While the world was so busy condemning Israel, nuclear North Korea happened

Between North Korea and South Korea, that IS a two-state solution, and how is that working out?    Trump’s predecessors and the UN did not do much to stop North Korea. They were busy condemning Israel as the danger to world peace.  All along the real hotspot was in and around North Korea…or the 38th Parallel. But the world chose Israel as its focus because that’s where the Jews live. 

No Jews in North Korea, figured the nations, so let Kim Jong-un play with his toys; those nuclear-tipped missiles. We’ll worry about it another day.   But for Israel, it’s every day, or nearly so, that the UN finds some reason to condemn and obsesses over…and the price could be deadly.

That’s our champion at the UN, Nikki Haley, who says so, and she has warned that the obsession against Israel distracts from the real dangers coming from Hezbollah, Iran – and North Korea. Attention must be paid to tinhorn tyrants and madmen like Kim.    A day of reckoning is sure to arrive – and so it has. 

Israel is that tiny country in red.  Those in green are all Muslim nations, forced to convert after Arab invasions and occupation starting in the 7th century. And now the world wants to partition Israel, which has been Jewish for thousands of years, to create yet another Muslim Arab terror state. (Blogger) 

The Arab-Israel conflict has always been a sideshow. It got placed center stage because the Israelis were always willing to talk, concede and make deals for the sake of peace (though it never seems to be enough). No talks, no concessions, no deals, no peace from North Korea. 

We woke up one morning, just a few days ago in fact, to find that North Korea poses a real and present danger. Kim wants war. 

Talk about obsessive…

The NY Times takes pleasure at featuring Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as a “parasitic thug,” yes, another day at “the paper of record.”    Or more “news” like that “fit to print.”   Kim is the nightmare. But don’t tell the Times.

Plus twice a year, France invites the leaders of the world to join in a summit to solve what it perceives to be the world’s greatest crisis.

North Korea? No. Israel. That’s where everybody has an answer…and a peace process…and a two-state solution.

Between North Korea and South Korea, that IS a two-state solution, and how is that working out?

Lately not so good. Kim wants to play. He is ready to use his toys against the United States. He has already pinpointed Guam. He threatens to bomb it days from now.     President Trump does not like the game but GAME ON if that’s the deal.

Was Trump correct to go rhetorically “fire and fury” against Kim? Absolutely. “In a place where there are no men, be a man,” goes the wisdom.   Trump chooses to be a man. 

As did Israel back on June 7, 1981, when the IDF said hello Saddam Hussein, goodbye Iraq’s nuclear facilities at Osirak.  (Israel bombed Iraq's incipient nuclear reactor, to the outrage of the USA and the rest of the world. Blogger.)

The entire world hollered at the Jewish State for taking such preemptive action, but later thanked Israel for stopping yet another rogue regime from developing nukes.    Chutzpah like that would have been useful at some point against Kim and the nuts that preceded him.

Trump’s predecessors did not do much (certainly not enough) to stop North Korea. Therefore Trump is left with few choices. 
So he spoke his mind. He did not mince words when he warned Kim that Kim’s next move could be his last.

Leftists here in the US, and from around the world have been quick to censure and even ridicule Trump for speaking up with such boldness. 

They are the same people who are always wrong about everything.

UNRWA doesn't want Syrian Palestinians to be resettled. But it does want more money to keep them stateless. (update)

UNRWA has never done a poll or survey of the "refugees" under its mandate. But since the 1950s, it has claimed with great certainty that Palestinian refugees later, "refugees" had no desire to become citizens of other countries but would rather wait forever for a "political solution" which would mean that they all move to where Israel is now.

 

The reality is that stateless Palestinians would much prefer to become full citizens anywhere than remain in limbo forever. Their actions when such a possibility emerges proves this to be the case.

 

Yet UNRWA has always pushed the lie of how Palestinians do not want to become citizens of any state except Israel, which cruelly enforces the policies of every other state on earth to determine who is allowed to immigrate. 

 

 The Globe and Mail (Canada) writes about the situation of Syrian refugees whose ancestors once lived in British Mandate Palestine and shows that UNRWA continues to tell Palestinians under their mandate that they prefer cash to perpetuate the problem to a permanent solution:

 

None of the war-weary Palestinians are likely to come to Canada under the Liberal government’s program to resettle 25,000 Syrian refugees. Canada is relying on the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees – which doesn’t deal with Palestinians – to help identify those most eligible for resettlement. UNRWA has no role in the program.

 

UNRWA spokesman Chris Gunness declined to comment on Canada’s resettlement program, but he said he hoped that Canada would resume the funding of the agency, which the previous Conservative government halted in 2012.  

Canada was long a leading donor to UNRWA – providing $32.4-million in assistance in 2007 and another $28-million in 2008 – but sharply reduced that aid over the next few years to $14.6-million in 2012, before making no contribution at all over the three years since (under the now defeated Conservative Party).

 

“Palestinians are finding it increasingly hard to sustain life for themselves and their children in the Middle East,” Mr. Gunness said in an e-mail interview. “It costs seven times more to deal with Palestinian refugees once they get to Europe and beyond than for UNRWA to deliver services to them in the region – which is where they would prefer to be. We are seeing a growing acceptance of this argument among our larger donors and we hope it resonates in Ottawa.”

Gunness is lying, and he knows it. Palestinians are no different from the other Syrian refugees, and they want to have the chance to live normal lives anywhere rather than remain stuck in the limbo that UNRWA and Arab leaders keep them in.  But notice how Gunness is using the idea that paying UNRWA will keep a small percentage of refugees from Syria out of Western countries as a means to scare Western governments into spending a much higher percentage of their aid funds on Palestinians than on the 90% of refugees who aren't.

And it is a lie, too. As the article mentions, Lebanon (and Jordan) have shut their doors to Syrian Palestinian refugees altogether. Lebanon does not allow anyone to build new houses in the camps. So UNRWA's aid is not helping any Palestinians outside of basic medical and social services. Of course many of them would still prefer to take their chances in Europe rather than live in Syria with UNRWA help.

While other refugee populations are being resettled, the Palestinian refugees keep growing, generation after generation. 

 

As you can see some populations suffer a spike, but then the number goes down.  Not the Palestinians, who keep growing due to the UN and those who fund UNRWA preventing them from resettling elsewhere.  They are being sacrificed and indoctrinated as a political tool against Israel. (blogger)

If UNRWA cared about Palestinians, it would welcome the possibility of Palestinians finally finding a home in Canada. It would be lobbying Gulf states to take them in.

 

But when Palestinians move out of Lebanon, Syria or Jordan, UNRWA loses a little bit of leverage to ask for funding. It prefers that they remain second-class citizens in areas of UNRWA's  mandate than to allow them the possibility of living happy lives outside.

 

Astounding comparison between UNHCR that cares for ALL world refugees (except Palestinians), and the corrupt UNRWA, that has the exclusive task of maintaining Palestinians in refugee camps indefinitely or until Israel is wiped off the map.

 

UPDATE: A relevant incident: 

The commitment of anti-Zionists to maintaining Palestinians as refugees was highlighted when Prime Minister Jean Chrétien in April 2000 and Foreign Affairs Minister John Manley in January 2001 offered to resettle Palestinian refugees in Canada. PLO spokesman Ahmed Abdel Rahman rejected the Prime Minister's offer.  

He said: "We reject any kind of settlement of refugees in Arab countries, or in Canada." Canadian FM Minister John Manley, in response to his offer, was burned in effigy near the West Bank city of Nablus. Hussum Khader, head of the largest Palestinian Fatah militia in Nablus, "If Canada is serious about resettlement you could expect military attacks in Ottawa or Montreal

United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon admitted that the UN is biased against Israel, UN Watch exposed Wednesday night, in never-before-seen footage of a 2013 session with students participating in Rishon Lezion College of Management’s Model UN program.

 

"There is some bias against Israel, [the] Israeli people, and government," Ban stated.  "Israel is a member of the United Nations," he qualified. "Thus, Israel must be respected equally with all other 192 member states. Israel is 193."

As were the lies they told without batting an eye to a friendly and respectful audience. U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has his hand out for an additional $20 billion this year, so let’s look at what American taxpayers are getting for their large chunk (one-quarter) of the U.N’s bills.

Xi Jinping, President of China, said “we must endeavor to meet” the goals of “democracy and freedom.” Meanwhile, he is an iron-fisted ruler of an undemocratic state where 1.3 billion people languish without civil and political rights.

 

Vladimir Putin, President of Russia, said that without the U.N. — “unique in its legitimacy” — “we would be left with no other rules than the rule of force.”

 

This from a megalomaniac who gobbled up Crimea and now occupies other parts of Eastern Ukraine by force.

Putin also said, “Everything that contravenes the U.N. Charter must be rejected.” Except apparently Chapter 1, article 1, which commits the organization to maintaining international peace and security and suppressing acts of aggression.

The following articles explore France's disturbing support for Palestinian terror and their financing of a pro-Hamas flotilla heading for Israel - contradicting its own situation of retreat against a wave of homebrewed Islamism and terror that has turned parts of France into no-go zones for French law enforcement.

Behind the French "Peace Initiative"

French president Hollande embraces his friend, Muslim terrorist Mahmoud Abbas at the I AM CHARLIE march in Paris held  in the aftermath of the massacre of Charlie Hebdo cartoonists  and in defiance of Muslim terror. 

Explanation:  Murdering Jews is not considered terror.  

 

Key points: 

• France's "peace initiative" will not promote peace between Israel and the Palestinians.  
• It is a desperate attempt by the French government to buy a few more days of quiet from its Muslim community, all waiting for the order to run riot through the streets of France.
• If it succeeds, it will lead to an ISIS and Hamas takeover of every inch of Palestinian soil from which Israel withdraws if coerced by the initiative.
• There is no logical reason to create another Muslim state while the Middle East disintegrates and goes up in flames due to Muslim-on-Muslim violence.
• The French initiative is not a benevolent gesture meant to help the Palestinians.    
• The Palestinian Authority survives only thanks to Israeli support.  Once that support is removed, jihadist violence and takeover is sure to ensue.
• European governments and the Vatican - in their openly anti-Israel activities  - are motivated not by compassion for the Palestinians but by their need for petrodollars. 
• Europe and rich Arab countries such as Qatar have found common ground in their long-held hatred against the Jews. 
• This is what the French peace initiative is all about.

ISIS are Sunni, Palestinians are split between Shia and Sunni.

The UNRWA-run refugee camp has been under Syrian government siege for nearly two years.

The siege led to widespread starvation. Many died of hunger.

The Yarmouk Camp is a 0.8sq.mi. district of Damascus populated by more than 112,000 Palestinian refugees, who have been cut off from any foreign help during the Syrian insurrection.

The UN runs Yarmouk and all other Palestinian refugee camps in the Middle East.

Decades ago the UN separated Palestinian refugees from all other world refugees and created UNRWA, an agency specifically tasked to keep several generations of Palestinians in camps INDEFINITELY.

The United Nations and the Arab world have been using Palestinian refugees and their descendants as tools against Israel, and forcing them to endure miserable lives and discrimination by their Arab host countries, with no hope of a new life elsewhere, until they destroy the state of Israel.

The Palestinian refugee problem originated with genocidal Arab wars that intended to massacre Israelis.

They told Arabs to flee so that the invading armies could more easily massacre Israelis.

Israeli PM Netanyahu has predicted that any Jewish territory ceded to Palestinians will fall into the hands of extremists, such as ISIS, Al Qaeda, Hamas or a myriad of other jihadist groups.  Gaza is already in the clutches of Hamas.  The new Palestinian state would self-destruct in bloody savagery.

If it were not for Israel's limited control of the area, the West Bank would have fallen into the hands of jihadists long ago.   There is already an ISIS presence in the West Bank and in Gaza.  GIVE THEM A STATE?

UPDATE April 5:  Some 400 families have been evacuated from ISIS-controlled Yarmouk.  (Read details further on this page.)

UPDATE April 6:  100 Palestinians have been killed or kidnapped by ISIS, while pro-Iran Hamas fighters swear revenge.  (See latest pictures of ISIS roaming through the Palestinian camp.)

The London-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) watchdog group said the Islamist militants have taken over 90% of Yarmouk, on the southern edge of the Syrian capital.

Four days ago, on February 2, the head of a U.N. commission of inquiry created to investigate war crimes in Gaza was forced to resign after it was revealed that he had taken money from the PLO for providing legal advice.

 

William Schabas’s U.N. job was to expose war criminals and recommend how to hold them “accountable.”

 

William Schabas’s PLO job was to show them how to use the International Criminal Court (ICC) to hold Israeli war criminals accountable. He didn’t think there was a problem.

 

His conflict of interest did not surface, however, until after the inquiry he was heading had “largely completed” its evidence-gathering, and the writing of the requisite report had begun, according to Schabas himself.

 

But instead of taking the only legitimate route and setting aside the whole tainted exercise, the president of the U.N. Human Rights Council, Joachim Rücker of Germany, claimed he was “preserving the integrity” of the inquiry simply by accepting Schabas’s resignation.

The council — the U.N.’s top human-rights body — had voted to create the Schabas inquiry in the middle of the Gaza War last July. Palestinians garnered support from council members and human-rights authorities like China, Russia, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.

 

The United States and the members of the European Union either voted against or abstained. A majority of the states that have seats on the council are not “fully free” (on the Freedom House scale).

 

The idea of the inquiry was to open a second front in the war, conducted by international lawyers, to tie the hands of Israeli decision-makers — political and military — behind their backs.

 

Hence, the Schabas inquiry’s mandate was to examine human-rights violations “in the occupied Palestinian territory,” not “in Israel.”
