Ironically, although many French cities are partly under Muslim control (No-Go Zones), the French government enthusiastically supports the partition of Israel for the creation of the Islamic State of Palestine.

A book published in France reveals how Arab money, Qatar money in particular, may have to do with instances of government corruption and policies of support for Hamas and the Palestinians.  Former president Sarkozy, for example, was key in favoring Qatar as host of the 2022 Soccer World Cup, in exchange for favors.

That article will be followed by another one pointing out the peculiar German tradition of taking moral stands influenced by its own mercantile interests.  Case in point:  Iran.  German economy stands to benefit greatly from a deal that will soften sanctions on a nuclear Iran.

 

Is France betraying Israel

 in favor of Qatar?

Op-ed: Is the strange French initiative to impose a Security Council resolution on a Palestinian state some kind of secret payment to the Gulf emirate, which has turned France into its playground? 

While both former French President Nicolas Sarkozy and incumbent President Francois Hollande present themselves as "friends of Israel," evidence is growing that behind the scenes they are actually betraying Israel, under an influence that smells very bad.

 

A thick book titled "Une France sous influence: Quand le Qatar fait de notre pays son terrain de jeu" (A France under influence: How Qatar turned out country into its playground") exposed last year the very personal relations between the French and Qatari regimes during these two presidents' terms, and asserted that since 2007, France has in fact become a satellite of Qatar, which has bought it and its discretion.

 

The writers, Vanessa Ratignier and Pierre Péan, demonstrate how Qatar has clearly influenced both Sarkozy and Hollande's decision making. 

 

In an attempt to save its sinking economy, France provided its foreign policy as a guarantee to an Arab dictatorship in the Persian Gulf, which is the most hostile Arab state towards Israel and one of the supporters of terror in Syria and Iraq.

 

Qatar invests some $50 billion in France, and the book exposes how it funded Sarkozy's personal divorce settlement with his wife Cecilia, at a total of €3 billion, when he chose to marry Carla Bruni.

 

Was Israel a price demanded by the Qataris?

Sarkozy pretended to be a true friend of Israel, but the WikiLeaks documents exposed this week reveal that during his presidential term he threatened the White House and pressured it not to support Israel on the Palestinian state issue – a delusion which has been preoccupying Qatar for years, as a project.

 

This French hypocrisy is both amazing and disappointing. That's not what we expected from this country.

 

Sarkozy is now busy trying to promote a Qatari representative as the next United Nations secretary-general after Ban Ki-moon's term ends.

The former senior vice president of programming and documentaries of Al Jazeera America announced a lawsuit against her former employer on Thursday, charging the American branch of the Qatar-based news network with a vitriolic bias against Israel, as well as discrimination against non-Arabs and women.

• She charged the company with showing a blatant pro-Arab bias both in terms of employment and news coverage, with the most intense bias coming out against Israel.
• The company is being accused of being acutely sexist and anti-Semitic.
• During last summer's counter-terror Operation Protective Edge in Gaza, she reported being told the mission was to portray Israel as the villain, and give an unfair slant in favor of the Arab and Muslim perspective of the conflict.
• She alleges that AJAM management invoked the conspiracy theory that the 9/11 terror attack was a CIA plot.
• She reported a widespread review bias favoring Arab workers, even when less qualified than non-Arab employees.
• One other employee resigned over anti-Semitic behavior in management.
• Several other employees have resigned in the recent past due to the company bias.
• According to High-Bassalik, the news company's tone has turned more biased as its ratings plummet.

The men, who are told they've been awarded the privilege of serving the dictator abroad, must meet strict criteria in order to be eligible to work overseas.  This includes showing loyalty to the dictator's political party, having money to bribe migrant officials, and having a wife and children in order to dissuade defection.

David Cameron today faced calls to use a meeting with the Emir of Qatar to call for an end to funding being handed to terrorists including ISIS.  The Prime Minister is expected to meet with Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani this week, for talks on economic investment in Britain.

 

But critics want pressure to be put on Qatar to stop the flow of money between rich donors and extremists threatening countries around the world.  

 

In August Qatar denied supporting ISIS militants, insisting that 'determined, collective action' was needed to end sectarian violence in Iraq and Syria.

 

But this week a US government official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said Washington believes Turkey is partnering with Qatar in providing support to Islamist factions and militias in Libya.

If you are puzzled as to why US government policy is often so erratic and acts contrary to American interests, you may want to focus on foreign donations to politicians (Muslim countries are the ones with deep pockets now), and powerful and well-funded US organizations, such as Muslim CAIR, influencing government policy. 

 

However, now you will have an additional about the health of American democracy:  foreign countries financing prestigious research institutions that are source of information and advice for the American government.

The government Internal Revenue Service (IRS) went after the Tea Party while foreign governments were buying liberal think tanks close to the administration and turning them into unregistered foreign agents lobbying for their agenda.

 

Qatar, the small but wealthy Middle East nation, agreed last year to make a $14.8 million, four-year donation to Brookings, which has helped fund a Brookings affiliate in Qatar and a project on United States relations with the Islamic world.

 

“If a member of Congress is using the Brookings reports, they should be aware — they are not getting the full story,” said Saleem Ali, who served as a visiting fellow at the Brookings Doha Center in Qatar, and who said he had been told during his job interview that he could not take positions critical of the Qatari government in papers.

• The White House also supported Qatar - a friend of Gaza Hamas -  in mediating the Israel-Gaza ceasefire agreements (before Egypt's brokered a deal between the two)
• Qatar also created and currently finances Al Jazeera to shape public opinion.

Some international leaders have implicated Qatari officials—accusing them of financing the Islamic State (IS) terror group that is rampaging through Syria and Iraq and continuing to expand its self-proclaimed Sunni caliphate.

 

In late August, German aid development minister Gerd Mueller openly commented on IS’s funding: “Who is financing these troops? Hint: Qatar,” he said, after being forced to walk back the comments due to their lack of political correctness.

Why the outrage over ISIS beheadings, but none over other Muslim countries' routine practice of beheading?

 

The only difference between The Islamic State (ISIS) and other Muslim governments in the Middle East is that ISIS is on a conquering phase, while other governments are already established.  Those with stable tyrannies have already conditioned the population to accept the reality of Sharia Law, which includes stoning, beheadings, and cutting off limbs as punishments for violations of the law.  

If the population is subdued, those punishments are implemented only as needed. 

 

If there is an uprising, tyrants exercise all their power to quell the rebellion, with no consideration to international human rights standards, since they are never bound to them.   

 

Rebels in Syria have also perpetrated beheadings, and even cannibalism.  And yet, the West has sided with these characters just because they are challenging Assad.

Who can ever forget President Bush holding hands with the Saudi Arabia ruler, and President Obama bowing to him.

The White House recently concluded the sale of $11 billion worth of weapons to Qatar - a country practicing slavery and heavily involved in the financing of terror.

 

Saudi Arabia, long considered an ally of the United States, is - like all Muslim states - an apartheid country, with strict implementation of Sharia Law, and where women are treated worse than cattle.

Human Rights Watch -  Saudi Arabia (a close ally of the West) has executed at least 19 people since August 4, 2014. Local news reports indicate that eight of those executed were convicted of nonviolent offenses, seven for drug smuggling and one for sorcery.

One of the most notable aspects of the current conflict between Israel and Hamas in Gaza is the prominent role being played by the Emirate of Qatar in supporting the terrorist organization, whose genocidal charter calls for the murder of Jews and destruction of Israel. 

 

 

Emir Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad al-Thani, the leader of the Emirate of Qatar, is acting as Hamas’ “channel of communication” to the international community.

 

Hamas leader Khaled Mashaal is now in the Qatari capital of Doha directing his organization’s war effort in Gaza, where the Qatari royals welcomed him with open arms after his welcome in Damascus came to an abrupt end.  

 

Qatari funds have been crucial to Hamas’ military build-up in recent years, as they were to the Muslim Brotherhood’s attempted takeover of Egypt under Mohammed Morsi. And the Doha-based satellite channel Al-Jazeera is energetically backing Hamas, as it has other terrorist-connected and supporting movements.

The Qataris, and their ruling al-Thani family, are slavers, narcotics traffickers, and financiers of international terrorism. They also happen to be America's closest ally under this US administration.

When analyzing the foreign policy interventions of this administration with respect to the Middle East, it is hard to reconcile their respective approaches Libya (2011) and Iraq (2014).

 

In 2011, the president justified the military action to remove Muammar Gaddafi on the basis of anticipated genocide by the Gaddafi regime. Speaking at the National Defense University on March 28, 2011,

 

Obama explained "I refused to wait for the images of slaughter and mass graves before taking action." In October of that year, Gaddafi was discovered by Libyan rebels, many whom were Islamists linked to al Qaeda, sodomized, and summarily executed. It is worth recalling that Gaddafi had been, since shortly after 9/11/2001, effectively an American ally, if an imperfect one, in the war on terror.

 

Yet following the fall of Mosul to ISIS in June 2014, and the subsequent exposure by the press of their horrific war crimes, the Obama administration acted strangely inert. The execution of defenseless Iraqi soldiers shocked the world, and ISIS (now known as the Islamic State, or IS) made no effort to hide their crimes: indeed, they proudly advertise them on YouTube.

 

Despite the visual evidence of systematic war crimes and mass murder (à la the Nazi Einsatzgruppen), Obama announced that he would not provide air support for the Iraqi Army. Under the supervision of the Obama administration, Iraq has gone from relatively stable following the 2007 "surge," to being occupied in large part by a genocidal army that targets Christians, Shiites, and all secularly-minded Muslims.

How does one reconcile Obama's actions in Libya, which were allegedly precautionary in nature, to his non-action in Iraq, which amounted to declining to intervene in an actual, real, and ongoing genocide?

 

The most obvious way to explain this is through the lens of America's closest ally these days, the tiny Middle Eastern peninsula in the Persian Gulf: Qatar.

 

Qatar, from the very beginning, has been the primary agitator for the "Arab Spring." Qatari forces were on ground in Libya, training rebels and planning their battles; and they were in the air, conducting air strikes with Dassault Mirage French-made fighter jets.

 

The Qataris are one of the main benefactors of the Syrian rebels, where the murderous Islamic State began to coalesce. (ISIS was the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, after all.) In deposing Gaddafi and attempting to depose Bashar Assad in Syria, it can be said truthfully that the Obama administration and al-Thanis in Qatar were, and are, partners.

Qatar is a strong ally and openly supportive of the Muslim Brotherhood and of Islamist rebels in Syria.

 

This week, the United States signed a massive armaments agreement with the government of Qatar to sell Apache helicopters, advanced Patriot surface-to-air (SAM), and Javelin handheld ground-to-air defense systems to Doha. 

 

The arms deal was signed at the Pentagon in Virginia by U.S. Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel and the Qatari equivalent, Hamad bin Ali al-Attiyah.

 

A Pentagon spokesman said of the major arms deal, “Today’s signing ceremony underscores the strong partnership between the United States and Qatar in the area of security and defense and will help improve our bilateral cooperation across a range of military operations.” He continued, “This is a critically important relationship in the region, and the secretary is pleased to be able to continue to make it stronger.”

 

The new Washington-Doha arms deal may complicate the United States’ relationship with Israel and Egypt, as both countries are engaged in an armed conflict against Muslim Brotherhood jihadi groups, such as Hamas.

 

Egypt and Saudi Arabia have recently designated the Muslim Brotherhood as a terrorist group, but Qatar continues to finance it, maintaining  that its goal is simply to preach the good tenets of Islam.
