  • Team of 13 scientists and technicians are spending 14 months at a research base in world's southernmost continent
  • These intimate pictures show how the British Antarctic Survey team at station Halley VI have found ways to relax
  • The 1,510 metre sq base features a library, a TV room, a gym, and a communal area with a pool table and dartboard
  • Workers are pictured snowboarding, eating pizza, playing darts, abseiling and ice climbing to pass the time
  • £26m pound modular complex also has its own live-in chef who prepares regular meals for those living onboard
