* On the following video by independent journalist, author, and pro-free-speech activist Lauren Southern, she tells how she came prepared for leftist violence by wearing a helmet and breathing apparatus, and bringing along a few male friends as bodyguards (she has been physically attacked by leftists in the past).
* She needed them, as leftists threw bricks, stones, and fireworks, and sprayed pepper spray into the pro-Trump crowds, while police mostly watched the scene from their cars.
* It seems that police only made arrests when pro-Trump demonstrators defended themselves. California leftist authorities apparently made police abandon their obligation to protect peaceful demonstrators as long as those committing violence were leftist mobs.

Hundreds of leftists threw stones, lit fires, tossed explosives and tear gas and attacked pro-Trump supporters with makeshift weapons. They had to defend themselves as police stood idly by unless leftists got hurt.
BREITBART: AJ Alegria, 31, of Sacramento, told the Times he came to Berkeley to help defend Trump supporters and was surrounded by a dozen protesters in black masks who he said attacked him with sticks and pepper spray.
“These people create violence all the time… somebody has to stand up to them,” said Alegria, who was injured in the fight and treated by Trump supporters who bandaged his head, washed off the pepper spray and gave him encouragement, saying, “You’ve earned your stripes, bro.”
“I got hit in the back of the head with some sticks,” Bergquam told the San Francisco Chronicle as another activist wrapped gauze around his wound. “I don’t agree with everything Trump says, but I don’t agree with violence.”
With assistance from the Oakland Police Department, the Berkeley police fared better at keeping the peace than they did in February, when violent demonstrators set fires and destroyed more than $100,000 worth of property that forced the cancelation of a speech by then-Breitbart Tech editor Milo Yiannopoulos at UC Berkeley. The Chronicle reported that several liberal groups long-planned to disrupt the pro-Trump rally with the intent to shut it down.

What does #Resistance really mean? It means the overthrow of our government.
In this century, Democrats rejected the outcomes of two presidential elections won by Republicans. After Bush won, they settled for accusing him of being a thief, an idiot, a liar, a draft dodger and a mass murderer. They fantasized about his assassination and there was talk of impeachment. But elected officials gritted their teeth and tried to get things done.
This time around it’s “radically” different. The official position, from the Senate to the streets, is “Resistance.” Leftist media outlets are feeding the faithful a fantasy that President Trump will be brought down. There is fevered speculation about the 25th Amendment, a coup or impeachment due to whatever scandal has been manufactured last.
This fantasy is part clickbait. Leftist media outlets are feeding the worst impulses of their readers. But there is a bigger and more disturbing radical endgame.
