These ninja-like squirrels went nuts as they tussled in a dramatic aerial duel.

Amateur photographer Martin Docker, 47, from Isle of Dogs, east London, spotted the pair going toe-to-toe in his back garden and grabbed his camera to capture the titanic tussle.

One of the squirrels seemingly lets out a howl as the other takes a kick while he is strewn on the lawn of Martin's garden

The maintenance worker captured the duo appearing to fly through the air to land roundhouse kicks, wrestling-style spear moves and judo-esque throws.
And he was thrilled when he saw his snaps packed a punch.

Martin said a family of squirrels regularly visit his garden. He said: 'When I looked out the window they were just going completely nuts'

Martin said: 'I'm always out and about taking photos and I have lots of bird, foxes and other animals running around the garden but this time the wildlife came to me.

'I have a family of squirrels in the garden and when I looked out the window they were just going completely nuts.

'So I grabbed my camera and jumped out the window and started shooting - I wasn't able to get as close as I would have liked as I didn't want to scare them off.

'I was in the right place at the right time and the photos are full of action.'

One of the squirrels appears to take a bite out of the other one (pictured), causing the rodent to let out a squeal

Enthusiast snapper Martin shared the images online earlier this month and said the reaction to the photos, which were taken with a Canon 7D Mark I camera and a 100-400mm Canon lens, gave him plenty of kicks.

Martin said: 'The ninja comparison came right away as I'm into martial arts and I like watching martial arts so that made the photos quite special.

'My favourite photo is the one where they are both airborne because it is what it is really - it's got a nice bit of action and plenty going on.

'I was very pleased with the photos actually when I first looked back at them and all the people who have seen them have been quite complimentary about them.'
