Jordan certainly knows about symbolic gestures.

The official White House photo below shows the US president with his feet on his desk and the sole of his shoes towards the camera - and in a symbolic way also towards the Israeli PM. 

 

Showing the soles of your shoes to another person is a very serious insult in the Middle East.

This insult was well understood by both Muslims and Israelis.

Having been raised in Muslim countries, the president may have been well aware of the significance of this insulting gesture.

ONE WEEK AFTER RUSSIA TAKES OVER CRIMEA, THE WHITE HOUSE IMPOSES TRAVEL VISA RESTRICTIONS ON ISRAELIS

 

BREIBART - At the same time the US State Department is relaxing entry requirements to visa applicants with Islamist terrorist connections, and reassuring President Putin of Russia that any sanctions against travel to the US placed upon those responsible for Russia's invasion Ukraine will be limited to no more than a "few dozen" named individuals, it is dramatically increasing its rejection rate of Israelis seeking visas to visit the US.  

 While the State Department denies it, Israeli officials now suspect  their country is being deliberately sanctioned as part of an unannounced administration policy to punish the Jewish state.

This week their fears were publicly shared by none other than administration ally NY Senator Charles Schumer, who, in a letter to Secretary of State John Kerry,  demanded an end to the “State Department policy of categorically denying young Israelis tourist visas that makes it nearly impossible for any young Israeli to visit the U.S.” 

The harsh and unexplained crackdown against Israeli tourists, first felt in 2009 has been tightening ever since, particularly, say those familiar with the matter, within the last year.

When first imposed, the travel bans were extended to all young Israelis seeking to visit the US after completing their compulsory military service. Israeli reports examining such records show that, starting in 2012, rejections of Israeli visa requests were applied preemptively and categorically to all Israeli nationals of student age. 

 

The State Department confirms there has been a 400% increase in the visa refusal rate for Israeli citizens since 2007, when only 2.5% of all Israeli visa requests were denied, as compared to 2013 when 9.7% were.

In fact, rejection rates for Israeli visa applicants were so high in 2013, that Israel was expelled from the State Department’s visa waiver program. Some of the countries whose citizens are eligible to participate the US visa waiver program, in addition to traditional and treaty allies like Canada and the UK, include Saudi Arabia and Qatar.

Peak in US Rejection of Israeli Visa Requests

80% rise in visa rejections in part of growing trend that Foreign Ministry criticizes as being 'political.'

 

US State Department figures from 2013 reveal a sharp 80% rise over the course of the year in Israeli visa requests that were rejected, continuing a trend of Israeli visa rejections over several years.
 

The figures, which were published Monday morning in Yediot Aharonot, show that last year about 125,000 Israelis requested tourist visas to the US, with 9.7% of them being refused. The previous year in 2012, that figure was at 5.4%.

 

The percentage of rejected requests has risen dramatically in the past years. As recently as 2007, a mere 2.5% of the requests were denied.

 

Due to the recent upsurge in visa request rejections, Israel has lost its place on the "white list," the list of countries whose citizens can visit the US without a visa. Only nations with a visa rejection rate of less than 3% are allowed on the list.

 

Sources in the Israeli Foreign Ministry's consular branch claim the increase in rejections stems from political motives and is unwarranted. They add that the rejections were meant to remove Israel from the "white list."

 

"We meet all the requirements to receive an exemption (from visas), aside from the rate of rejections," noted an official in the Foreign Ministry, who criticized the move as "political."

 

As Israeli ties with the US have become tense, with America has exerted pressure and boycott threats on Israel in the frame of peace talks with the Palestinian Authority (PA), Israeli connections with China have been growing stronger, including mutual tourism agreements between the two nations.

White House eases restrictions for
 requests for asylum by Muslims terrorists

Last month, this administration took an action making it easier for supporters of Islamist terrorists to be granted asylum in this country.

At the same time, persecuted Christians face a brick wall at the Obama State Department in their efforts to secure refugee status, and a report this week reveals Israeli officials are now finding it more difficult to get simple visitor visas or to even renew existing visas. Why is all of this suddenly emerging?

 

After the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, none of us ever imagined a dozen years later we’d be negotiating with the Taliban in Afghanistan, supplying aid to al Qaeda-affiliated “rebel” groups in Syria, and releasing from Gitmo some of the most hardened al Qaeda operatives. Under the Obama administration, that’s exactly what we’re doing.

 

Now we can add another bizarre, and potentially dangerous, unilateral decree from the administration: Mr. Obama has ordered a change in immigration rules making it easier for so-called “minor” terrorists to gain refugee status and asylum in the United States.

Additionally, Israelis who work in their country’s defense industry are being denied visas to enter the United States. According to one government official quoted in coverage by Ha’aretz, Israel’s oldest daily newspaper, “everything has changed” in the last year, with “hundreds of Israeli individuals with ties to Israel’s defense establishment” being denied entry to the United States.

In other words, the Obama administration is making it easier for Muslims with terrorist associations to enter the country, while making it more difficult for persecuted Christians and Israeli Jews.

In related news, a Christian German family, the Romeikes, who gained asylum in the United States after escaping a draconian Nazi-era anti-home-schooling German law, had become targets for deportation by the Obama Department of Justice.

In 2010, the Romeikes were granted asylum on religious freedom grounds, but for some reason, the Obama administration felt the need to appeal that decision, and its Department of Justice won.

The regime fought tooth and nail for this victory and that would result in deportation.  Just this week, however, after the Supreme Court refused to hear the family’s appeal, the Justice Department did an abrupt about-face, and almost immediately granted the family “indefinite deferred status.”

The US administration has unilaterally eased restrictions on asylum seekers with loose or incidental ties to terror and insurgent groups, in a move one senator called "deeply alarming." The change, approved by Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson and Secretary of State John Kerry, was announced Wednesday in the Federal Register. It would allow some individuals who provided "limited material support" to terror groups to be considered for entry into the U.S.   Supporters of the change, including Sen. Patrick Leahy, D-Vt., argued that the current ban on anyone who has ever aided terrorists has unfairly blocked thousands of refugees.

The United States government has been helpless to stop the carnage in Syria.

 

The United States government has become an enabler of Iran by submitting to a deal that significantly reduces economic sanctions, while allowing them to continue enriching uranium leading to a nuclear arsenal and a nuclear arms race in the Middle East.  The same Iran that every few days threatens Israel with annihilation.

EGYPT ARRESTS U.S. EMBASSY EMPLOYEE WHO WAS IN CONTACT WITH MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD

 

CAIRO: National Security arrested a local employee on Jan. 25 who works for the U.S. embassy in Cairo, the embassy confirmed Tuesday.

 

“We confirm that one of our local employees was arrested on Jan. 25. According to our information, there are no charges against him so far,” said Mofid al-Deek, Media Attaché and the spokesperson of the U.S. embassy in Cairo.

 

Deek said the embassy is communicating with the Egyptian government to understand the reason for the employee’s detention.

 

A security source reported National Security arrested Ahmed A., a U.S embassy employee in charge of the political Islam file. The source added that the employee was in constant contact with Khairat el-Shater, First Deputy of the General Guide of the Muslim Brotherhood, when the group ruled the country.

 

The suspect was arrested while participating with others in marches and riots in Giza Governorate. He is being investigated by the National Security Agency to determine the dimensions of his activity.

U.S. SECRETARY KERRY UNWITTING DISCLOSURE OF ONE FACTOR BEHIND THE BULLYING OF ISRAEL

 

WHAT EMBOLDENS THE WORLD TO BULLY ISRAEL

NOBODY IS AFRAID TO OFFEND THEM OR TO THREATEN THEM.

With Israelis having had enough of the Mr Kerry's disrespectful and threatening behavior, voices - some from within the Israeli government itself -  started to openly express their disgust. 

 

The U.S. government reacted in the only way it knows in how to relate to Israel:  with arrogant indignation, saying that Israel's discontent with Secretary Kerry was "unacceptable".

 

Later Secretary Kerry made this revealing statement:

 

"And, you know, words — I have to tell you, my friend, I’ve been, quote, attacked before by people using real bullets, not words, and I am not going to be intimidated. I am not going to stand down with respect to President Obama’s commitment to trying to find peace in the Middle East."

What Secretary Kerry - or his subconscious - may have been really thinking could be this:

 

I bully Israel because I can.  Because you are nice, civilized people and would not even think of shooting at me.  But I don't bully the Palestinian Authority or any Muslim government because those guys don't take any nonsense from us.  They don't respond with just words.  They use real bullets and bombs, and I'm scared silly of offending their sensibilities.  So you, Israelis, can talk all you want.  I'm not intimidated by your words, and I will continue to push until you accept what I'm imposing on you -  like it or not.  And if you don't, I trust the Palestinians will unleash another wave of terror, and the rest of the world will strangle your economy with boycotts.

 

This later paragraph contains imaginary words, but it  reflects what emboldens the world to gang up on the Jews: they are an easy target.  There are no repercussions to their threats, attacks, lies and hateful language aimed at Jews.  There's nothing to fear, and it makes them feel so good to bully and demonize the Jews. 

 

What the "human rights" activists, churches,  United Nations representatives, politicians, entertainers, the European Union, and a very long list of enthusiastic participants in the war against the Jews have in common - aside from their hatred of Israel and the Jews - is a pathological fear of offending Islam. 

 

They go to all kinds of extremes to prove that they would never, ever, dare to criticize and offend Muslims or Islam.   Because they know what would happen to them if they did.  Several European journalists and cartoonists are in hiding because of daring to offend Islam.

 

Jews, on the other hand, are a soft target.  Lashing out against the Israeli "occupation" is like a badge of honor, an entry ticket into the anti-establishment brotherhood. In their view it defines you as tolerant, non-racist, multicultural, compassionate, supporter of the oppressed, and a member in good standing of the right crowd.

 

Never mind that the worst violators of human rights and the most oppressive countries these days are those in Asia and Africa - particularly in the Middle East.

 

And never mind that Islam itself is a colonial movement that has occupied lands in Africa, Asia, the whole Middle East, parts of Europe - and Jewish Israel.  All from their original colonial starting point:  The Arabian peninsula.

Kerry's insolence was underscored by the irony that he issued his cynical warning to the Jewish state from German soil  – more specifically from Munich - where appeasement-minded democracies once signed a perfidious “peace agreement” that in no time plunged the world into its blackest nightmare

 

The alternative to getting back to the talks is the potential of chaos,” Kerry threatened three months ago. “I mean does Israel want a third Intifada?” He added overbearingly:  “I’ve got news for you. Today’s status quo will not be tomorrow’s… Israel’s neighbors” will “begin to push in a different way.”

 

Bottom line, if Israel doesn’t tamely toe the Obama-Kerry line, it will deserve whatever punishment is meted out to it – either via the ostracism of the otherwise loving family of nations or via more carnage in a new terror campaign, which has been a priori justified by the American president and his secretary of state.

U.S. STATE DEPARTMENT SAYS IT'S "UNACCEPTABLE" FOR ISRAEL TO DARE TO CRITICIZE STATE SECRETARY KERRY

Talk about blaming the victim.  U.S. government expectations are for Israelis to cheerfully submit to American dictates and to feel grateful for the demeaning treatment by the US government.

All in the name of "peace," while threatening Jews with more Arab violence and international boycotts if they don't comply with U.S. government designs.

Israelis are expected to willingly submit to the partition of their country and to the handing over of ancient Jerusalem to those from Arabian peninsula who invaded and occupied their country centuries ago.

Palestinian Authority leaders have said again and again that achieving Israel's partition is only another stage in their long-term goal of destroying Israel.  Taking over ancient Jerusalem and forcing Israel into borders that leave the country only nine miles wide at some points is good strategy for those who resort to terror to achieve their goals.  Partition and the creation of an Islamic state of Palestine would soften up the victim - Israel - for the final blow. 

 

The envisioned Palestinian state won't even give citizenship to Arabs living in refugee camps.

So if it's not about peace, and it's not about solving the Arab refugee problem, what is the United States pursuing Palestinian statehood?  The US government says it's trying to help Israel achieve "peace" with the Arabs, but that is only an empty word.  Palestinian TV is full of official statements calling for the murder of Jews and the obliteration of the state of Israel.  Their language would make a Third Reich Nazis blush in embarrassment.  So far the United States is silent.

It's not about peace and it's not about land either.

Israel unwisely withdrew from Gaza in 2005.  What it got in return has been thousands of rockets aimed at their population, and a steady campaign of demonization of Israel.  Now the United States is bullying Israel into accepting another partition which will leave all its population, north to south, vulnerable to snipers, rocket attacks, tunnels for infiltration, and more. 

 

The United States government knows all this.  It watches at Muslims killing each other in the Middle East, and at governments that oppress minorities and women, but it's barrelling ahead forcing Israel's partition anyway for the creation of another Muslim state.  Secretary of State bluntly told concerned Israeli generals to stop being so concerned about Israel's security.

WHAT IS NOT BEING SAID BY EITHER THE ISRAELI OR INTERNATIONAL MEDIA

The government of Israel is offering something to the Arabs for which there is no national support.  Netanyahu's government itself is being criticized from outside and from inside his coalition, for his overly generous land offers to the Palestinians in exchange for practically nothing. 

 

Why is this former hawk acting like a liberal?  We don't know.  PM Netanyahu says that all he asks for is "recognition" of Israel as a Jewish state.  But why would the Jewish civilization that is thousands of years old require "recognition" from the Palestinian Authority - with it track record of corruption, terror and glorification of terror?

 

AND THE STILL UNANSWERED QUESTION:

 

How can the survivors of the Holocaust partition their country for the creation of a state that glorifies Nazism and terror?  The historical record is there, for all to see.

Back to today's news reports, here is the US State Department blaming the victim for daring to express criticism of Mr Kerry's bullying of Israel.

The State Department once again took Israel to task on Wednesday for criticizing Secretary of State John Kerry’s efforts to achieve peace.  State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki told reporters that criticism of Kerry over his threats of a boycott of Israel if peace talks fail were meant to distract attention from progress in the peace process.

“Peace isn’t a favor we’re doing for the Israelis and Palestinians, it’s something that the Israeli people and the Palestinian people want,” she continued.

Psaki also commented on the series of videos that have been prepared by nationalist activists who are opposed to Kerry’s pressure on Israel to concede lands in order to achieve peace.  The videos, entitled “John Kerry Solutions”, feature a salesman modeled on Kerry who is hell-bent on offering his customers solutions that only make their problems worse.  The United States, said Psaki, supports freedom of speech, but the content of the videos are “rhetoric” that “we find unacceptable.”

Kerry said Wednesday that he was unfazed by criticism in Israel over his peace efforts, saying that he was “threatened by real bullets” so words do not intimidate him.

 

In an interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper, Kerry was asked to respond to the Israeli ministers who criticized him earlier in the week after he threatened Israel with boycotts if peace talks with the Palestinian Authority (PA) fail.

 

Several Israeli cabinet ministers responded to Kerry’s threats, including Jewish Home chairman Naftali Bennett, who made clear that “a country has yet to be born that will give up its land because of economic threats, and we won't either. Only security will bring financial stability, not a terror state next to the Ben Gurion Airport."

 

Deputy Defense Minister Danny Danon shot down the idea that Israel might buckle under the pressure being exerted by Kerry.  “We want to negotiate,” he explained, “but we will not do it under the pressure coming from Secretary of State Kerry.”

 

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu responded to Kerry’s threat and said, "Attempts to impose a boycott on the State of Israel are immoral and unjust.” Later, however, he instructed his ministers not to attack Kerry personally.

After failing to extract a written promise of concessions on settlements, Obama walked out of his meeting with Netanyahu but invited him to stay at the White House, consult with advisers and “let me know if there is anything new”, a U.S. congressman, who spoke to the Prime Minister, said.  “It was awful,” the congressman said.

One Israeli newspaper called the meeting “a hazing in stages”, poisoned by such mistrust that the Israeli delegation eventually left rather than risk being eavesdropped on a White House telephone line. Another said that the Prime Minister had received “the treatment reserved for the President of Equatorial Guinea”.

IN GANGSTER-LIKE FASHION, THE US GOVERNMENT IS SELLING "PROTECTION" TO ISRAEL AT A HIGH COST

 

And the cost of US protection is nothing less than complete subjugation by Israel to the US plan for the partition of the land, which would set up the conditions for its eventual dismantlement.  Mr Kerry even demands handing over ancient Jewish Jerusalem to the Arabs.

Israelis are aghast at another indirect threat by the US government in its bullying campaign to force them to accept a deal US Secretary Kerry thinks Israelis can't refuse.

 

THE ONLY self-respecting reaction to USA and EU bullying would be for Israelis to assert their right to the land based on international law - and to terminate the humiliating Partition Talks being pushed by foreign governments keen on destroying Israel in stages. 

 

But to do that Israelis would need a government with integrity and independence.  Unfortunately that is not the case.  Top officials and parliamentarians keep playing undignified political games with the safety and the future of Israel.

Iran to Develop New Nuclear Centrifuges

After Signing Nuke Agreement Last Month

The Iranian Nuclear Program Grew by 74% - or another 14,000 centrifuges during this administration.

From 163 centrifuges in 2003, to 3000 in 2007, to 19,000 in 2013.
 
In November the U.S. president announced a nuclear deal with Iran.

Today the Iranian regime announced they were developing new centrifuges for their nuclear program.


WTVQ reported:

Iran’s nuclear chief said Friday that the country is building a new generation of centrifuges for uranium enrichment, but that they need further tests before they can become operational. 

 

Under a landmark nuclear deal reached last month between Iran and world powers, Iran promised not to bring new centrifuges into operation for six months. But the deal does not stop it from developing centrifuges.

 

In comments reported by state TV late Thursday, nuclear chief Ali Akbar Salehi did not elaborate on how long the building and testing would take.   He also said Iran has a total of 19,000 centrifuges, though he did not say how many were operational.  In August, Iran said it had 18,000 centrifuges.
