Couple's wedding photos are ruined by a pair of photobombing cows in Canada who look like they've already started their honeymoon
Jenessa and Brad McKillen had their wedding photo-shoot photobombed by two cows in the act of making love behind them on a farm in Ontario, Canada. The couple decided to partake in a shoot at the bride's family farm when during the session, photographer Rebecca Sprau suggested that the pair pose in front of the cows, adding a hint of variety to the shoot. As Rebecca started to shoot the couple, though, she burst out laughing as she witnessed the frisky cows' sudden antics.
The Newshub news service reported Tuesday that the two cows and a calf were rescued after a farmer and some helpers dug a track to them and brought them out. The farmer, who was not named by Newshub, said the cows were desperate for water after they were rescued. He said the quake fault line ran right beneath his farm, which had been relatively flat before the earthquake. CTV News

Cows can get contaminated with prions from the grass they eat, and then pass it on to humans.
Studies show that prions can bind to plants and be taken into the roots, where they may travel to the stem and leaves.
Neither washing nor cooking plants will eliminate the contamination.
Just as cooking contaminated beef did not halt the spread of bovine spongiform encephalopathy (mad cow disease), another prion-caused disease
Keeping cervids out of grazing or growing fields could help mitigate the contamination.
Prions have been held responsible for a number of degenerative brain diseases, including mad cow disease, Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease, fatal familial insomnia, kuru, and an unusual form of hereditary dementia known as Gertsmann-Straeussler-Scheinker disease.

Virology Blog -Chronic wasting disease is a prion disease of cervids (deer, elk, moose) that is potentially a threat to human health. A role for environmental prion contamination in transmission is supported by the finding that plants can take up prions from the soil and transmit them to animals. A concern is that prions of chronic wasting disease could be transmitted to cows grazing in pastures contaminated by cervids. Consumption of infected cows would then pass the disease on to humans. When deer are fed prions they excrete them in the feces before developing clinical signs of infection, and prions can also be detected in deer saliva. In the laboratory, brain homogenates from infected deer can transmit the disease to cows. To determine whether prions can enter plants, wheat grass roots and leaves were exposed to brain homogenates from hamsters that had died of prion disease.
Fast friends: Ontario, Canada, SPCA seeks home for a horse and alpaca who have strong bond.
George the alpaca is the protector, the horse whisperer.
Lexi is a nervous mare who is afraid of people and other animals.
They are inseparable. They were brought together into a foster farm recently on the advice of veterinary doctors.
The Ontario SPCA is making a plea to any animal lovers who would be willing to adopt both a horse and an alpaca who've lived together for some time and become inseparable friends.
In a Facebook post, the animal agency said they are seeking a home for George, a male adult alpaca, and Lexi, a nine-year-old Belgian-Clydesdale mixed mare.
According to the animal welfare agency, Lexi is not yet broken in, and is nervous.

At this time celebration it is important to remind ourselves that the animals we consume come to us after a short life of extreme abuse and inhumane methods of slaughter. Please, let's give God thanks by being kind to His animal creatures and abstaining from being indirect participants in the cruelty perpetrated by farms and slaughterhouses.
Nearly 1 million chickens and turkeys are unintentionally boiled alive each year in U.S. slaughterhouses,
often because fast-moving lines fail to kill the birds before they are dropped into scalding water, Agriculture Department records show.
USDA inspectors assigned to the plants say much of the cruel treatment they witness is tied to the rapid pace at which employees work, flipping live birds upside down and shackling their legs. If the birds are not properly secured, they might elude the automated blade and remain alive when they enter the scalder. HIDDEN VIDEO SHOWS SADISTIC TORTURE OF TURKEYS
AT HYBRID TURKEY FARM IN CANADA
Disturbing video showing employees of one of the world's leading turkey producers clubbing, kicking and otherwise abusing the hapless birds is evidence of a culture of cruelty and neglect at the factory farm, an animal-rights group said.
Footage also shows workers apparently crushing the spines of birds while others are left to die from festering and bloody wounds.
A Mercy For Animals investigator exposed rampant animal cruelty at Butterball again. This time the abuse occurred at a turkey hatchery in North Carolina.
Hidden-camera video reveals baby turkeys having their sensitive toes and beaks cut and burned off without any painkillers, workers callously throwing and dropping these fragile animals, and sick or injured birds being thrown into a pit to be ground up alive.
News of this shocking investigation broke first on Univision's top-rated news program, Primer Impacto, reaching millions of Spanish-speaking Americans.
The revenge of the bull: Spanish spectator is gored and trampled after throwing a bottle of water at the beast at bull-run event
Bull turned on tormentor at taunting event in Spain
Jose Briseon, 51, threw a bottle of water at the enraged animal
Bull tossed Mr Briseon on its horns, gored him and trampled him
A Spanish man is recovering from serious injuries after a bull-taunting backfired and the beast turned on him. Jose Briseon, 51, had been standing by the sidelines of a bull-run in Duenas, in the northern Spanish province of Palencia, when he decided to throw a bottle of water at the raging animal. Footage from the event shows how the bull turns on Mr Briseon, tosses him up, gores him on his horns and tramples him.
Spectator Amandio Frias said: ‘The man was tossed around by the bull and was screaming in pain as horrified spectators watched on helpless. ‘He was one of several tormenting the bull and trying to get the bull to notice him. ‘Unfortunately for him, the bull really did notice him and gave him his full attention,’ he added.
You're the purrrfect stablemate! Amorous tabby cat rubs up to its horse friend.
They say opposites attract - and an amorous tabby cat and horse go a way to prove the theory. The two animals, who live on a farm in Brussels, Belgium, were filmed sharing a moment of affection together.

A few days I posted a story of a pig in China in similar circumstances. This news story is about a pig in South America. Not the same pig and not the same truck, as you can see from pictures and video.
A cow rescued from a neglectful animal hoarder is now free to roam her California ranch, but whatever you do don't call her a heifer. Milkshake, as she's called, believes she a dog.
Beth DiCaprio at the Grace Foundation says the cow trots around the El Dorado Hills ranch along with her canine best friend and even refuses to eat grass like her bovine relatives. Milkshake is still not convinced she is a cow and has never been a fan of grazing,' DiCaprio told Caters.
The 1,200 pound Hereford heifer was taken in by the Grace Foundation -- a non-profit that usually only fosters needy horses -- after she was rescued from an animal hoarder who kept her locked in a cage. 'When Milkshake first arrived at the ranch she didn't even know what grass was,' said DiCaprio.
This little piggy will not be going to market after escaping from a moving truck on the way to a slaughterhouse. The sow, who has since been nicknamed Babe, after the Hollywood film, was captured jumping 16ft to freedom in south China. A witness said the pig climbed over the backs of her fellow porkers before leaping out of the slaughterhouse van.
Miraculously she escaped unhurt and has now been adopted by police who responded to the incident in the Guangxi region. ‘She was safe and sound after her leap,’ said a police spokesman, ‘but found herself lost in the big city.
‘If we hadn’t have got to her he would have undoubtedly found himself at the end of a blade wielded by a local who would have enjoyed pork for days to come.’ He added: ‘She saw one chance of freedom by clambering on the backs of the other pigs and took it. ‘She deserves her chance of life and she has got it. She will never be eaten here.’
Babe is being kept at the police station and is living happily in a pen usually reserved for a police dog.
