Quackers or the paw-fect friendship? Dog and duck who had an unlikely friendship at animal shelter are adopted together

A dog and his unlikely best friend will be able to continue their friendship after being adopted from a Texas shelter together.

Sirence the dog and his best friend Thing Two the duck were adopted together on Thursday. The shelter didn’t want to separate them and hoped a loving family would be willing to take them both.

Up until recently, the bonded pair, who arrived together at the Garland Animal Shelter in Texas, had been hoping to find a new family that would take them both.

A Garland shelter worker told FOX 5 that the shelter is happy to see any animals adopted out but in cases like this, when two animals are bonded, it becomes an 'ultimate goal' to get them adopted together.

Volunteers said they're sad to see them go but are happy they're going together.
