THE EVER ADORABLE PENGUINS MARCH IN ANTARCTICA - Great photos by Ira Meyer

California-based penguin photographer Ira Meyer reveals his favourite photos of the bird he's been documenting for more than a decade around Antarctica and the South Georgia region.

Over the years he has snapped a number of different species including Macaronis and Chinstraps. He says that a penguin's behaviour changes each season but they always guarantee to be entertaining.

Gentoo chicks are always hungry.

Mr de Souza named the creature Dindim and released him back into wild

Dindim goes off to breed but always returns to stay at Mr de Souza's home

The small group of baby emperor penguins took shelter from the storm by huddling together behind the adults

Arthur was a stray dog who decided to join a European Peak Performance Team during their treck through the jungle in South America. It all started when one of the members gave him a meatball. From then on Arthur followed them through all kinds of challenges. In the end his loyalty, bravery and devotion paid off.
