mecca.
That was important because the Hajj, or pilgrimage to Mecca, was (and remains today) one of the Five Pillars of Islam. As a result, they built what became known as the Dome of the Rock shrine and the adjacent mosque.
To enhance the prestige of the ‘substitute Mecca,’ the Jerusalem mosque was named al-Aqsa. It means ‘the furthest mosque’ in Arabic, but has far broader implications, since it is the same phrase used in a key passage of the Quran called “The Night Journey.”
In that passage, Mohammed arrives at ‘al-Aqsa’ on a winged steed accompanied by the Archangel Gabriel; from there they ascend into heaven for a divine meeting with Allah, after which Mohammed returns to Mecca.
Naming the Jerusalem mosque al-Aqsa was an attempt to say the Dome of the Rock was the very spot from which Mohammed ascended to heaven, thus tying Jerusalem to divine revelation in Islamic belief.
The problem however, is that Mohammed died in the year 632, nearly 50 years before the first construction of the al-Aqsa Mosque was completed.
Jerusalem never replaced the importance of Mecca in the Islamic world. When the Umayyad dynasty fell in 750, Jerusalem also fell into near obscurity for 350 years, until the Crusades. During those centuries, many Islamic sites in Jerusalem fell into disrepair and in 1016 the Dome of the Rock collapsed.
Still, for 1,300 years, various Islamic dynasties (Syrian, Egyptian and Turkish) continued to govern Jerusalem as part of their overall control of the Land of Israel, disrupted only by the Crusaders.
What is amazing is that over that period, not one Islamic dynasty ever made Jerusalem its capital.
By the 19th century Jerusalem had been so neglected by Islamic rulers that several prominent Western writers who visited Jerusalem were moved to write about it.
French writer Gustav Flaubert, for example, found “ruins everywhere” during his visit in 1850 when it was part of the Turkish Empire (1516-1917).
Seventeen years later Mark Twain wrote that Jerusalem had “become a pauper village.”
Indeed, Jerusalem’s importance in the Islamic world only appears evident when non-Muslims (including the Crusaders, the British and the Jews) control or capture the city. Only at those points in history did Islamic leaders claim Jerusalem as their third most holy city after Mecca and Medina.
That was again the case in 1967, when Israel captured Jordanian-controlled East Jerusalem (and the Old City) during the 1967 Six-Day War.
Oddly, the PLO’s National Covenant, written in 1964, never mentioned Jerusalem.
Only after Israel regained control of the entire city did the PLO ‘update’ its Covenant to include Jerusalem.
