PHOTOS OF A FLIPPED ICEBERG revealing what it looks like underneath: an alien-looking BLUEBERG

  • San Francisco-based photographer, Alex Cornell, said the bright blue iceberg  was unlike 'anything terrestrial'
  • Unlike the other icebergs around it, the surreal sleeping beast was completely free of snow and debris
  • Using a Canon 5D Mark II and a 16-35mm f/2.8 lens, Mr Cornell was able to capture some incredible views
  • Around 90 per cent of any iceberg is below the surface, making iceberg flips an extremely rare occurrence

  • While on an expedition to Antarctica, San Francisco- based Alex Cornell was stunned by an blue iceberg floating across the landscape
