THE ARMENIAN GENOCIDE - How the White House refuses to call it a "genocide," and its efforts to downplay its significance and magnitude because it was perpetrated by Islam - The many instances when the US refused to acknowledge other genocides, including the Holocaust, and help the victims, out of political convenience

Daily Mail: Genocide of the Christians: The blood-soaked depravity exceeded even today's atrocities by Islamic State
Now, 100 years on Turkey faces global disgust at its refusal to admit butchering over a MILLION Armenians

Armenian widow with 3 children seeking help from missionaries in 1899. Her husband was killed in the aftermath of the Armenian Massacres of 1894-1896
It was an American Jew who first made the world aware of what happened.

Back in 1915, Henry Morgenthau was the U.S. Ambassador to the Ottoman Empire, and on his desk in Constantinople landed reports from American consuls in far-flung Turkish cities, documenting massacres and death marches.

Christian Armenians in the Ottoman Empire had long been second-class citizens, a persecuted minority. Now, as power in the land was seized by a junta of nationalist officers known as the Young Turks, persecution turned to unbridled savagery.

Unleashed on the Armenians, Turkish policemen and soldiers ransacked Christian churches and handed bishops and priests over to the mob.

Community leaders such as doctors and teachers were hanged in batches on gallows in town squares. An American missionary reported seeing men tied together with their heads sticking through the rungs of a ladder to be lopped off with swords.

Torture was commonplace, Morgenthau maintained as he studied the evidence. ‘They would pull out eyebrows and beards almost hair by hair, extract fingernails and toenails, apply red-hot irons and tear off flesh with pincers, then pour boiled butter into the wounds.’

Crucifixion was treated as a sport. ‘As the sufferer writhes in his agony, they would cry: “Now let your Christ come and help you”.’

When orders were given to assemble all the Armenians and march them out into the desert, Morgenthau had no doubt that this was ‘the death warrant to a whole race’. Moreover, he said: ‘In their conversations with me, the authorities made no particular attempt to conceal the fact’.

Update April 22:  It's official: President Obama will not recognize the Armenian Genocide, thus breaching another one of his pre-2008 election promises.  Partially explaining his silence is the close relationship between Obama and the Islamist Erdogan, who Obama reportedly called the Middle Eastern leader who he feels closest to.

US REFUSES TO ARM THE KURDS SO AS NOT TO ANTAGONIZE ANTI-AMERICAN TURKEY AND IRAN REGIMES - The White House willing to let Kurds be massacred by ISIS - Read outline of Kurdish history

America must arm the Kurds,
even if it antagonizes Iran and Turkey

By Dr. Robert Sklaroff and Dr. Sherkoh Abbas

Obama’s America is cow-towing to the whims of Iran and Turkey, rather than directly helping the Peshmerga in Kurdistan.  The desired boots-on-ground are directly underfoot, yet he refuses to acknowledge the urgent need to assist the Kurds; instead, he keeps “tripping” over their presence.

Obama’s apologists alternately say the situation is hyper-complex and freedom-seekers are ultimately doomed. To the contrary, the key-players reveal their motives through their actions (even if utterances are occasionally cryptic), and the pathway to a quality outcome is readily apparent, even if Obama would have to ‘fess-up regarding the existential threat of the global Islamist ideology.
Thick plumes of grey smoke rise from an ISIS position in eastern Kobane, after an airstrike by the U.S-led coalition
Sporadic US bombing has failed to stop ISIS

Because the goals of contiguous countries are averse to those beneficial to America, Kurds must urgently be empowered to champion Western Civilization’s value-system.

Iran wants to preserve the Assad government, and has avidly shored-up these state-terrorists with the loyal assistance of the Russians who covet the Tartus port.

Tehran wants to forge a Shi’ite pathway to the Mediterranean, and has enlisted support in this endeavor from a Baghdad government that has been set adrift by America’s unilateral retreat.

American policy is predicated on a double-blunder—“two sides of the same coin”— one component of which is widely-debated and the other component of which has remained shrouded.

KURDS IN KOBANE SURROUNDED BY ISIS - Thanks to Turkey's informal collaboration with ISIS and the US reluctance to give proper military aid to Kurds - The West, Turkey and the Arabs hoping for the defeat of the Kurds, even if it is through genocide

The West's abandonment of the Kobane and the Kurds
The most recent assault began when a suicide bomber detonated his explosives while driving an armoured vehicle across the border, Kurdish officials have said. Above, the aftermath of a truck bomb in Kobane
Aftermath of suicide bombing attack in Kobane

  • It was no long ago when we saw the pictures of  the Turkish army and their tanks across the border with Syria and within view of Kobane, doing nothing but waiting for ISIS to massacre the Kurds.
  • Turkey has been accused of being a secret ally of ISIS.
  • Turkey, Syria, Iraq and Iran fear the 30 million Kurds because of their demands for an independent country.  The US has allied itself with those countries and their desire to keep the Kurds oppressed and under occupation.
  • The US - with the world's most powerful military - has engaged in only a mild and sporadic bombing of ISIS buildings and vehicles, in what is nothing but a show to pretend to be helping the Kurds, while denying the Kurds proper weapons to defend themselves.
  • If the Kurds are massacred, it will be the direct result of the US deliberate inaction to protect them.
  • An intensive US bombing campaign on ISIS in Kobane would have driven them back in a matter of hours.   But the US does not want to defeat ISIS or protect the Kurds.
  • The US government has also done nothing while Yazidis, Christians, and other minorities have been tortured, raped and massacred by ISIS - becoming de-facto indirect collaborationists with ISIS.
  • The US's government's hope is for ISIS to topple Assad in Syria - at any cost.  He is the last secular tyrant still holding on to power after the Arab Spring uprising.
  • The US government has favored the Muslim fundamentalist takeover of Middle East countries, while turning its back on long-time secular  allies of the US.
  • The US gave its full support to the Muslim Brotherhood rule after the toppling of Mubarak in Egypt, but has shunned the subsequent secular rule by general Al-Sisi.

    GERMAN CARTOON RAISES IRE OF TURKEY'S PRESIDENT ERDOGAN

    Erdogan cartoon by Greser und Lenz

    In the doghouse: Turkey hits out at German caricature

    DW - Turkey has summoned Germany's ambassador to the capital of Ankara over a disputed cartoon, which they claim depicts Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan as a snarling dog. The drawing was first published in 2011.

    The German caricature, published some three years ago in the German newspaper "Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung," has come under fire from Turkey's foreign ministry.

    The cartoon titled "50 years of Turks in Germany - a success story" shows two German men in traditional Bavarian dress, smoking a shisha pipe and eating spicy food at a Turkish restaurant in the Alps. The Erdogan dog looks on menacingly.

    The teeth-baring watchdog, in the drawing by German cartoonists Achim Greser and Heribert Lenz, was previously only a minor character, but is now at the center of a diplomatic dispute. Sitting in his hut, emblazoned with the name Erdogan, the aggressive-looking pooch has a lot to answer for.

    ISIS JIHADIS TERRIFIED OF KURDISH WOMEN WARRIORS - Muslims don't go to heaven if killed by a woman

    Iraqi soldiers run, Americans drop a few bombs, Turks watch, but the Kurds - including girls and women - continue to fight.

    Daily Mail exclusive: women warriors terrifying the jihadis who believe if they're killed by a female they won't go to heaven.

  • Army of women in desperate battle to defend Kobane from Islamic State
  • Nesrin Abdi carries rifle in case she is captured and needs to shoot herself
  • The medical student is a part of an all female wing of the Kurdish army
  • Says ISIS militants are terrified of being killed by a woman and fear they won't go to heaven
  • Dispatch from Turkey/Syria border by Daily Mail's Sam Greenhill with photographs by Jamie Wiseman

  • You wouldn’t know it from her sweet smile, but the reason why Nesrin Abdi carries a rifle is in case she needs to shoot herself dead.

    This, she explained matter-of-factly, would be preferable to being captured by the monsters of Islamic State.

    Courage: Fighter Nesrin Abdi pictured with her comrades on the battlefield in Kobane
    Fighter Nesrin Abdi in Kobane
    Nesrin, a 20-year-old medical student, is by all accounts a happy, well-educated, middle-class young woman with an infectious joy for life.

    In her home town of Kobane on the Syria-Turkey border, moments of joy are rare, but a photograph captures the triumphant moment three days ago when she was among Kurdish fighters who recaptured a strategic hill from the Islamic State invaders.

    The jihadis’ sinister black flag was torn down and replaced with a fluttering Kurdish red-and-yellow banner, marking what may well prove a symbolic turning point in the life-and-death struggle for the besieged town.

    But Nesrin, a doctor’s daughter who has joined an army of women battling to defend Kobane, is aware that every day could be her last.

    She told me: ‘Everyone knows what happens if IS catches you. For a woman it is rape, followed by beheading. We have all seen the videos of the American and British hostages beheaded in the desert. They will treat us the same.'

    THE ALLEGED SECRET DEAL BETWEEN THE US AND MUSLIM COUNTRIES FOR THE MASSACRE OF THOUSANDS OF KURDS AT THE HANDS OF ISIS

    By F. Michael Maloof for WND

    WASHINGTON, D.C. – A secret decision apparently has been made by the United States, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and even Iran to let the strategic Syrian Kurdish town of Kobane on the Turkish-Syrian border fall to ISIS fighters, jeopardizing the lives of some 160,000 Syrian Kurds, WND has been told by a well-placed Middle East expert.

    In letting Kobani fall to ISIS, the source said, there was agreement “to deal with ISIS later.”

    Kurdish forces defending Kobani urged a U.S.-led coalition to escalate air strikes on Islamic State fighters who tightened their grip on the Syrian town at the border with Turkeyon Saturday
    The apparent decision aims to diminish the influence of the Kurds in Syria and weaken the prospect of creating a sovereign Kurdistan, which is sought by the Kurds not only in Syria, but in Turkey, Iran and Iraq.

    “It is a real set up behind the backs of everyone,” the well-placed source told WND.

    Ankara has brought its tanks up to the Turkish-Syrian border in sight of Kobane but has not committed any troops to stop the ISIS siege of the Kurdish city.

    Photo -  US bombing of ISIS-controlled areas in Kobane:  Insufficient, inefficient, and just for show.

    Meanwhile, the Syrian Kurds have been appealing for arms and ammunition in addition to aerial bombing by the U.S.-led coalition of Arab countries on ISIS positions. Sources on the ground, however, say the bombing has become virtually meaningless, since ISIS fighters have blended into the population, requiring more fighters on the ground.

    The Syrian Kurds have been fighting ISIS just as their counterparts in Iraq, the Kurdish peshmerga, have been doing to keep ISIS from taking over their territory, which comprises some of the largest oil reserves in Iraq and Syria.

    The Turks have resisted assisting the Kurds since Ankara for years has been battling the Kurdish Workers Party, or PKK, which seeks to carve out a portion of the border countries to create Kurdistan.

    For Turkey, the Syrian and Turkish Kurds occupy valuable oil resources sought by the energy-deficient Turks.

    In addition, the Kurds have an alliance with the Syrian government of President Bashar al-Assad, whom the Turks want to see overthrown in favor of a Sunni-run government.

    However, ISIS clearly is the only predominant Sunni group in a position to take over, since it already has grabbed much of northeastern Syria and western and central Iraq to form its caliphate, which it seeks to govern under strict Islamic law, or Shariah.

    For Turkey, an ISIS takeover of Kobane would help split up the Iraqi Kurds from the Syrian Kurds, further diminishing the chance for a united Kurdistan.

    At the same time, it would give ISIS a northern bridge between Iraq and Syria, which it hasn’t had until now.

    Consequently, not only will the Turks refuse to commit combat troops, so will the U.S.

    Because of the Kurds’ ties not only with Syrian President Assad but also with Iran, sources say the U.S. doesn’t want to leave the impression it is bolstering Assad and working with Iran by providing further assistance to the Syrian Kurds beyond aerial bombings.

    There are questions concerning the extent to which the Iranians went along with the secret deal to let Kobane fall to ISIS.

    As WND reported, there have been calls in recent days within Iran for the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps to assist the Syrian Kurds, prompting demonstrations of support in a number of Iranian cities.

    As a signal of Iran’s concern, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Marzieh Afkham warned of a humanitarian catastrophe in Kobane.  “Iran will soon send humanitarian aid for the residents and refugees in this area through the Syrian government,” Afkham said.  Shiite Iran is a major supporter of the government of Assad, a Shiite-Alawite.

    Iran’s deputy foreign minister for Arab and African affairs, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, has made it clear that Iran doesn’t want Turkish troops inside Syria. Iran now is in discussions with Turkey to return some 200,000 Kurds who have fled Syria for refuge in Turkey.

    At the same time, Amir-Abdollahian made clear Iran “will take any necessary action to help the Kurds in Kobani in line with its support for the Syrian government in its fight against terrorism.”

    The WND source said Iran’s interest in wanting to help the Kurds is “just a front,” since Iran, like Turkey, has opposed an independent Kurdistan carved out of western Iran, which, like the Kurdish portions of Turkey, Iraq and Syria, have rich oil deposits.

    Although Tehran wants to show support for the Kurds because of their backing of Assad, it nonetheless may be more concerned about the repeated historical efforts by the Kurds to establish their own Kurdish state. There are strong ethnic, linguistic and cultural ties between the Kurds and Iran. However, Tehran doesn’t want to see the Kurds taking over its western oil reserves.

    Turkey providing intelligence and logistic support to ISIS

    NATO member Turkey is providing direct intelligence and logistical support to the ISIS terrorist organization, according to a senior Egyptian security official speaking to WND.

    The official said Egypt has information Turkish intelligence is passing to ISIS satellite imagery and other data, with particular emphasis on exposing to ISIS jihadists the positions of Kurdish fighters and the storage locations of their weapons and munitions.  The official confirmed reports that Turkey released ISIS terrorists from jail in a sweeping deal with the jihadist organization that saw the release of 49 hostages from the Turkish embassy in Mosul who were being held by ISIS.

    THE MORAL BANKRUPTCY AND HYPOCRISY OF THE WEST AND MUSLIM COUNTRIES. - Quick to gang up against Israel, they are now willing to allow the massacre of thousands of Kurds while the US conducts its fake war against ISIS.

    With its near complete takeover of Kabane, on the border with Turkey, ISIS is now technically within sight of Europe.   (A small part of Turkey is located within the European continent, so Turkey is considered to be part of Europe.)

    While the White House, the media, the UN, Europe and Muslim governments clamored against Israel's operation against jihadis in Gaza this summer, ISIS was on a rampage killing Christians and other minorities by the thousands.   Nobody cared.  The world did not want to miss an opportunity to portray the Palestinians as Israel's victims.

    The world's pathological obsession with Israel blinds governments and humanitarian organizations to the carnage and brutality happening not only in areas dominated by ISIS, but all over the world.

    Hardly anyone mentions, for example, that Saudi Arabia (a country regarded as "moderate" by the United States) routinely decapitates those it deems to have broken Sharia Law.    In the month of August alone the Saudis decapitated 19 victims.  Decapitations usually take place at Riyadh's Justice Square, for citizens of all ages to watch.

    The Saudis have one of the highest execution rates in the world - about 100 a year - with a population of less than 30 million people.   Other legal punishments include cutting off of limbs, and other barbaric atrocities.  All this done according to the law in a "moderate" Muslim country which is a close ally of the United States.
    ISIS militants (Rear) stand next to an ISIS flag atop a hill in the Syrian town of Kobane , as seen from the Turkish-Syrian border, as Turkish troops stand in the foregroundTurkey, a member of NATO, has accused Israel of genocide.

    As part of its aggressive pro-Palestinian campaign, Turkey has been repeatedly involved in launching flotillas  aimed at breaking the blockade of Gaza.  Their crews routinely include common terrorists.

    Today, the apparently "humanitarian" Turkish government has tanks sitting within sight of the Syrian town of Kobane, where Kurds are desperately fighting trying to prevent a massacre.

    Photo:  ISIS militants (rear) stand next to an ISIS flag atop a hill in the Syrian town of Kobane , as seen from the Turkish-Syrian border, as Turkish troops stand in the foreground.  They are ready to witness a massacre of thousands of Kurds.  (AFP)

    The Turkish government has denied Kurds weapons to defend themselves, and has done everything possible to prevent Kurds living in Turkey from crossing the border to fight against ISIS.

    Turkey, so 'compassionate' for the Palestinians and so vociferous in its call for a Palestinian state, does not want the Kurds to be better armed out of fear they may use them one day in their quest for a state of their own.

    So now Turkey is becoming complicit with ISIS ethnic cleansing of Kurds.

    And the US and Britain are just as guilty of complicity, as they carry out ineffective and mostly symbolic bombings on ISIS empty buildings and vehicles.

    Turkey - along with the US and other Western countries - would much prefer to see the Kurds massacred than give them weapons to defend themselves.

    While they demand Israel's partition for a Palestinian state, The US, the EU, the UN and Muslim countries deny 30 million Kurds the right to their own country.

    The White House recently dismissed the city of Kobane to ISIS as not strategically important enough to save.  Never mind the imminent massacre of Kurds.

    Add this to previous massacres of Kurds, Yazidis, and Christians.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Death toll of Palestinians in Syria is now 2512
    Does anyone care, if they can't blame Israel?
    The Action Group for Palestinians in Syria say that the number of Palestinians killed in Syria so far is 2512.
    A
    mortar shell today on a major street in Yarmouk stopped the distribution by UNRWA of food for the besieged group. It is unclear who fired the shell, the Palestinian PFLP-GC group is fighting on the same side as the Syrian regime in the area of the camp.
    Another pro-Syrian Army Palestinian group fighting in the cap is called the
    Al Quds Brigades.
    The media seems strangely uninterested in the plight of Palestinians in Syria.
    The group also quoted a source as saying that
    4,223 Palestinians had managed to be smuggled to Italy in recent months, mostly from Syria and Egypt but also some from Gaza.
    THE WEST'S FAKE WAR ON ISIS - KERRY SAYS CITY OF KOBANI NOT A US STRATEGIC OBJECTIVE, while Kurdish families wait to be massacred - The hidden usefulness of ISIS (it kills Kurds who want independence, and may help topple White House's arch-enemy Assad).
    • US Secretary of State Kerry:  Kobani not strategically important.
    • Kobani Kurds fight against ISIS, but may be ultimately massacred.
    • While the West does nothing.
    • White House denies weapons to Kurds.
    • White House sells $11 billion worth of weapons to Qatar, which finances terrorists
    • The fake US-UK war against ISIS.
    • Symbolic US bombings on ISIS trucks and empty buildings.
    • ISIS serves to ethnic cleanse the Kurds, who want independence
    • ISIS serves to weaken Syria's Assad. His departure would clear the way for Islamic rule.
    • Turkey, ISIS' hidden ally?
    We grew up reading about the horrors of the Holocaust.  How was it allowed to happen, we asked?  It took years for the Nazis to murder 6 million Jews.  It was not a secret.  And yet, nothing was done.
    And even as the Allies bombed German cities and other targets, they deliberately ignored pleas to bomb the death camps infrastructure and railroad system leading to them, leaving them intact until the end.
    Historians have quoted Allied leaders admitting that they did not want too many Jews to survive because they would become a burden in the aftermath of the conflict.
    In the years following the Second World War we have witnessed several instances of genocide - and have done nothing.
    Young people watching the news today are witnesses to another genocide, the one perpetrated by the Muslim group ISIS.   Yazidis, Christians and Kurds have already been massacred, with many women being raped and enslaved.
       If your teenager asks you why America, with the most powerful military in the world, is practicing "symbolic bombing" - hitting ISIS empty buildings and the occasional truck - while allowing ISIS to continue to advance with its genocidal campaign, how will you answer him?
    MORE SIGNS THAT TURKEY MAY BE SECRETLY SUPPORTING ISIS - it is preventing Kurdish men in Turkey from crossing the border into Syria to fight ISIS - While it deploys tanks to prevent Kurdish women and children fleeing ISIS from seeking refugee in Turkey
    UPDATE
    Violence erupts on Turkey-Syria border as Kurds on both sides tear down fences to let refugees flee and fighters cross to take on ISIS.
    Breaking down barriers: Kurds from Turkey (left) and Syria pull down border fences near the Turkish town of Suruc to allow them to join an alliance to fight Islamic State
    Hundreds of Turkish and Syrian Kurds tore down border fences and clashed with riot police in a show of solidarity in the fight against ISIS as the terror group tightened its siege on a strategic town.
    Unarmed protesters who had gathered on the Turkish side of the border in support of Syrian Kurds rushed towards Kobani in an apparent bid to defend it from the Sunni militants.
    The group, including pro-Kurdish politicians from Turkey, later gathered on a railway line on the Syrian side of the border, clashing with Turkish security forces who fired tear gas and were initially reluctant to let them back in.
    It came as Islamic State fighters moved closer to Kobani after pushing back Kurdish forces and sending shells into Turkish territory, witnesses said.
    U.S.-led air strikes have targeted Islamic State fighters elsewhere in Syria but some Kurdish military officials have said they made the situation in Kobani more precarious by pushing the Sunni insurgents towards the Turkish border.
    The Sunni Muslim insurgents, who launched their assault on Kobani more than a week ago, besieging it from three sides, took control of high ground to the west of the town and a village to the east in fierce fighting.
    The latest statement from the PKK leadership in the Qandil mountains of northern Iraq ratcheted up its already fierce criticism of the Turkish government, accusing it of a 'declaration of war' on the Kurdish people.
    'There is a big explosion of anger and rebellion against Turkey among all Kurdistan's people,' it said in a statement. 'Getting ISIL to attack a small autonomous region like Kobani which only has a frontier into Turkey was the final straw.'
    Kurds suspect Turkey of backing Islamic State (ISIS)
