MOTHER POLAR BEAR AND HER CUB SHARE THE LOOK OF LOVE

A mother polar bear delighted crowds at Russia's Novosibirsk Zoo, as she played with her newborn cub Shila.
Although polar bears can be fearsome, mother bear Gerda could not have seemed more gentle as she let the newborn clamber all over her as they rolled in the snow.
The enchanting moment was captured by photographer Kirill Kukhmar, as Gerda showed off her new baby to onlookers.

Several grizzly bears spotted splashing around and chomping on fresh salmon at Brooks Falls waterfall in Alaska

Photographer David Silverman captured these incredible images of the dangerous animals from just 50 feet away

The bears seemed fairly relaxed tobegin with although some were later seen angrily baring their teeth at one another

Playing all day long, the cubs also experience the excitement of seeing mom battle a much larger male bear. The photos were taken by American photographer DAVID SILVERMAN, 53, in Hallo Bay, Alaska.

JUST LIKE BALOO THE BEAR - This bear scratches her back on a tree - The similarities between the cartoon and the real bear are startling.

After using the tree-trunk, the female bear in Finland uses a giant branch to scratch, and she looks the spitting image of Baloo from the famous scene in the Rudyard Kipling inspired Disney movie.

Jamen Percy, from London, spotted the bear during a trip to northern Finland, while watching the bears activity discreetly from an armoured hide. He said: 'It was like a scene straight out of Jungle Book with Baloo scratching himself on the tree. Although this was a different species of bear, they all seem to love a good tree scratch.'

Arthur was a stray dog who decided to join a European Peak Performance Team during their treck through the jungle in South America. It all started when one of the members gave him a meatball. From then on Arthur followed them through all kinds of challenges. In the end his loyalty, bravery and devotion paid off.
