That's a bear-back ride! Cute polar bear cub clings on for dear life as he hitches a lift on his mum's back

Photographer Daisy Gilardini waited for 117 hours to capture the images in Wapusk National Park, Canada

She had to contend with winds of 70km/h outside the den

The cub was on one of its first trips outside the den, and the pair were presumably foraging for food

The four-month-old baby bear must have had some tired paws as it opted for a ride instead of walking during what was one of its first trips out of the den.

Polar bear cubs and their mother usually spend the first three months of their lives in a den. The two had only just come out into the wild and were presumably foraging for food to hunt.
