Even if Fukushima was ultimately caused by the 2011 earthquake and ensuing tsunami, accidents such as this beg the question: can nuclear energy ever be truly safe? There are three reasons to think that nuclear accidents are common, and could increase – and it’s not because of the technology. Let’s have a look at the evidence.

 

First, people are fallible, even at nuclear reactors. Operator error is still a very common factor in incidents and accidents.

 

Second, big accidents almost always have very small beginnings. Nuclear power plants are so complex that relatively simple things — shirt tails, fuses, light bulbs, mice, cats, and candles — can disrupt the entire system.

 

And finally, many failures are those of organisations more than technology. Given the right event, all these factors can lead to system-wide failure.

FUKUSHIMA ECOCIDE - WE ARE ALL RESPONSIBLE NOW

The big news right now is Syria, where a chemical attack on several hundred people has prompted the United States and British governments into getting ready to attack Syrian government facilities. They want to act and they want to do it now.  To teach the Syrian government a lesson - they say - "for poisoning their own people".  (Would poisoning other people be OK?)

 

In the meantime the government of Japan and TEPCO, the company responsible for the Fukushima nuclear power plant, have been poisoning the people of Japan, their drinking water, their food, their air - everything.

But that's not all.  


CAN A COUNTRY GET AWAY WITH A SLOW-MOTION NUCLEAR ATTACK ON THE WHOLE PLANET?

Japan and TEPCO have been dumping countless gallons of highly radioactive water into the Pacific, poisoning an ocean that belongs to all of us - people and other living things. 

Radioactive air particles have been reaching the US and Canada's west coast since the start, two and a half years ago. 

If you're not allowed to dump your house trash on your neighbor's yard, how come our governments are so patient with Japan's ongoing major contamination of the rest of the planet? 
 

FUKUSHIMA HAS BEEN OUT OF CONTROL FROM THE START
 

And it gets more out of control by the day.  Yet, you don't hear a peep from the international community about intervening to protect us from this SLOW-MOTION NUCLEAR ATTACK on the whole planet by TEPCO and the government of Japan - with the silent complicity of OUR governments.

 

No nuclear accident of this magnitude can be considered a local event subject to local laws.


THERE IS AN URGENT NEED TO ORGANIZE TO OFFER SOLUTIONS AND TO DEMAND INTERNATIONAL INTERVENTION IN FUKUSHIMA

Scientists and nuclear experts need to form a permanent emergency think tank to offer their best options for the containment and mitigation of the damage. 

They should look at this as a learning experience because nuclear reactors all over the world are at risk. 

It is time for scientists to speak out with one voice in demanding international intervention and that all necessary money and efforts be allocated to mitigate the damage.  

Environmental activists must also do more than just report and condemn, and must coordinate their efforts to demand intervention and financial assistance by the world community. 

 

Celebrities intent on doing something good for their fellow human beings could also be called upon to publicize the situation and demand action by our governments. 

No effort should be spared.  This is a desperate situation.

Since it's obvious that Japan and TEPCO cannot cope at this point, it is up to us to save ourselves.  We are all responsible now.  The international community must take charge.

Let's demand an international intervention to finance and operate the necessary remediation of the site.

Alarm is rising on mainstream media headlines.  Maybe the anti-nuclear media - dismissed as alarmists until now - were right for the past two and a half years when calling attention to the obvious:  a growing nuclear catastrophe of global proportions.

South Korea is cancelling flights to Fukushima after information about the extensive leaks at the plant were admitted. China’s government said they were surprised that leaks were still happening at the disaster site. This past week's developments on the Fukushima disaster -  a true ecocide of the Pacific Ocean that will continue to get worse over the next months, years, and decades.

FUKUSHIMA RETURNS

Fukushima was never properly brought under control. There are many reasons for this, but the most fundamental one is that the Japanese government left the job to the owner of the site, Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO).

However, TEPCO was not the victim of an unforeseeable event – although the earthquake was exceptionally strong – but rather was guilty of a long list of blunders, encompassing planning, design and, especially, maintenance, through to poor response to the actual event.

It was incapable, from every point of view, of dealing with the aftermath, as should have been obvious at the time, and many observers said as much. But the incompetent Japanese government left the incompetent Japanese utility company in charge of dealing with a mega-disaster that should have become a global effort, but it couldn’t, because then the Japanese would “lose face.”

HOW THE ARAL SEA WAS DELIBERATELY DESTROYED

The Aral Sea - A beautiful lake full of life was turned into a moonscape in only a few years.  In the name of economic progress.

The Aral Sea is situated in Central Asia, between the Southern part of Kazakhstan and Northern Uzbekistan.  Up until the third quarter of the 20th century it was the world's fourth largest saline lake.

 

The two rivers that feed it are the Amu Darya and Syr Darya rivers, respectively reaching the Sea through the South and the North.

 

The Soviet government decided in the 1960s to divert those rivers so that they could irrigate the desert region surrounding the Sea in order to favor agriculture rather than supply the Aral Sea basin.

 

Disaster ensued.

ECOCIDE - THE MURDER OF THE ARAL SEA

 

The destruction of what was once the 4th largest inland sea in the world was premeditated and deliberate, a result of Soviet central planners deciding to turn the deserts and arid steppes of Uzbekistan and Kazahkstan into cotton plantations for export.

Consequently, the economy as well as the ecology of the area collapsed:

* Commercial fish catch went from roughly 48,000 metric tons in 1957 to zero in 1982.

 * The canning industry that depended on the catch collapsed, which had at its peak employed 60,000 people.

* The muskrat farming industry died (along with the muskrats), which had previously provided skins and were used in making hats.

* Of the 24 species of fish that used to live in the sea, only one survives (barely) in the Small Sea in the north.

* 173 animal species once lived in the two delta regions; 38 remained by 1988.

* Due to the loss of moisture in the air from the sea, summer temperatures have increased ~1.5C and winter temperatures have dropped an equal amount. As a result, the growing season in the area has been reduced by 10 days, forcing some commercial farmers to switch from cotton to rice (further exacerbating the water demand in the region).

*From 1960 to 1980, livestock pastures and hayfield areas under cultivation had shrunk by 81%, and yields halved.

* By 2005, hay yields in the region were 22 times less than 1960 levels.

OCEAN ECOCIDE - MILLIONS OF FISH DYING ALL OVER THE PLANET - DOLPHINS TOO

There have been so many environmental disasters lately that it's hard to pinpoint a single cause for the fish die offs.  There is only one ocean, and the poisons dumped into the Gulf after the oil spill, and the ongoing radioactive ecocide perpetrated by Japan's Fukushima nuclear plant dumping tons of radioactive waste into the ocean every day are bound to have an impact. 

 

(DAILY SHEEPLE)  Millions upon millions of fish are suddenly dying in mass death events all over the world, and nobody seems to know why it is happening. 

In many of the news reports that are linked to below, locals are quoted as saying that they have never seen anything like this before. So is there a connection between all of the fish deaths that are now occurring all over the planet? 

If there is a connection, is there anything that we can do to stop the fish die-off?  Sadly, because the big mainstream news networks in the United States have been virtually silent about this phenomenon, most Americans have absolutely no idea that it is happening. 

Millions of fish are dying in mass death events every single month and most of the public is totally clueless. Please share the list posted below with as many people as you can.

DOLPHINS DYING IN US EAST COAST

Virus has been found in some of them, but the real cause may be a weakened immune system  due to toxic pollution in ocean waters.

 

(NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC)  Bottlenose dolphins are washing up dead in unusually high numbers along the U.S. East Coast this summer—a "very alarming" situation that has experts scrambling to decipher the cause.
