The White House sides with Palestinian terror and interferes with US court judicial judgment
Sbarro terror attack
By Tova Dvorin, Arutz Sheva

The Obama administration has asked a judge Monday to “carefully consider” the size of the bond demanded from the Palestinian Authority (PA) for its role orchestrating years of terror attacks against Israelis and Jews.

In this way it is directly interfering in a US court case.

In February, the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) - the terror group behind the PA - was found liable to pay $218.5 million to victims of terror, a figure that was set to be tripled to $655.5 million according to the anti-terrorism laws under which the case was brought.

Legal rights group Shurat Hadin (Israel Law Center) helped represent the 11 families who charge the PA and PLO of inciting, supporting, planning and executing the seven terror attacks which killed American citizens between 2000 and 2004.
In May, the PA admitted it cannot pay such a hefty fine, however - as it is struggling under billions of debt despite an ongoing stream of aid from Israel and other countries - and called the case "political extortion."
Palestinian Authority has no money?
particularly from the US and EU because they not only kill Jews, but also claim Jewish land for the creation of another Arab terror state aimed at the destruction of ISRAEL.  The world encourages and rewards that.
Now, US President Barack Obama is reportedly seeking to lower that fine - following a series of conflicts between officials from the State Department and the Justice Department over the issue, an official involved in the case told the New York Times Tuesday.
In a document entitled “Statement of Interest of the United States of America," the Obama administration expressed concerns over the payments hurting the PA's basic government services.

Paying for government services?

The Palestinian authority spends a significant proportion of international aid to pay salaries to terrorists or to their families.  The more Jews they kill, the higher the salary.

Forcing the PLO to pay “a significant portion of its revenues would likely severely compromise the P.A.’s ability to operate as a governmental authority,” deputy Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken wrote. “A P.A. insolvency and collapse would harm current and future U.S.-led efforts to achieve a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict."

Blinken stressed in the document, however, that the State Department allegedly values the rights of terror victims to seek "just compensation" and was not taking a position on the case itself, only on the high bond.
“The United States strongly supports the rights of victims of terrorism to vindicate their interests in federal court and to receive just compensation for their injuries,” Blinken claimed.
Justice Department officials have maintained throughout the proceedings that any State Department interference in the case would interfere with the victims' rights for compensation and justice.

Leaked documents raise anger
 over Palestinian corruption

  • One document, by adviser to President Abbas, asks for $4 million for private building complex
  • Another seeks funds for daughter's private school
  • Outrage spreads on social media, with comments slamming "rampant corruption, mismanagement and nepotism."
  • PA chastised for failing to publish financial reports properly and on time, while not overseeing some 20 government-run funds headed by executives with excessive salaries
Documents leaked online detailing two attempts by Palestinian officials to misuse public funds have triggered outrage, highlighting the corruption and mismanagement critics say remains rampant in the Palestinian Authority government.

The furor over the documents comes as the Palestinian economy is stagnating and Palestinians grow increasingly displeased with government services. Palestinian Authority officials have defended their record on stamping out corruption, saying they have recovered millions of dollars in misspent funds.

A senior PA official, speaking on condition of anonymity as he was not allowed to discuss the leak, confirmed the documents' authenticity to The Associated Press.
The documents offer a rare glimpse into the wheeling and dealing of the PA government, long bogged down by rivalries.

One document, signed by Majdi al-Khaldi, a diplomatic adviser to PA President Mahmoud Abbas who accompanies him on his trips to world capitals, asked Bahrain's foreign minister for $4 million to fund a private neighborhood complex for Palestinian officials in an upscale area of Ramallah in the West Bank. He insisted the complex was "meant to resist the Israeli settlements," even though there are no settlements where the complex was built.

It is not clear if Bahrain ever paid the money. Al-Khaldi declined to comment when reached by the AP.
The other document, by Nazmi Muhanna, general director of the Palestinian Crossing and Borders Authority, requested that the government pay for his daughter's schooling as well as medical treatment for his family in Jordan for a total of $15,000, a hefty sum for many Palestinians. Muhanna defended his demand, saying it was permitted by the PA government. The government later said it did not cover those expenses.

Outrage over the documents quickly spread on social media, where Palestinians challenged everything from their leadership's finances to its political legitimacy in the face of repeatedly delayed elections, last held in 2005.

"If Muhanna's daughter costs the Palestinian Authority 6,500 Jordanian dinars [about $9,200] in private school in Jordan, what about the poor students in government schools? Who will pay attention to them?" Mohammed Abu Allan, a Palestinian political blogger, wrote on Facebook.

Some observers say corruption has decreased since the 2004 death of Yasser Arafat. Abbas has promised reforms, but he has been criticized for ignoring corruption among his loyalists while targeting political rivals.
Azmi Shoabi, the head of Aman, a branch of the corruption watchdog Transparency International, said "there are big black holes" in the Palestinian financial and administrative system that "need to be addressed and reformed." Those include failing to publish financial reports properly and on time while not overseeing some 20 government-run funds headed by executives with excessive salaries, he said.

Various public departments have become "private kingdoms" for some officials, Shoabi said.

The Palestinian parliament, which has limited oversight powers, has been defunct since 2007, when the Islamic terrorist group Hamas' violently ousted Abbas' government in Gaza.

Rafeq Natsheh, who heads the Palestinian anti-corruption commission, said that the body is fighting against graft and has recovered millions of stolen dollars. But for Palestinians, the leaked documents only reinforced perceptions that their government remains tainted.
"We need to see the real picture, which is much bigger than the fees of Muhanna's daughter," Rami Mehdawi, a columnist for the Palestinian Al-Ayyam newspaper, wrote on Facebook. "The entire Palestinian system needs to be addressed and reformed to clean up the rampant corruption, mismanagement and nepotism."

Ted Cruz: Iranian Deal Makes Obama “Leading Financier of Terrorism Against Americans in the World”
Ted Cruz joined Megyn Kelly to discuss Barack Obama’s sham nuclear agreement with the Iranian regime.

Cruz said the deal makes Obama the leading financier of terrorism against Americans in the world.

This deal ensures that Iran, either number one will acquire nuclear weapons or number two, will necessitate military action from the United States or Israel.
In addition to that, if this deal goes through and I hope that Congress steps up and stops it, billions of dollars will flow from the United States of America to Iran, the leading state sponsor of terrorism in the world.
That money will be spent by jihadist terrorists to murder Americans, to murder Israelis, to murder Europeans.
If this deal goes through the Obama administration the leading financier of terrorism against Americans in the world. I’ve heard this referred to before as the “Jihadist Stimulus Bill.”

Fact Check: Is Obama administration a State Sponsor of Terrorism?

SENATOR TED CRUZ:  "If this deal goes through the Obama administration becomes the leading financier of terrorism against Americans in the world."

By Daniel Greenfield,
Frontpage Magazine

Obama made headlines by complaining that Republicans are being mean to him over the Iran deal.
“We’ve had a sitting senator call John Kerry ‘Pontius Pilate.’ We’ve had a sitting senator who also happens to be running for president suggest that I’m the leading state sponsor of terrorism,” Obama said, referring to Sens. Tom Cotton of Arkansas and Ted Cruz of Texas, respectively. “These are leaders in the Republican Party.”
But, the president said, when he is attacked, the people who were outraged on McCain’s behalf “are pretty quiet.”
Let's look at the facts.
"If this deal goes through the Obama administration becomes the leading financier of terrorism against Americans in the world. I’ve heard this referred to before as the “Jihadist Stimulus Bill.”
Is Iran a state sponsor of terrorism? Obama has admitted that it is.
"Iran is a state sponsor of terrorism," Obama told Asharq al-Awsat.
Will the billions of dollars that Iran receives be used to sponsor terror? The Supreme Leader of Iran has stated that it will.
Iran's Supreme Leader Khamenei gave a particularly inflammatory speech just days after the deal, stating that the Islamic Republic's policies toward the US have not changed.
"We will never stop supporting our friends in the region and the people of Palestine, Yemen, Syria, Iraq, Bahrain and Lebanon," he continued, referring to the Iranian terror axis in the Middle East. "Even after this deal our policy towards the arrogant US will not change."
Secretary of State John Kerry has admitted that it will.
"Now, with respect to the money, I can’t tell you that some — you know, some amount of money might not find its way to some effort."
And that's out of $140 billion. Some money out of that is a whole lot.
1. Obama admitted Iran is a state sponsor of terrorism
2. Kerry admitted that sanctions relief will be used to sponsor terrorism
So in fact Obama's policies will lead to a huge sum of money flowing into a regime that he has admitted is a state sponsor of terrorism and which his Secretary of State has admitted will be used to sponsor terrorism.
Ted Cruz is clearly correct.
Obama can whine about the "tone" and the "rhetoric", but it's hypocritical for a guy whose proxies were accusing Republicans in the Senate of being the #47Traitors of complaining about the tone of the attacks over Iran.

OBAMA REGIME took Iran and Hezbollah
 off the terrorist list
March 16, 2015 - The U.S. intelligence community’s Worldwide Threat Assessment removed Iran and its proxy Hezbollah from the list of terror threats to the United States.
Breitbart  The annual assessment of the intelligence community, which is released by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, led by General James Clapper, backed away from years of precedent when the decision was made to remove Iran and Hezbollah from the terrorism threats list, The Times of Israel reports.
Outside of the politically correct verbiage and categorization issues (such as replacing the term “jihadist” with “violent extremist”), the report reveals that the intelligence community believes Tehran presents a persistent, significant threat to the United States.

The report reveals that Iran presents a significant threat to the United States: “The Islamic Republic of Iran is an ongoing threat to US national interests because of its support to the Assad regime in Syria, promulgation of anti-Israeli policies, development of advanced military capabilities, and pursuit of its nuclear program.”
With regard to Iran’s WMD (Weapons of Mass Destruction) program, the report states: “We continue to assess that Iran’s overarching strategic goals of enhancing its security, prestige and regional influence have led it to pursue capabilities to meet its civilian goals and give it the ability to build missile-deliverable nuclear weapons.”
“Iran does not face any insurmountable technical barriers to producing a nuclear weapon,” the Worldwide Threats Assessment adds.
The assessment on Iran’s WMD program ends with a startling conclusion about Iran’s ballistic missile advances. The report adds:
We judge that Tehran would choose ballistic missiles as its preferred method of delivering nuclear weapons, if it builds them. Iran’s ballistic missiles are inherently capable of delivering WMD, and Tehran already has the largest inventory of ballistic missiles in the Middle East. Iran’s progress on space launch vehicles—along with its desire to deter the United States and its allies—provides Tehran with the means and motivation to develop longer-range missiles, including intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs).
In the cyber realm, the DNI Threat Assessment warns that Iran has “undertaken offensive cyber operations against private sector targets to support their economic and foreign policy objectives.”
Although the intelligence community report confusingly removed Iran from its list of terrorism threats, Iran’s intentions and capabilities are still presented as one of the foremost threats to the United States.

Obama versus the Jews

By Daniel Greenfield, Frontpage Magazine
It was his birthday and Obama was grouchy.
“It’s my birthday and I’m going to be blunt,” Obama told the Jewish leaders meeting with him. When they complained that, “Words have consequences, and when they come from official sources, they can be even more dangerous,” he was unapologetic.
“If you guys would back down, I would back down from some of the things I’m doing,” he warned.
By that he meant that if they stopped objecting to the Iran deal, he would stop accusing critics of his nuclear sellout to Iran of being money-grubbing warmongers.
Obama complained, “It's been a really busy day. You'd think they'd be nicer to me on my birthday.”
Shortly after his meeting with Jewish leaders, he and his close Iranian-born adviser Valerie Jarrett skipped the line at Rose’s and got the party started.
On the next day, Obama blasted Republican opponents as treasonous allies of those who chant “Death to America,” even though he was the one who had actually made common cause with Iran’s regime.
The day after that, Senator Schumer called Obama to tell him he would oppose the deal and asked him to let him announce it on Friday.
The White House instead leaked it to the Huffington Post.
The first response to Schumer’s announcement came from MoveOn, which blew the dog whistle loudly enough to be heard in the next state over, “Our country doesn’t need another Joe Lieberman in the Senate.”
The only obvious thing that both politicians had in common was that they were Jewish.
Obama had lost the argument on the facts. The majority of Americans opposed the deal by 52 to 28 percent. Even among Democrats, support stood at only 52 percent.
His game plan for winning the debate was to get as ugly and dirty as possible.
Despite having just gotten back into Iraq, after contemplating an attack on Syria and coming off an illegal assault on Libya, any Democrat opposing him risked being accused of wanting another Iraq War.
Or as White House press secretary Josh Earnest coyly put it, "This difference of opinion that emerged overnight is one that has existed between Senator Schumer and President Obama for over a decade."
Obama allies emphasized that Schumer had voted for the Iraq War. Obama was once again rerunning his old campaign against Biden and Hillary, even though one was his VP and the other his successor.
Barack Obama had already rolled out the “lonely little guy in the White House” playbook complaining about lobbies and money.
He had been irked at his representatives not getting full access to the AIPAC activists who were visiting members of Congress and was reading from Bush I’s old script.
But now he began to sound more like Pat Buchanan ranting about Israel’s “amen corner” beating the drums for war.
Having forgotten the time he sent his campaign consultants to defeat Netanyahu in the Israeli election, he complained that Netanyahu was inappropriately interfering.
During his speech, he rediscovered a love for the Constitution which he claimed obligated him to sideline Israel. Sadly he lacked the same love for the Constitution’s Treaty Clause which requires two-thirds of the Senate to ratify a treaty.
The complaints about lobbies and money sounded strange coming from a guy who had his own SuperPAC with tens of millions of dollars to spend. Behind him was a network of organizations with hundreds of millions of dollars in cash on hand and billionaire donors to donate on demand.
The Rockefeller Brothers Fund had invested a fortune into the project. Some of the money went into the Ploughshares Fund, which did its own promotion for the deal, and funneled cash to Global Zero, which released a video promoting the deal featuring Jack Black and Morgan Freeman.
His position was backed by George Soros’ J Street, an astroturfed anti-Israel group that was bringing serious money to the party.
Once Schumer came out on the deal, he was targeted by Credo Mobile and MoveOn, among other powerful left-wing groups, determined that nothing would be allowed to interfere with Iran’s nukes.
There was no shortage of lobbies and money in Obama’s corner. The citizen activists opposed to the deal might have the support of the American people, but they were outmatched by the massive wealth and infrastructure of the Democracy Alliance and Obama’s mainstream media allies.
The teachers, mothers, engineers and small businessmen could travel to Washington D.C. and complain to their Congressman. Obama could go on the Daily Show and complain about them to Jon Stewart.
There was no comparing their respective power.
And all that was without mentioning the Iran Lobby which boasted close relationships with Joe Biden and John Kerry.
Obama continued to escalate tensions with the Jewish community, even though he faced no real risk that enough Democrats would come together to override his veto.
Even Schumer’s rejection had bent over backward to praise and flatter him.
The American people might disapprove of the deal, but they had also disapproved of ObamaCare and his illegal war in Libya. And he had just rolled over them.
The administration wasn’t in this fight because it worried that it might lose. Between the GOP establishment and Obama, the game had already been rigged.
Everyone, including Schumer, would play their parts, get their applause and the agreement would move forward. Hundreds of AIPAC members lobbying a few members of Congress wouldn’t stop that. Neither would a few ads.
Even in the extremely unlikely circumstance that enough Democrats would come together to veto the deal, Obama had already told the agreement’s leading Democratic opponent in the House, “If Congress overrides my veto, you do not get a U.S. foreign policy that reflects that vote. What you get is you pass this law and I, as president, will do everything possible to go in the other direction.”
Obama would implement the deal no matter what Congress did. Iran would get its nukes.
Political Cartoons by Chip Bok
But for Obama, scowling and impatiently tapping his fingers while waiting to go for his birthday dinner, musing that he could have already been there if it wasn’t for these old white men whining to him, looking forward to his round of golf and a trip to Camp David, it had become petulantly personal.
For the left, the political is often indistinguishable from the personal, and for Obama it has always been that way. Obama’s view of government is Louis XIV’s “I am the State”. All opposition is personal. All dissent is treason. Enemies have to be punished on the principle of the thing.
It didn’t matter that the Jewish leaders had zero chance of actually stopping his agreement with Iran. Most of them didn’t even want to be there. What mattered was that they had opposed him and they had to be punished for it.
Obama had compared Americans uneasy about Iran’s “Death to America” slogan to schoolyard bullies who wanted to “smack around” the “little guy” who dared to “mouth off.”
But he was the one playing the bully, going out of his way to sow tension, using rhetoric condemned even by Jewish supporters of the deal, not because he needed it to win, but because he was angry and resentful.
Millions of Jews around the world saw the specter of an atomic cloud rising into the sky, but Obama had a birthday meal at Rose’s Luxury to go to, a round of golf to play and his feelings were being hurt and his birthday was being ruined by these annoying Jews who wouldn’t take “No” for an answer.
Obama isn’t even stirring up anti-Semitism to defend the Iran deal. He’s lashing out, accusing critics of being traitors and warmongers, because they ruined his birthday party.

President Barack Obama is using anti-Jewish language to sell the Iran deal.
Some critics made that claim a week ago, when Obama complained about “the money” and “the lobbyists” on the other side of the debate over the Iran nuclear deal. This week, Obama proved it.
On Thursday, Obama led a conference call with left-wing activists in which he repeatedly railed against his political opponents by using the old canard of rich Jews using their money to exert control.
Accusing critics of the deal of being “opposed to any deal with Iran”–i.e. of advocating war–Obama railed against “well-financed” lobbyists, as well as the “big check writers to political campaigns,” and  “billionaires who happily finance super-PACs.”
He complained about “$20 million” being spent on ads against the deal—a subtle reference to the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC–whose support he had repeatedly courted when running for office).
Some of Obama’s references were thinly-veiled attacks on specific (Jewish) individuals—columnist Bill Kristol, for example, the Weekly Standard publisher and former New York Times resident conservative who served in the George H.W. Bush administration, and also helps run the Emergency Committee for Israel, which opposes the Iran deal; or billionaire Sheldon Adelson, who is a prodigious Republican benefactor, super PAC donor, and well-known hawk on Israel issues.
On the call, Obama twice accused his opponents of being the same people “responsible for us getting into the Iraq war.“
That sweeping, and largely false, characterization of the opponents of the Iran deal repeats the sensational accusations of The Israel Lobby, a widely discredited 2007 book that accused a group of pro-Israel, and largely Jewish, individuals and organizations of pushing the U.S. into war with Iraq, and seeking to drag America into a new war with Iran.
Obama’s deliberate, and jarring, choice of words clearly worried even some sympathetic Jews.
Nathan Guttman, of the left-leaning Forward, which covers Jewish issues, wrote of the call that “what many liberals hear as a powerful rallying call to avoid entering another military quagmire in the Middle East could seem tone deaf to some in the organized Jewish community.” Obama’s claims about the Iraq War, he added, were “likely to make many in the community feel uneasy.”
Of course, there is a large, well-funded effort to oppose to the Iran deal. There is also—as the president well knows—a large, well-funded effort to support it.  The radical (pro-Obama Jewish) group J Street is spending millions on its ads; other groups have already used Hollywood stars in theirs.
There are also liberal Jews, like Times columnist Tom Friedman, who abuse the term “Israel lobby”—knowing it is a vicious slur. Presumably, that is why Obama thinks he can get away with it.
Yet a Republican who did the same thing would be criticized as antisemitic.
As the Republican Jewish Coalition noted Thursday, in a press statement objecting to Obama’s remarks, “Jewish groups—including Jewish Republicans—came down hard on the first President Bush for similar remarks.”
Indeed, Democrats spent this week bashing former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee for saying that the president “will take the Israelis and march them to the door of the oven.”
Obama himself criticized Huckabee for those remarks from abroad. Wolf Blitzer of CNN said that Huckabee had “essentially, essentially” likened Obama to Adolf Hitler. He pressed every Republican who appeared on his show to slam Huckabee.
Yet if Obama and his supporters are so concerned about comments that portray the president as an antisemite, he should stop trying to act like one. At the very least, it shows he knows he cannot defend the Iran deal on its merits.
On the call, Obama’s case for the agreement was weak.
He claimed it has the most rigorous inspections regime ever—ignoring the fact that unlike the inspections under the New START treaty, the Iran deal excludes Americans from participating.
He said that while it was possible military force might be needed if Iran raced to the bomb after the deal expired in 15 years, the U.S. would be better prepared for war then—ignoring the likelihood that Iran would be, as well.
With his peculiar mix of arrogance and self-pity, Obama told the conference call that while he had a “bully pulpit,” the fight was up to them: ”I can’t carry it by myself,” he said.
He urged them to become informed about the Iran deal. But the more Americans know about the deal, the more they reject it. So Obama is, once again, demonizing his opponents for political gain.
In his heart, Obama is probably not an antisemite. That is all the more reason to deplore what he is doing.

by sending an army of experts to lend support to the leftist coalition opposing PM Netanyahu, whom Obama regards as his arch enemy.  Senator Ted Cruz initiated a congressional investigation.

Palestinians also get a disproportionate amount of attention and COMPASSION BY AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL

Elder of Ziyon blog reports:
August 10, 2015 - On Friday, I reported that Amnesty International has been obsessed with Israel this month on their Twitter feed, and practically ignoring every real human rights issue worldwide in their singleminded pursuit of demonizing the Jewish state.
My graph went viral on Twitter.

Since then, as of this morning*, the @AmnestyOnline account has not tweeted a single thing about Israel. As of this morning there have been 18 consecutive non-Israel tweets, while for the previous month there had never been more than 4. And they have tweeted more about other topics than they had in weeks.
A first I thought it might be because of s cease fire in the Gaza war last year, but that cease fire ended on August 9.
Apparently, someone high up at Amnesty realized that this looks really bad and told the Twitter administrator to cool it, at least until they can get some of the blue bars above to go a bit higher.
Of course, no one at Amnesty has bothered to correct the many anti-Israel lies in their heralded Gaza Platform. They won't do that until the media notices and reports on their decision to build an expensive website based on provably wrong data.
