ARSENIC IN GERMAN BEERS
Arsenic enters the beer through the filtration process, and Germany is not the only country to have this toxic heavy metal in beer.

"Long-term exposure to arsenic from drinking-water and food can cause cancer and skin lesions. It has also been associated with developmental effects, cardiovascular disease, neurotoxicity and diabetes."

Germans consume 107 liters of beer per capita a year, the second highest in the world after the Czechs with 132 liters. The United States is 12th with 78 liters, and Canada 23rd with 68.
