PALESTINIANS MAY HAVE USED THEIR EMBASSY IN PRAGUE FOR ARMS SMUGGLING - PRAGUE MAYOR SAYS PALESTINIANS NO LONGER WELCOME IN THE CITY

Some 70 firearms alleged to have been found in the new embassy building.

Palestinians may have used the Czech Republic for weapons transit, said former Czech Chief of Staff. reacting to the unregistered weapons the police uncovered in the aftermath of an accidental explosion that killed the Palestinian ambassador in his embassy. Those weapons could have been used for acts of terrorism.

I'm horrified, said the former official. This is a blatant violation of diplomatic norms and habits and also of security rules, he added.

He also said he did not believe the story about an exploding safe. He said the ambassador clearly died manipulating explosives.
