HILARIOUS PICTURES OF SOAKING WET PUPPIES SHAKING TO DRY THEMSELVES OFF - Also pictures of grown dogs doing the same thing.

Shaking things pup! Soaking wet dogs dry themselves off in series of hilarious slow-motion images that capture every wiggle.

  • Carli Davidson from Portland recruited 100 puppies aged from just four weeks to one-year for the project
  • And when they weren't being photographed they were causing chaos, chewing shoelaces and peeing on equipment
  • The hardest challenge, Ms Davidson said, was having to 'resist becoming a puppy hoarder myself'

  • Eye really hate this: A puppy's eyes roll back in its head as it swings its face side to side, in one of the images from Shake Puppy

Drip dry: A schnauzer tips its head to the side as water drips from its floppy ears on to the ground; 100 dogs took part in the photo shoot

Get my best side: Ms Davidson visited pet owners and rescue shelters to find her furry subjects and in the process even took one in

Do you mind? A puppy looks bemused by the photo shoot and appears to be asking for some privacy while it dries off

Naughty: Ms Davidson said when the puppies weren't attacking shoelaces, or reliving themselves on camera bags they were falling asleep under the warm lights; nevertheless, she said they were easier to photograph than adult dogs

Baby baths: The puppies involved in the project were aged from just four weeks to a year-old, so couldn't be cuter

Most of the pictures were taken with a Nikon D4, which shoots 10 frame per second

Wild thing: I appear to have shaken all the hair off my body

The native of Portalnd, Oregon, said 'My own dog shaking inspired me. He shakes a lot. I clean a lot of drool off my walls; he's a mastiff!

Stare crazy: This dog has shaken itself so hard it's gone cross-eyed

The project started in 2011 and was dubbed Shake. The pictures were posted online and quickly spread virally, garnering millions of views worldwide

Awww yessss: Churchill should have insured those slobber chops

Carli said: 'After seeing the first few images, I realised that what I was capturing was something playful, light-hearted and somewhat bizarre'

Ears looking at you, kid: The long ears on this spaniel means it just needs a gentle swish to create a great Shake picture

She has compiled 61 of her furry friends in a new book called Shake

YES, THERE IS A DOG UNDER ALL THAT TANGLED FUR

Is it a mop? Is it a plate of spag bol? No it's completely barking

Carli said: 'I didn't know what to expect when I did the first shoot'
