THE PERSECUTION OF CHRISTIANS BY MUSLIM PALESTINIANS - And their steady disappearance from ancient holy land - Official Muslim discrimination, harassment and violence has driven them away

• The Palestinian Authority (PA) rules over Arabs living in Judea and Samaria (West Bank).  This was the result of the US-instigated Oslo Accords of the early 1990s.
• Although not an independent country, it has its own government, judiciary, and police.
• A set of laws concerns Dhimmis,  - Christians and other non-Muslims living in a subservient status, and subject to discriminatory regulations. 
• Once Muslims invaded the land of Israel in the 7th century, they tried to force conversion on the inhabitants of the land (Jews and Christians) and imposed Islam's dhimmi laws on them.
• Because, under dhimmi laws, non-Muslims under Muslim rule may not testify against Muslims, it is virtually impossible for Christians to use the judicial system to recover lands and property stolen by Muslims.
• The erosion of the Christian presence has peaked under Palestinian Authority rule. 
• Bethlehem went from 60% Christian in the 1990s to just 10% today.  
• In the meantime, Christian population inside Israel continues to grow and has now reached approximately 140,000. 
• In spite of factual evidence of persecution of Christians by Muslims in the Palestinian Authority, Christian churches in the West continue with their vicious campaign of demonization and boycotts against Israel.

"All this talk about Israel being behind the pain of Christians in the Palestinian Territories is nonsense. Muslims intimidate us. They burn our stores, steal our real estate. They build mosques beside our churches, and make sure that the calls for prayer disrupt our services. They attack our daughters. There are many cases of rape that have never been reported. Families hide it out of shame, they move away. They flee." — Christian official.

 

Under dhimmi laws, non-Muslims under Muslim rule may not testify against Muslims, so it is virtually impossible for Christians whose lands have been stolen, or whose lives have been threatened, to appeal to the local legal system.

 

Apparently the story is only appealing when Israel can be blamed.

POPE FRANCIS SAYS USING FORCE TO STOP MUSLIM TERRORISTS WHO KILL THE INNOCENT IS JUSTIFIED - Except when the terrorists are Palestinians who murder Jews

The Pope backs military action in Iraq to stop the bloody persecution of thousands of Christians by Muslims.

 

Asked if he approved of the unilateral American action on militants he said: ‘In these cases, where there is an unjust aggression, I can only say that it is licit to stop the unjust.'

 

However, in a recent visit to Israel - and following long Vatican tradition - he offered unequivocal support for Palestinians who murder innocent Jewish men, women and children, and expressed criticism of Israeli security measures that save Jewish lives.

 

Doesn't he consider the murder of Jews "unjust aggression" too?  Apparently not.

While Islam goes on its rampage against Christians, the Presbyterian Church, true to character, attacks Israel, the ONLY country in the Middle East where Christians live in peace.

 

Christian Churches' blatant anti-Semitism is nothing less than obscene - considering that it comes in the wake of centuries of Christian persecution and genocide of Jews.

 

Now that Jews are no longer at the mercy of Christians and their pogroms, Inquisition, and death camps, and have finally re-established their ancient home in Israel, the Christian establishment has been relentless in their war against the Jewish state - via propaganda, demonization and economic warfare.  They should be ashamed of themselves!

 

Christian concern for the Palestinians is bogus.  There are other populations in the world that are being starved, persecuted, and massacred - particularly Christians - but there is not enough time for Christian organizations to focus on their urgent and desperate plight because they are too busy agitating against Israel.

The Christian concern for the Palestinians is just a ruse to demonize Jews, isolate Israel, and soften up the Jewish victim for destruction.

Could this be the reason why Christians do not protest too loudly against Muslim persecution and murder of Christians?

 

We have all seen the pictures of popes and their many warm and affectionate meetings with Palestinian terrorists.  Pope John Paul II met TWELVE times with Yassir Arafat.  

 

Current pope Francis just made a pilgrimage to areas controlled by the Palestinian Authority, indulging in many symbolic and explicit acts of support for Palestinian terror against Jews.

 

What seems to be behind this love for Palestinians and alliance with Islam is a tacit or maybe explicit agreement between Christian organizations and Islam to restrain criticism of Islam's violence in exchange for Islam's ongoing efforts to kill Jews and destroy Israel.

THE JORDANIAN DESECRATION OF HOLY SITES DURING THEIR OCCUPATION OF JERUSALEM

 

Where was the Christian outrage when Jordanians occupied and desecrated Jewish and Christian holy sites? 

Upon its capture by the Arab Legion, the Jewish Quarter of the Old City was destroyed and its residents expelled.

 

Fifty-eight synagogues--some hundreds of years old--were destroyed, their contents looted and desecrated.

 

Some Jewish religious sites were turned into chicken coops or animal stalls.

 

The Jewish cemetery on the Mount of Olives, where Jews had been burying their dead for over 2500 years, was ransacked; graves were desecrated; thousands of tombstones were smashed and used as building material, paving stones or for latrines in Arab Legion army camps.

 

The Intercontinental Hotel was built on top of the cemetery and graves were demolished to make way for a highway to the hotel. The Western Wall became a slum area.

 

While Christians, unlike Jews, were allowed access to their holy sites, they too were subject to restrictions under Jordanian law.

 

There were limits on the numbers of Christian pilgrims permitted into the Old City and Bethlehem during Christmas and Easter.

 

Christian charities and religious institutions were prohibited from buying real estate in Jerusalem. And Christian schools were subject to strict controls. They were required to teach in Arabic, close on Friday, the Muslim holy day, and teach all students the Koran. At the same time, they were not allowed to teach Christian religious material to non-Christians.

THE CHRISTIAN EFFORT TO DEPRIVE JEWS FROM JEWISH HOLY SITES BY PARTITIONING ISRAEL AND JERUSALEM

It's OK if the Muslims get them, as long as the Jews don't.

 

Christians do not mind losing access to their holy sites, as long as Jews don't have control of them. 

What's behind this effort to destroy the Jews at any price is called REPLACEMENT THEOLOGY.

 

An essential part of Replacement Theology, or Suppressionist Theology, is the replacement of the Torah and the Old Testament with the New Testament. 

 

“Replacement theology,” the most ancient Christian calumny argues that because of Jewish denial of Christ's alleged divinity Jews have forfeited God’s promises to them which have been transferred to the Church.

 

The effort to institute Replacement Theology has been hampered through the centuries by the existence of Jews - and now by now tiny Israel's self-defence.  So to apply Replacement Theology, Jews have to convert, or die.

'Peace' in this context is a euphemism that actually means the partition of Israel and the handing over of Biblical Jewish land to Arab terrorists for a state of their own.

Pope prays at security wall filled with graffiti demonizing Jews.  You can see one that compares the wall with the Warsaw Ghetto.  The irony is that Nazis were murdering Jews at the Warsaw Ghetto, and then Muslim Nazis continued to murder Jews in Israel - hence the need for a protective security barrier for the Jews. 

 

Not many people know that during the 1940s the Palestinian leader at that time, the Mufti of Jerusalem, lived in Berlin and had a key role in the design and the implementation of the Final Solution.  After the war he returned to the Middle East and indoctrinated a new generation of Arab leaders, among them Yassir Arafat and the current president of the Palestinian Authority, Mahmoud Abbas.  The Nazis never went away.  These days Hitler and Nazism are still very popular among Palestinians, and serve as their inspiration.

The pope has no intention to refute the Arab narrative.  The Church was indifferent to the mass genocide of Jews by German Nazis, helped Nazi criminals escape after the war, and has presented a consistent anti-Jewish stance from the its very beginning many centuries ago.

The Pope has left after his 24 hour whirlwind tour of Jerusalem. Not a second too soon, as far as I’m concerned. His visit here epitomizes everything that’s wrong with Israel’s relations with the non-Jewish world.   Don’t get me wrong, he seems like a nice enough guy from Argentina and he seems to be a soccer/football fan (since he’s from Argentina, how can he not be?), but he didn’t come to Israel representing himself.

 

Pope Francis 

He came to Israel representing the very same institution that brought us the Crusades and the Inquisition.

 

Over 2,000 years, the Church forced Jews into ghettos and made Jews wear funny hats and yellow patches, forced Jews into conversion and hounded us to the ends of the earth.

 

You would think that there would be a bit of contrition. You would think that with his tears in his eyes, the Pope would beg forgiveness from the Jewish people: “sorry about burning you at the stake, sorry about the forced conversions, sorry about the Inquisition, sorry about the inactivity during the Holocaust.”

Pope Francis made a speech  in Israel in which he called the Holocaust "a tragedy".

Merriam Webster - Tragedy:

1) a very bad event that causes great sadness and often involves someone's death.

2) : a very sad, unfortunate, or upsetting situation : something that causes strong feelings of sadness or regret.

 3) : a play, movie, etc., that is serious and has a sad ending (such as the death of the main character)

 

A tragedy?  The Holocaust was a major crime, a genocide.  It was a crime with which the Vatican was heavily involved.

One can simply imagine the horror the Pope must feel, knowing that this is one of the last lines of defense against Palestinian terrorists who would eagerly blow themselves up just to murder Jews.

The "Esplanade of the Mosques" is the TEMPLE MOUNT - where the Jewish Temple used to be.  Solomon's Temple. The temple the invading Romans destroyed, and where the invading Arabs from Arabia built their mosque, usurping this sacred Jewish site for themselves and renaming it Al Quds. (Blogger). 

 

Shortly before the Romans came to haul him away, Jesus Christ predicted that Peter would deny him three times before the cock crowed twice.  After the Roman’s seized Jesus, Peter followed him at a distant to the high priest’s courtyard.

So Pope Francis comes to Jerusalem, where Jesus Christ, his Lord and Savior last preached.  He goes to the Mount where both of the Jewish Temples once stood. The Temples that are mentioned many, many times in both the Old and New Testaments, places of enormous significance in Christian theology.  It was a pilgrimage to the Temple that brought Jesus Christ to Jerusalem that fateful Passover.

 

“Temple Mount?”  says the Pope.  “I neither know nor understand what you are talking about.  I am up here on the Esplanade of the Mosques, schmoozing with the Grand Mufti.”

 

Political correctness is one thing; denying that you are a follower of Jesus Christ is another.  For the Pope, the world’s most conspicuous Christian, to deny the Temple is beneath contempt.  What is next?  Calling his pilgrimage to Jerusalem a visit to Al Quds?

Islam's tenuous connection to Jerusalem

Jerusalem is never mentioned in the Quran and Mohammed never set foot on Its soil.

Despite 1,300 years of Muslim Arab rule, Jerusalem was never the capital of an Arab entity, nor was it ever mentioned in the Palestine Liberation Organization’s covenant until Israel regained control of East Jerusalem in the Six-Day War of 1967.  Overall, the role of Jerusalem in Islam is best understood as the outcome of political exigencies impacting religious belief.

 

Mohammed, who founded Islam in 622 CE, was born and raised in present-day Saudi Arabia and never set foot in Jerusalem. His connection to the city came years after his death when the Dome of the Rock shrine and the al-Aqsa mosque were built in 688 and 691, respectively, their construction spurred by political and religious rivalries.

One reason they wanted to erect a holy structure in Jerusalem was to proclaim Islam’s supremacy over Christianity and its most important shrine, the Church of the Holy Sepulcher.

 

More important was the power struggle within Islam itself. The Damascus-based Umayyad Caliphs who controlled Jerusalem wanted to establish an alternative holy site if their rivals blocked access to Mecca.

 

That was important because the Hajj, or pilgrimage to Mecca, was (and remains today) one of the Five Pillars of Islam. As a result, they built what became known as the Dome of the Rock shrine and the adjacent mosque.

 

To enhance the prestige of the ‘substitute Mecca,’ the Jerusalem mosque was named al-Aqsa. It means ‘the furthest mosque’ in Arabic, but has far broader implications, since it is the same phrase used in a key passage of the Quran called “The Night Journey.”

 

In that passage, Mohammed arrives at ‘al-Aqsa’ on a winged steed accompanied by the Archangel Gabriel; from there they ascend into heaven for a divine meeting with Allah, after which Mohammed returns to Mecca.

 

Naming the Jerusalem mosque al-Aqsa was an attempt to say the Dome of the Rock was the very spot from which Mohammed ascended to heaven, thus tying Jerusalem to divine revelation in Islamic belief.

 

The problem however, is that Mohammed died in the year 632, nearly 50 years before the first construction of the al-Aqsa Mosque was completed.

 

Jerusalem never replaced the importance of Mecca in the Islamic world. When the Umayyad dynasty fell in 750, Jerusalem also fell into near obscurity for 350 years, until the Crusades. During those centuries, many Islamic sites in Jerusalem fell into disrepair and in 1016 the Dome of the Rock collapsed.

 

Still, for 1,300 years, various Islamic dynasties (Syrian, Egyptian and Turkish) continued to govern Jerusalem as part of their overall control of the Land of Israel, disrupted only by the Crusaders.

 

What is amazing is that over that period, not one Islamic dynasty ever made Jerusalem its capital. 

 

By the 19th century Jerusalem had been so neglected by Islamic rulers that several prominent Western writers who visited Jerusalem were moved to write about it.

 

French writer Gustav Flaubert, for example, found “ruins everywhere” during his visit in 1850 when it was part of the Turkish Empire (1516-1917).

 

Seventeen years later Mark Twain wrote that Jerusalem had “become a pauper village.”

 

Indeed, Jerusalem’s importance in the Islamic world only appears evident when non-Muslims (including the Crusaders, the British and the Jews) control or capture the city. Only at those points in history did Islamic leaders claim Jerusalem as their third most holy city after Mecca and Medina. 

 

That was again the case in 1967, when Israel captured Jordanian-controlled East Jerusalem (and the Old City) during the 1967 Six-Day War.

 

Oddly, the PLO’s National Covenant, written in 1964, never mentioned Jerusalem.

 

Only after Israel regained control of the entire city did the PLO ‘update’ its Covenant to include Jerusalem.
