Cato sits at the window purring while waiting for his owner to return home

He notices owner approach with a pooch and looks at the camera in horror

Suddenly he begins screeching in disgust as owner attempts to calm him

The video was posted to YouTube by the cat's owner, Kerry Gillette, a primary care physician assistant at Unity Healthcare in Washington DC.

Writing alongside the clip, Kelly said: 'This is how Cato, our cat, expressed his feelings about us bringing a new dog into the family.
