Lawmakers declare vaccines essential to national security after taking money from Big Pharma

Politicians from both sides of the aisle unequivocally throw their support behind the so-called "Vaccines Save Lives" agenda, which is right now pushing to eliminate vaccine exemptions and force everyone in America to get vaccinated.

 

According to The Hill, more than 90 members of Congress have signed onto the resolution which, while it isn't binding in any sort of legal sense, represents the first shot fired in a brewing war against medical freedom.

 

The top financial contributors to Congress during the 2013-2014 session, according to OpenSecrets.org, include Pfizer Inc., Amgen Inc., Merck & Co., Abbott Laboratories, AstraZeneca PLC, Eli Lilly & Co., Sanofi, AbbVie Pharmaceuticals, Johnson & Johnson, GlaxoSmithKline, United Therapeutics, Novartis AG, Genentech Inc., Novo Nordisk and Allergan Inc. -- these are all companies that produce drugs and vaccines.

The mainstream media, the federal government and even some medical professionals are all calling for vaccine exemptions to be eliminated, and this resolution backs that sentiment.

 

"If passed, this resolution will bolster the current backlash against vaccine exemptions and pave the way for states' efforts to mandate universal vaccinations," explains the Alliance for Natural Health USA.

 

The absurdly titled "Vaccines Save Lives" initiative declares into existence an alternate universe in which vaccines are 100% safe and effective. Introduced by Representatives Adam Schiff (D-Calif.), Charlie Dent (R-Penn.), Thomas Marino (R-Penn.) and Peter Welch (D-Vt.), the resolution "affirms [that] vaccines and immunizations save lives and are essential to maintain the public health, economic and national security of the people of the United States."

 

Dr. Richard Pan, the pediatrician and Senator currently spearheading legislation in California to eliminate vaccine exemptions, has also been exposed as accepting money directly from Merck, the manufacturer behind the MMR vaccine for measles.

 

Even more absurd than the resolution itself are specific claims contained within it that "there is no credible evidence to show that vaccines cause life-threatening or disabling diseases in healthy children or adults." This statement is patently false, contradicted both by the medical literature and the package inserts included with vaccines by their respective manufacturers.

 

The official package insert for the MMR II vaccine,^[PDF] manufactured by Merck and administered to prevent measles, lists the following adverse effects, including "life-threatening or disabling diseases," observed in conjunction with the jab:

 

• Panniculitis (inflammation of the subcutaneous fat layer below the skin)

• Atypical measles (yes, the MMR vaccine can cause and spread non-wild-type measles)

• Vasculitis (inflammation of the blood vessels)

• Pancreatitis (inflammation of the pancreas)

• Diabetes mellitus

• Thrombocytopenia (low blood platelet count)

• Anaphylaxis (whole-body allergic reaction)

• Arthritis

• Encephalitis (inflammation and swelling of the brain)

• Febrile convulsions

• Aseptic meningitis

• Pneumonia

• Retinitis (inflammation of the retina of the eye)

• Epididymitis (inflammation of the coiled tube at the back of the testicle that stores and carries sperm)

• Death

 

Literally every other vaccine currently on the market comes with a manufacturer-issued package insert like this one that lists some or all of these same adverse events as possible consequences of vaccination. Are Dent, Schiff and all the others onboard with the "Vaccines Save Lives" resolution completely oblivious to this fact, or is their thinking being clouded by their campaign donors?

Congress needs to hear from you! It is critical that any legislation trying to eliminate vaccine exemptions, like SB 277 in California, be stopped:  LegInfo.ca.gov.

The pro-vaccination wave is so strong that even a usually independent thinker such as Rand Paul - who questions vaccines safety - succumbed to it and had a photo of himself getting vaccinated!

Our bodies and minds are the ultimate barrier for the state's push for complete control of our lives.   They belong to us, not to the government.

The state, however, feels entitled to impose violations of our bodies, such as X-Ray machines at airports.  But to a certain extent most of us have the choice of using air travel or not. 

Not so with vaccines.  Not anymore.  Adults and children are being coerced to submit to vaccinations. 

Children are increasingly denied access to school unless they are vaccinated.  Home schooling is not an option for most parents, and it is heavily discouraged by the state.

 

Health workers are being forced to submit to vaccinations of questionable usefulness (such as the latest batch of flu vaccines), and that may entail potential danger to their health.

Science is demonstrating evidence of the risk of vaccines, while the media has a blackout on these studies:

Scientists in Denmark said they had found genetic clues to explain why a small number of children have febrile seizures—brief convulsions—after receiving the MMR vaccine.

Chris Christie unwittingly ignited a firestorm earlier this week when he responded to a reporter’s question in Great Britain about forced vaccinations of children in New Jersey by suggesting that the law in the U.S. needs to balance the rights of parents against the government’s duty to maintain standards of public health.

Before Christie could soften the tone of his use of the word "balance," Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul jumped into the fray to support the governor. When Christie articulated the pro-balance view, he must have known that New Jersey law, which he enforces, has no balance, shows no deference to parents’ rights and permits exceptions to universal vaccinations only for medical reasons (where a physician certifies that the child will get sicker because of a vaccination) or religious objections. Short of those narrow reasons, in New Jersey, if you don’t vaccinate your children, you risk losing parental custody of them.

 

To Paul, the issue is not science. That’s because in a free society, we are free to reject scientific orthodoxy and seek unorthodox scientific cures. Of course, we do that at our peril if our rejection of truth and selection of alternatives results in harm to others.

 

The issue, according to Paul, is: WHO OWNS YOUR BODY?

 

This is a question the government does not want to answer truthfully, because if it does, it will sound like Big Brother in George Orwell’s novel “1984.” That’s because the government believes it owns your body.

Paul and no less an authority than the U.S. Supreme Court have rejected that concept.

 

Under the natural law, because you retain the rights inherent in your birth that you have not individually given away to government, the government does not own your body. Rather, you do. And you alone can decide your fate with respect to the ingestion of medicine.

 

What about children? Paul argues that parents are the natural and legal custodians of their children’s bodies until they reach maturity or majority, somewhere between ages 14 and 18, depending on the state of residence.

 

What do the states have to do with this? Under our Constitution, the states, and not the federal government, are the guardians of public health. That is an area of governance not delegated by the states to the feds. Of course, you’d never know this to listen to the debate today in which Big Government politicians, confident in the science, want a one-size-fits-all regimen.

 

Paul’s poignant question about who owns your body -- and he would be the first to tell you that this is not a federal issue -- cannot be ignored by Christie or Clinton or any other presidential candidate. If Paul is right, if we do own our bodies and if we are the custodians of our children’s bodies until they reach maturity, then we have the right to make health care choices free from government interference, even if our choices are grounded in philosophy or religion or emotion or alternative science.

 

But if Paul is wrong, if the government owns our bodies, then the presumption of individual liberty guaranteed by the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution has been surreptitiously discarded, and there will be no limit to what the government can compel us to do or to what it can extract from us -- in the name of science or any other of its modern-day gods.
