VIDEO - ISRAELI JOURNALIST CAROLINE GLICK ANGRILY CONFRONTS DANISH AMBASSADOR DURING DIPLOMATIC FORUM - He defended the West's double standards for criticizing Israel. - To Europeans the only acceptable Jews are dead Jews - They ban the word Israel at Holocaust memorials

CAROLINE GLICK
Writer and Jerusalem Post editor Caroline Glick confronts Danish ambassador at a Diplomatic Conference with a frank exposure of European double standards and OBSESSIVE nitpicking of Israel while ignoring the truly horrendous violations of human rights in the Muslim Middle East.

The five-minute discussion starts with the Danish ambassador Jesper Vahr telling Israel that Jews should be happy they are judged by higher standards because "you are one of us".

What did he exactly mean by that?  Like us, as in human?  Like us, as in civilized?   If so, what can we infer from his attitude towards those who are not "like us" and who are supported and funded by Britain?

In spite of the ambassador's words about Israelis being "one of us,"  Arab lives are worth more to the US and EU governments, that go apoplectic every time Arabs are killed during aggressive confrontations with Israeli armed forces - but are completely indifferent to the many Jews who are attacked on a daily basis by Palestinians, and quite often murdered.

Also notice that in the ambassador's and in other statements about Israel, the country is portrayed as a powerful state against a small number of Palestinian Arabs.
THIS IS NOT CORRECT.
The conflict is and has always been between Israel and the Muslim world.
Israel is truly a David against an army of Goliaths.
Iranian leaders threaten Israel daily with annihilation.
The Turkish government too engages in threats and joins the chorus demonizing Israel.
And Arab countries prepare themselves for the next war with Israel with weapons provided by the United States of America.
The White House recently sold $11 billion worth of weapons to Qatar.
Qatar is known for arming and financing Hamas and other terror groups.
To the US and EU governments, the Arabs are tools for the destruction of Israel.

And on whose side is the supposedly civilized world - Europe and the United States?
On the side of those with a genocidal past and genocidal intentions:  The anti-Semitic Muslim world.

The so-called Palestinians were collaborators with the Nazis.  This is something that is never mentioned.   See article with historical evidence at the end of this page.

And today Europe and the United States have the gall of demanding Israel's partition to reward Nazi collaborators with a terror state on Jewish land.

Watch this clip from the conference with Caroline Glick and the Danish ambassador - It's only five minutes long.

In it Caroline Glick gives an impassionate response to the ambassador's insulting attitude towards Israel.  She denounces Europe's true motives for their single-minded obsession with the Jews for the past 2000 years.

                        Diplomatic Conference:
Danish ambassador and JPost's Caroline Glick exchange verbal blows over EU attitude toward Israel

By  TOVAH LAZAROFF \ Jerusalem Post

Jerusalem Post - Europe should apply a double standard to Israel when judging its actions compared to other Middle Eastern nations, Danish Ambassador Jesper Vahr said on Thursday, causing sparks to fly at the Jerusalem Post Diplomatic Conference in the capital.

“Israel should insist that we discriminate, that we apply double standards, this is because you are one of us,” Vahr said during a panel discussion on relations between Israel and Europe.

Israelis sometimes ask why Europe applies a different standard to its neighboring countries, such as Syria, Vahr said. “Those are not the standards that you are being judged by. It is not the standards that Israel would want to be judged by,” he said.

Israel should want to be held to European standards, not Middle Eastern ones, he said.

“So I think you have the right to insist that we apply double standards and put you to the same standards as all the rest of the countries in the European context.”

The Jerusalem Post’s diplomatic correspondent, Herb Keinon, who moderated the panel, asked Vahr if his statement couldn’t be seen as “patronizing” to the Palestinians.

Vahr responded: “I am not sure it is,” particularly given that Israel is the stronger party in the conflict and the Palestinians are the weaker one.

It is “natural,” Vahr said, to engage differently with Israel, a country with whom Europe, including Denmark, has an extensive cooperative relationship with in trade and cultural affairs.

Vahr’s comments angered Caroline B. Glick, the Post’s senior contributing editor, who retorted that they were a “statement of contempt for our intelligence.”

“I consider Europe’s keen interest in the Middle East, specifically Israel, to be an obsession,” she said. “It is an obsession that Jews have seen from Europeans from the time of Jesus.”

Glick was particularly struck by Vahr’s reference to a common culture between Israel and Europe.

“We have this whole common culture, I mean really? We respect international law. You guys make it up,” she said.

In 2001, the United Nations Security Council approved a binding resolution that bars UN member states from funding or supporting terrorist organizations, Glick said.

That resolution, she said, has not stopped Europe from “funneling billions of euros into rebuilding terrorist-controlled Gaza.

“This is in contravention of binding international law that you signed onto,” she charged.

But when it comes to Israel, Europe simply invents international law, Glick said. Europe acts as if it is required by law to sanction Israel for activity over the pre-1967 lines in West Bank settlements and Jerusalem, even though there is no such binding international legislation, she said.

“There is no such binding law. You guys are funding settlements in Western Sahara.

You are funding them directly,” she said. “This is not a double standard. This is a singular standard for Israel. This is not about international law. It is about an obsessive, compulsive need to constantly pick at the Jewish state,” she said.

After receiving applause from the audience, Glick continued: “No, I do not want to be proud that you are looking at us in a different standard from our neighbors because you are not looking at our neighbors as human beings.

“What you are saying is that they are objects. The only actor in this entire region are the people they are trying to annihilate.

“The only people who are supposed to be judged for our actions, and always poorly, are the people who are doing everything possible – more than Europe, more than the US, more than anyone – in order to protect the lives of the Palestinians,” she said.

THE DARK REASONS BEHIND EUROPE'S OBSESSION WITH ISRAEL - Muslim money, Muslim votes, and historical anti-Semitism - Meanwhile they ignore the desperate plight of Christians, Kurds, Yazidis, and other minorities in the Middle East

Sweden Riots
In addition to the following analysis, one should consider another possibility hanging in the air, and that is one of race wars in Europe.

As Muslim immigrants become more influential and assertive, replacing European culture with their own Sharia law, and as they also become increasingly violent, there is bound to be a backlash.

Photo on the left shows the December 7, 2014 Muslim riots and firebombing of police in Sweden.  When this happens in Israel, the Europeans sympathize with the Muslims.  Not so when  Muslim violence happens on their own soil

While most Europeans seem willing to passively commit demographic and cultural suicide, all it will take is a minority of nationalists, neo-Nazis, and other groups to fight back.

They will either do it by the ballot box, or by violent means.  Or both.  There are historical precedents.

Nationalist parties are already surging in many European countries.  It's only a matter of time.  Thus the prospects for Europe are either becoming Islamized or facing a new fascist upsurge.

In the meantime Europe and the White House continue to obsess over Jews building homes in Jerusalem, while they barely give a glance to egregious abuse of human rights all over the Middle East, not just in countries in war conflicts.

The reason is simple:  The Palestinians are the world's tool to destabilize, terrorize, and eventually destroy the state of Israel.
That's the US and EU governments' ultimate agenda.

Europe's Israel obsession

by Dr Ephraim Herrera

What's the deal with European parliaments recognizing an Islamic state of Palestine on Jewish land?

Why are they not dealing with the ongoing exodus of some 10 million Syrians fleeing their homes, or the millions of Africans who are suffering from malnutrition and starvation, or the persecution of the Christians and the Yazidis in Muslim countries, or the chaos in Libya and Iraq, or the military coup in Egypt?

PALESTINIAN OFFICIAL ASSURES ARABS THAT ABBAS CONDEMNATION OF THE MASSACRE OF JEWS WAS A SCAM and that everyone supports killing rabbis

By forcing Abbas to lie and issue a fake condemnation of the slaughter of Jewish rabbis in Jerusalem, the United States government continues to be an active participant in a major land swindle aimed at depriving Jews of their ancient biblical heartland for the creation of a Muslim terror state.

That is not all.  The US government is fully aware that returning Israel to the 1967 indefensible borders (only 9 miles wide and with the country split in two to give Arabs a land corridor between Ramallah and Gaza) would result in the destruction of Israel.

That is the US and EU governments endgame:
the destruction of Israel through partition.

And to them all means
- including forcing Abbas to lie -
 justify this end.

WHAT THE WORLD CAN EXPECT FROM AN ISLAMIC PALESTINIAN STATE - How the West is willing to accept the resulting Mideast chaos for the sake of seeing Israel's destroyed

The Palestinian ultimate aim for the destruction of Israel has been expressed loud and clear.  So one could ask, what part is it that Western advocates of a Palestinian state don't understand?

But they do understand.  And that's exactly why they support it.

TSS
A country nine miles wide at its narrowest point, with a Palestinian land corridor cutting it in two, and with terrorists digging tunnels and launching rockets from across the border.

That's only for starters.  The new state would ally itself with ISIS or a nuclear Iran.
What could go wrong?  But the West loves the idea.

And although all Arab countries are severely dysfunctional and with oppressive regimes, the West wants to use ancient Jewish land for the creation of another Arab state and the resulting destruction of the only Mideast country with democracy and human rights.

One thing that Professor Beres does NOT mention on his column "What the World should expect" is that it is precisely the prospect of Israel being destroyed by terror from an independent Palestinian state that has western governments salivating.

That is why European countries have begun to recognize the state of Palestine already, and why the White House has used every possible means to pressure Israel to partition its land for the creation of a terror Palestinian state.

Prof. Beres outlines how an independent Palestinian state would unleash a major upheaval in the Middle East.

But Western governments are willing to live with those consequences, if the result from all that chaos and violence is the destruction of Israel.

That is what the West has been working on since before Israel's independence.  Step by step, Western leaders have been undermining Israel's viability.

Their hope, originally, was that Arab countries themselves would do the job and vanquish the tiny state of Israel.

The Arabs tried several times, with large armies, well armed by the West, and motivated by the prospect of massacring the Jews and destroying their country.

But Israelis have had the uncanny habit of winning wars against incredible odds.

Facing this,  Western countries realized that they had to change tactics, and so they resorted to heavy-handed diplomacy and the funding of subversive "humanitarian" organizations operating in Israel to undermine the country while empowering the Arabs.

In the past decades Western governments have been hiding their operations under slogans such as "land for peace," while pouncing on Israel for every real or imaginary humanitarian concern.

It's nothing less than a psychological war - bullying taken to the highest level.

The West hasn't changed at all.

Let's remember that while Europe persecuted and slaughtered Jews during the Nazi years, the US and other western countries slammed the door in their faces.  No entry visas for them, no rescue, and eventually no bombing of the death camp facilities because - as some Western leaders were quoted as saying - they did not want to deal with too many survivors after the war ended.

The following column and many others start from the premise that Western leaders are simply uninformed, or misguided in their support for Israel's partition, and that they haven't though about the consequences of what they're asking for.

Nothing could be further from the truth.  THEY KNOW what they want, and what they want is Israel's destruction, and eventually the destruction of all Jews.

Only a few decades after the Holocaust, Jews are being attacked and killed in Europe and in the United States.  Once Jews don't have a state of their own to run to, they will once again be fair game for both neo-Nazis and Muslims who will do the killing, while the rest of the people passively watch - once again.

There are huge humanitarian crises going on at the present moment, but both Europe and the US have largely avoided any intervention or rescue.  It's the Palestinians that absorb all their time and much of their foreign aid.

The only reason why the US is fighting ISIS, according to the Chairman of US Chiefs of Staff General Martin Dempsey, is that ISIS threatens oil installations in the Kurdish areas.  The US government could not care less for all the people being massacred by ISIS.

This following chart says it all.

The obsession with the Palestinians is not out of a humanitarian concern, but out of a desire to use the Palestinians to destroy Israel.

International aid PER CAPITA for Palestinians and for truly needy countries

A Palestinian State -
What the World Should Expect

By Prof. Louis Rene Beres
The writer (Ph.D, Princeton, 1971) is is professor of Political Science and International Law at Purdue University. He is the author of many books, monographs, and articles dealing with Israeli security matters, nuclear strategy and nuclear war.

  • The world has not stopped to contemplate the snowballing results of creating a "Palestinian" state.
  • First effects would be felt by Israel, but then those effects would expand to other countries.
  • Their ideology would be jihadist.
  • And all factions, including 'moderate' ones, express their goal of eventually obliterating Israel.
  • Evidence:  Gaza turned into a  Hamas terror entity after Israel's withdrawal.
  • The state of Palestine would use existing Arab Israeli population as a tool for terror.
  • The largest threat would be a Palestine allied with regional Jihadi groups and/or Muslim superpowers.
  • This would result in the eruption of a major ME war with Israel confronting multiple enemies.
  • With Iran inching closer to becoming a nuclear power, all these factors point to a perfect apocalyptic storm.

Palestine belongs to the Palestinians, from the (Jordan) River to the (Mediterranean) Sea. We must not cede this narrative. From the River to the Sea....Palestine belongs to the Palestinians; and the heart of the matter is the right of return, our cause is the right of return  (Palestinian PA Parliament Member, Khalida Jarrar, April 16, 2014)

At a moment when supremely civilized countries all over the world seem eager to support Palestinian statehood - Germany is the latest -  few have taken the trouble to examine precisely what this support could actually mean.

To be sure, the expected impact of a 23rd Arab sovereignty would be most immediately injurious to Israel, although, over time, even enthusiastic European advocates of "Palestine" would likely suffer their own consequent harms. This is because a Palestinian state - any Palestinian state - would quickly become yet another dedicated launching site for Jihadist terrorism.

Oddly enough, nothing could be more obvious.

UNITED STATES AND EUROPEAN GOVERNMENTS HAVE LOST ALL SHAME - Oblivious to their own complicity with the Holocaust, they now tell Jews they are not allowed to live and build in their ancient capital, Jerusalem - while they demand a partition that will result in Israel's destruction.

Yellowbadge logo.svgWhen Jews were suffering persecution under the German Nazi regime they desperately tried to obtain visas to Britain, to the United States, to Canada, to Australia, and dozens of others countries.  Any place where they could save their lives and those of their children.

The response was unanimously:  NO.

Those countries made excuses.  They blamed the economy.  Sometimes they did not make any excuses at all and they simply said 'One Jew is too many'.  So six million innocent European men, women, and children were rounded up, starved, tortured, gassed, and burned in crematoria.

But that was not an aberration.

Europeans had practiced for centuries, persecuting, torturing, burning Jews alive.  And in between persecutions,  those respectable Europeans kept the Jews in ghettos.

The illustration on the right is of the massacre in Strasbourg in the year 1349, where several hundred Jews were burned alive.  One of countless massacres.  The descendants of the perpetrators are now telling Jews that they cannot build or live in ancient Jerusalem.

During the Middle Ages Jews were not allowed to live outside their ghetto.  And today Europe considers parts of Israel as a Jewish ghetto, and it is doing its utmost to corral Jews into an indefensible piece of land under the excuse of "peace".

Before modern Israel became an independent state, the world did not want the Jews in Europe or anywhere else.   They still don't want them.  Jews and Jewish institutions are being attacked in Europe, and Jews are again afraid to walk the streets.   Boycot_Jews_april_1_1933

And sometimes, when there are no Jews around anymore, Europeans desecrate their graveyards, instead.

Or more likely, they join pro-Palestinian organizations where they can demonize Jews to their heart's content in the name of a very convenient  'humanitarian' cause.

Going home.  Many decades ago some enterprising Jews got the message that they were not wanted in Europe, so they decided to go back to their own homeland,  Israel, which at that time was occupied by the Muslim Ottomans.

Years passed, World War I ended, and the British took over from the Turks and occupied the land.  The League of Nations entrusted Britain with the Mandate for Palestine for the establishment of a Jewish homeland.  And the British, true to character, betrayed it.

Out of the territory they had recognized for Israel, they carved out a country that had never existed before, put an Arab in charge, called him a king, and voila',  the state of Transjordan was born - today the kingdom of Jordan.

There had never been an Arab country in that region before.  Jordan was invented by the British.

You would have thought that this partition of Jewish land would have solved the issue of local Arabs' demand for a country of their own.

The tiny 25% of land of the Palestinian Mandate the British left for the Jews, is to this day ALSO being claimed by Arabs.  Some, like Fatah, want to get one "peace" at the time, others, like Hamas, want to take it over by terror and military force, as soon as they are able to.

You would also think that the Europeans, the United States and other Western countries would feel contrite at having been complicit with the Holocaust.  Not so.

In a turn of events of utter absurdity - they self-righteously demand another partition of Israel.  They have arrogated to themselves the role of dictating - and I'm not using this word lightly - how Jews should run Israel, and where they are allowed to live in their own country.

For example, although Europeans tormented and killed millions of Jews for centuries, they now feel entitled to tell Jews in what parts of Jerusalem - Israel's capital - they are allowed to live and build.  And they also demand that ancient Judea and Samaria, which they have renamed "West Bank", must also be Judenrein - cleansed of Jews and handed over to Arab terrorists.

And if Israelis do not submit, Europeans threaten with their old punishment of boycotting anything Israeli that they don't absolutely need to have.   (They won't boycott Israeli communication technology, for example, because they can't live without it.)

We must also point out that some of the blame lies with weak and submissive Israeli leadership - which has completely and shamefully failed to take a stand to challenge European and American interference and blatant distortion of legal and historical facts.

TO THE WHITE HOUSE WHAT IS TERROR IN CANADA, IT IS SIMPLY RESISTANCE IN JERUSALEM. - The US pledges support to Canada, but tells Israel to "stay calm" and not escalate situation - in other words, just take it.

The Obama administration pledged its “full support” for Canada to “to hold those responsible” for Wednesday’s terrorist attack but told Israel “to maintain calm and avoid escalating tensions.”

The different reactions say in a nutshell everything you need to know how the United States is feeding what Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman called a “worldwide epidemic” of terrorism.

The Obama administration constantly maintains that if Israel simply would stop trying to survive as a Jewish state and hand over more than half of the country to the Palestinian Authority on an Islamic platter, there will no longer be a reason for Arab terrorists to exist.
Terror victim Chaya Zisel Baron (Israel)

When a terrorist attacks in Ottawa, U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry says, “We will continue to work closely with our Canadian colleagues to ensure the safety of all our people, and together to counter violent extremism in North America and elsewhere around the world.”

When a terrorist attacks in Jerusalem, Kerry does not even bother to put his name on the press release. He dictates to Spokeswoman Jen Psaki to say, “We urge all sides to maintain calm and avoid escalating tensions in the wake of this incident.”

President Obama & Palestinian Pres Abbas.
The United States condemned both attacks, of course.

“We condemn today’s heinous and evil attacks in Ottawa, seemingly aimed at the heart of the federal government itself. The United States has faced this kind of violence firsthand on our own soil, and we grieve with Canada, seared by the memory of our own painful experiences,” Kerry stated.

He even picked up the phone to speak with Canadian Foreign Minister Baird “to express our deepest condolences on this tragic day, and to pledge the full support of the United States to Canada as it works to determine the facts and to hold those accountable responsible.”

In response to the murder of a three-month-old baby, an American-Israeli, Psaki stated, “The United States condemns in the strongest possible terms today’s terrorist attack in Jerusalem. We express our deepest condolences to the family of the baby, reportedly an American citizen, who was killed in this despicable attack, and extend our prayers for a full recovery to those injured.

“We urge all sides to maintain calm and avoid escalating tensions in the wake of this incident.”

That’s it. No support for the Israeli government “to determine the facts and to hold those accountable responsible.”

No statement that the United States “will continue to work closely with our Israeli colleagues to ensure the safety of all our people, and together to counter violent extremism in North America and elsewhere around the world.”

The United States did not call on “all sides” in Canada “to maintain calm and avoid escalating tensions.”

US PRESIDENT REFUSES TO SUPPORT HONG KONG DEMOCRACY MOVEMENT - BUT STRONGLY CONDEMNS ISRAEL - UK joins the US in dismissing Hong Kong demonstrators pleading for democracy

BREITBART - Hong Kong's pro-democracy demonstrators protesting China’s attempts to quash their rights to self government appear to be only the latest pro-Western group forsaken by the Obama administration. Meanwhile, its high volume criticism of Israel continues unabated.   First, Hong Kong.  Protest in that former British colony have grown massively.
President Obama

The demonstrators oppose the communist government in Beijing's  refusal to stand by the provisions of the 1984 Sino-British Joint Declaration regarding conditions for Hong Kong government after its return to China from Britain.

Protestors claim that China reneged on that agreement in June when it announced that Beijing would decide which candidates would be permitted to run in the 2017 elections to pick the self governing city’s next Chief Executive thereby insuring it would have full control over all the candidates that seek that office.

UNITED STATES SIDES WITH HAMAS and chastises Israel for targeting terrorists using human shields - Hamas is part of the Muslim Brotherhood - White House sympathies for Muslim Brotherhood

Israel's PM Netanyahu and President Obama
USING HUMAN SHIELDS IS A WAR CRIME
THE WHITE HOUSE APPEARS TO CONDONE IT.

I post the following article with reluctance.  It is nauseating how Israel feels obligated to justify the process of defending itself to nations that either perpetrated the Holocaust, or stood idle while Jews burned.

The Allies intervention during World War II took specific care NOT to bomb the railroads used by Nazis to transport victims to the death camps.  They also took care NOT to bomb the crematoria used in those camps.

Documents show the Allies did not want the expense and the bother of looking after too many Jewish survivors in post-war Europe.

Previously they had also made sure they did NOT allow desperate European Jews to obtain visas for the United States, Britain, Canada, and other countries.   They let them be tortured, slaved, starved, gassed and burned.

Today those same perpetrators of the Holocaust and their collaborators (Europe, Britain, the United States) have arrogated to themselves the right to micromanage Israel demanding Israelis not to build homes in their own land (after murdering them in Europe), and determining when and how they cannot defend themselves against Arab terrorists.  All the while funding and pampering the same Arabs who proclaim their intent to destroy Israel and the Jews.

To put it succinctly:  The nations that perpetrated the Holocaust and those that allowed it to happen have outsourced the completion of the Final Solution to the Arabs.
One fact that is rarely mentioned is that this is not just a Jewish-Palestinian conflict.  This is a Jewish-Arab conflict.  Tiny Israel is surrounded by large and well-armed Arab countries with huge armies.  Those Arab countries have repeatedly attacked Israel, and will do so again.

And guess who has been arming those Arab countries?  The United States of America.  While pressuring Israel to shrink even more... for peace.

I have included a list of related articles to explain and give source to these assertions.  (Blogger)

The State Department is scolding Israel -- attacking Israel, in fact -- for firing back at Hamas terrorists who hid behind UNRWA facilities in Gaza. What kind of ally is this?
By:  - Jewish Press

The U.S. State Department has attacked its ally, Israel, for returning fire in combat when Hamas and allied terrorists shelled its soldiers or fired rockets at Israeli civilians from within and around UNWRA facilities.

It is standard military practice that American own troops have carried out thousands of times in Afghanistan, Mosul and elsewhere around the world without ever issuing even one leaflet of warning to the population, let alone a phone call requesting residents to leave.

WHEN SOMEONE WANTS TO KILL YOU AND YOUR FAMILY AND TAKE OVER YOUR HOME - CAN THAT BE CALLED A "CONFLICT"? - How do you compromise? How do you meet him half way?

Negotiating With Hamas Cartoon

By Batya Medad

Just like a doctor can't and shouldn't prescribe treatment without a proper, true, accurate diagnosis, we, the State of Israel will never achieve peace until we recognize what the problem is between us and the Arabs and then find a useful way of solving it.

The real reason there's constant war between the Arabs and Israel has nothing to do with anything that can be mediated or negotiated away.  It is not a "conflict." It is not a "spat." It is not what is called in
Hebrew sichsuch  ×¡ִ×›ְסוּךְ.
• a conflict between two gangs• recent violent conflict in the region• Everyone in my family always tries to avoid conflict.• There was inevitable conflict over what to name the group.• They're having serious conflicts over the budget.• I don't see any conflicts between the theories.• You'll need to resolve the conflict between your parents' plans for you and your own ambitions.
The very simple truth is that the Arab aim is the destruction of the State of Israel and the death (or banishment) of Jews. Remember that officially many Arab countries, including the so-called moderate sic Jordan is Judenrein, empty/cleansed of Jews.
Fatah leader calls to destroy Israel "from the river to the sea!"
(Palestinian Media Watch)
Source: Facebook page of Tawfiq Tirawi, member of Fatah Central Committee, Aug. 5, 2014 (Fatah is regarded as the "moderate" Palestinian faction, the "partners for peace".)
"O our free people of resolve and sacrifice in Gaza, you are more honored than us all... We remain committed to the promise: freedom, independence, and driving out the occupier from the entire pure land, from the [Jordan] River to the [Mediterranean] Sea.
Long live free Gaza!
Your brother, Tawfiq Tirawi."

The State of Israel's hasbara information campaign and its foreign and defense policies unfortunately are totally faulty, because it keeps on avoiding the true issue.

PRESIDENT OBAMA HAS BEEN TRYING TO PROTECT HAMAS AND THE MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD ALL ALONG

The following article was written by an Israeli Arab journalist just before things unravelled so dramatically, with Hamas violating another truce, and the killing of several Israeli soldiers at a tunnel, and the kidnapping of a soldier, who is now presumed dead.

This article is still relevant because it exposes the games played by the United States in the Middle East - games so erratic that they are inflaming the situation all over the area, and putting Israel in greater danger.

WHERE DOES HAMAS GET THE RESOURCES TO KILL JEWS? - FROM YOU, AMERICAN AND EUROPEAN TAXPAYERS

These are the top recipients of international aid, sorted by aid PER CAPITA.

The Palestinian Authority (PA) spends over half its budget on Gaza - even when they are not controlling Gaza. Which means that Hamas has money to buy weapons and build tunnels instead of helping Gazans and building infrastructure.

So, yes, our tax dollars - which pay the Palestinians more per capita than any country every single year - went a long way towards helping build the terror infrastructure Israel faces today.

CRIME PAYS - FOR ARAB TERRORISTS

By Ted Poe, Jerusalem Post

The more serious the crime the more money the criminal receives after going to prison. Absurd? Yes. True? Yes again.

When a Palestinian Arab terrorist murders an Israeli or an American in Israel, they can wind up receiving a generous salary, in excess of $40,000 a year, for their crime. And if you are a US taxpayer, you are footing part of the tab.

CANADA STANDS WITH ISRAEL - Visiting Members of Parliament join Jerusalem rally of support for Israel

"Canada stands with Israel," says Canadian Ambassador Vivian Bercovici at solidarity event.

Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat praised a recent Canada-Israel solidarity gathering as “the first big mission since [former New York] mayor Michael Bloomberg,” which according to the mayor, demonstrated “who the best friend of Israel is.”

Several hundred Canadians: Some living and some visiting in Israel; some who boarded a plane at a moment’s notice to “Stand with Israel” (in the words of the evening’s title); and some parliamentarians already in Israel on a fact-finding mission; came together on Wednesday in a fervent display of dual-nationalism.

THE UNITED STATES GAZA GAMES - Israeli soldiers are again pawns in a larger US game in the Middle East

While Israelis are fighting and dying, families huddling in bomb shelters and soldiers going off to face death,  men and women in suits and power suits moving through the great halls of diplomacy are using them as pawns in a larger game.

The real target of the Hamas campaign wasn’t Israel; it was Egypt.

During the Cold War, Israel was a pawn in a larger struggle between the US and the USSR. Now it is back to being a counter in a larger game.

Israel’s function within the great halls of diplomacy was always as a lever on the Arab states. It was not an end, but a means of moving them one way or another.

When the Arab states drifted into the Soviet orbit, the “Special Relationship” was born. The relationship accomplished its goal once Egypt was pried out of the Soviet orbit. It has lingered on because of the emotional and cultural ties of Israel and the US.

Now Obama is using Israel as a lever to push Egypt back into the Islamist camp. Egypt’s rejection of the Muslim Brotherhood broke the Arab Spring. Political Islam, which seemed to be on the ascendance, is back to being a freak show represented by terrorists and Turkey’s mad mustachioed dictator.

Egypt was where Obama went to begin the Arab Spring. Egypt is still his target. Israel is just the lever.

The reason Israel was never allowed to truly win any wars was because it was being used as a lever. By being a “good lever” during the Cold War, it could damage Egypt enough that the latter would come to the negotiating table overseen by the US and move back into the Western sphere of influence.

Israel couldn’t be allowed to win a big enough victory because then there would nothing to negotiate. Likewise, Israel wouldn’t be allowed to keep what it won because then there would be no reason for Egypt to come to the negotiating table. Sometimes Israel would even be expected to lose, as in the Yom Kippur War, to force it to come to the negotiating table.
