The fairytale-like moment a wild stag gently took some food from a little girl's hand has been captured in a magical set of images taken by the child's mum.
Little Barbara Irwin, two, can be seen feeding the imposing animal in Phoenix Park in Dublin, Ireland, in a touching and atmospheric scene which wouldn't look out of place in a Disney film.
In the photographs, the toddler can be seen eating a piece of carrot with the deer patiently waiting beside her for his piece before tenderly taking the snack when she offers it to him.

The scene was caught on camera by Barbara's watchful mum Wiktoria Irwin, who had taken her children on a visit to the park where the deer are known for interacting with families.

The Irwin family.
Wiktoria, 33, who is originally from Poland, was at the park with her Irish husband Ronan, and their three children Amelia, 10, three-year-old Michael and Barbara.
