Environmental factors are blamed for the sharp increase in cases of autism in children.  According to the Autism Science Foundation, in 2014 1 in 68 children were diagnosed with autism, 30% more than in 2012, when it was 1 in 88.

Harvard University study shows environmental pollution as one cause for the dramatic rise in autism.

Statistics also show that humans are getting less intelligent.  IQ has declined 14 points since the Victorian era.

Daily Mail - Is pollution giving polar bears brain damage? Chemicals from stain repellent disrupt brain signal in Arctic predators.

Researchers found pollutants were associated with lower levels of neurotransmitters in polar bear brain tissue
He seems to be saying, I've got serious problems, man
    Stop polluting my world.  Please.

  • Researchers at University of Copenhagen studied polar bear brain tissue
  • They found perfluoroalkyl pollutants accumulated in the animals' brains

The insides of this dead albatross were full of garbage he had ingested.
Although the birds live on Midway Atoll in the north Pacific, 2,000 miles from any substantial land, their isolation doesn't save them from the global problem. The Laysan Albatrosses nesting there mistake the floating plastic for food and bring it back for their chicks who die eating it (pictured)

We are spending billions of dollars trying to find a trace of life on other planets, while we are willfully destroying magnificent species right here on Earth.

Splash down: The creatures barrel through the surf in their quest to reach the shore
We humans are decimating all ocean life through out-of-control fishing and pollution.

  • Weight of plastic pollution in the seas is estimated to be 269,000 tonnes
  • Data was combined with a computer simulation of floating debris dispersal
  • It indicated that the oceans contain at least 5.25 trillion plastic pieces
  • Albatrosses on remote islands have been found to be ingesting so much plastic their stomachs become full and they die
  • Sea turtles have also been found starving after mistakenly eating plastic
  • Scientists found billions of plastic shopping bags, bottles, toys, action figures, toothbrushes, fishing gear and even toilet seats floating in the waves.
