The following articles explore France's disturbing support for Palestinian terror and their financing of a pro-Hamas flotilla heading for Israel - contradicting its own situation of retreat against a wave of homebrewed Islamism and terror that has turned parts of France into no-go zones for French law enforcement.
France is also trying to push its way into a more significant role for itself in the Middle East by recognizing the non-existing state of Palestine, and by forcing the partition of Israel for the creation of another terror Arab state.
Why is France doing this? A Palestinian writer makes very good points, although he does not emphasize enough the anti-Semitic motivation behind Europe's long diplomatic war against Israel.
Behind the French "Peace Initiative"
By Palestinian journalist by Bassam Tawil
French president Hollande embraces his friend, Muslim terrorist Mahmoud Abbas at the I AM CHARLIE march in Paris held in the aftermath of the massacre of Charlie Hebdo cartoonists and in defiance of Muslim terror.
Explanation: Murdering Jews is not considered terror.
- France's "peace initiative" will not promote peace between Israel and the Palestinians.
- It is a desperate attempt by the French government to buy a few more days of quiet from its Muslim community, all waiting for the order to run riot through the streets of France.
- If it succeeds, it will lead to an ISIS and Hamas takeover of every inch of Palestinian soil from which Israel withdraws if coerced by the initiative.
- There is no logical reason to create another Muslim state while the Middle East disintegrates and goes up in flames due to Muslim-on-Muslim violence.
- The French initiative is not a benevolent gesture meant to help the Palestinians.
- The Palestinian Authority survives only thanks to Israeli support. Once that support is removed, jihadist violence and takeover is sure to ensue.
- European governments and the Vatican - in their openly anti-Israel activities - are motivated not by compassion for the Palestinians but by their need for petrodollars.
- Europe and rich Arab countries such as Qatar have found common ground in their long-held hatred against the Jews.
- This is what the French peace initiative is all about.

Bassam Tawil writes:
The latest missile to split the skies over the Middle East is not a rocket; it is the French "peace" initiative.
No one in the Middle East has the slightest doubt that whatever its objective may be.
It will not promote peace between Israel and the Palestinians.
It is a desperate attempt by the French government to buy a few more days of quiet from its Muslim community, especially from the members of the Muslim Brotherhood and the terrorist organizations to which it gave birth -- all waiting for the order to run riot through the streets of France.
We, the Palestinians, have suffered, and continue to suffer, from the creation of the Islamist terrorist organizations within the Palestinian Authority territory; it is they who keep us from reaching a peace agreement with the Jews.
One has to be deaf, dumb and blind -- or genuinely desperate, which is more likely -- to present a unilateral peace agreement like the French one.
If it succeeds, may Allah prevent it, it will lead to an ISIS and Hamas takeover of every inch of Palestinian soil from which Israel withdraws if coerced by the initiative.
One also has to be simply ignorant not to understand that the Middle East is going up in flames and that the Arab states are disintegrating.
There is no logical reason, therefore, to construct a new state, which will be both unstable and prey to local and regional subversion.
It will also be subject to a quick takeover, and the first people who will suffer will be the Palestinians in the occupied territories.
The Israelis know how to look out for themselves, but we will be left to the tender mercies of Hamas and ISIS mujahedeen.
Just as they have done in Iraq and Syria, they will slaughter us without thinking twice, on the grounds that as we did not all become shaheeds ["martyrs" for Islam] trying to kill the Zionists, and even tried to reach a peace agreement with them, we are not sufficiently Muslim.
The French initiative is not a benevolent gesture meant to help the Palestinians.
The Palestinian Authority survives only thanks to its security collaboration with Israel.
Without a doubt, the French government and its intelligence services know full well that the secret of the Palestinian Authority's existence today -- and its ability to function as a sovereign entity, demilitarized and de facto recognizing the State of Israel -- is its security collaboration with the Israelis. It serves the interests of both sides.
When, therefore, a Palestinian state is declared unilaterally, as the French propose, Israel will stop collaborating with it and the state, not even fully formed, will almost instantly fall prey to Islamist extremists.
That is obvious to us: even our institutions of higher learning are ruled by Hamas today, as can be seen by Hamas's landslide victory in the recent student elections in Bir Zeit University.
The recent visit of U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham to Israel helped the Palestinians understand even more thoroughly that behind the French initiative is an attempt, as with many members of the U.N., to "be a player."
It is evidently too frustrating and unrewarding just to sit in the U.N. and not think of some project supposedly to spread beneficence that could make your country look important to the other 190 members -- even if this beneficence is lethal to its recipient.
One way of doing spreading such beneficence is to take over the peace process through the Security Council, force both sides into a unilateral solution, and not even to feign dismay when its first victims are the Palestinians.
Senator Graham referred to the drastic nature of the initiative and stressed that the United States supported the solution of two states for two peoples, according to the vision of Israel's current Prime Minister, Binyamin Netanyahu.
It favors a demilitarized Palestinian state that would recognize Israel as a Jewish state and make it possible for everyone, both Jews and Palestinians, to live with self-respect and independence.
Graham threatened the UN, saying that if promotes the French initiative, he would bid to halt American funding for the UN -- nearly a quarter of its budget.
The discredited United Nations, accused even of perpetrating child abuse in Africa
Today, the UN's funds are twisted into sending peacekeepers, who have diplomatic immunity and therefore cannot be sued, out to Africa to demand sex, often from children, in exchange for food or other necessities; and to passing resolutions aimed at harming Israel, while the organization callously ignores floggings in Saudi Arabia, slavery in Mauritania; escalating executions, calls for genocide and violations of nuclear treaties in Iran, just for a start.
The situation is grotesque. They are basically accusing Israel of "terrorism" for defending itself against by rockets fired from Hamas, in a confrontation where Gazan children were hurt because Hamas used them as human shields -- while ignoring the real terrorism against the children of Africa committed by the U.N.'s own peacekeepers, Boko Haram, Iran and Sudan.
When they so twist logic as to accuse Israel of "terrorism," while turning their back on the horrendous abuses by other states, they are essentially giving paedophile UN "peacekeepers," Iran's torturers, executioners, and nuclear weapons factories a green light.
Graham was very clear about the American point of view. He said that any country that tried to bring Israel to the International Criminal Court in The Hague would have sanctions imposed on it by the United States.
The parade of the grotesque is the direct result of the Western surrender to Islamic terrorism.
Now, sadly, the Vatican has also joined France. The assumption that the Islamists can be pandered to and propitiated by harming the Jews is yet another prevalent misconception.
Every gesture to the Islamists, even if it is aimed at "helping" the Palestinians, sends a message of weakness and vulnerability, and increases the Islamists' aggression against Christians and other non-Muslim minorities.
In the Middle East, anyone who "turns the other cheek," such as the Pope saying that the Palestinian leader, Mahmoud Abbas, could be "an angel of peace," will find his neck under the sword.
When Byzantium fell to the Ottoman Empire, its churches, including the Hagia Sophia in Constantinople, were turned into mosques; that is the dream of the Islamists today, to turn the Vatican into a mosque.
A common scene in downtown Paris
This image is from the same day in 2014 when Muslims perpetrated a pogrom against a Paris synagogue
The dangerous European surrender to radical Islam is not only an attempt to hold off its threat to the free society of Europe just a little longer. It is also the result of the economic distress of the Western world, which is seeking to keep afloat by selling itself, literally, for petro-dollars.
The Vatican also part of the anti-Israel gang
The Vatican is in desperate financial straits -- there are fewer practicing Catholics and therefore fewer donating Catholics.
It is hard not to feel that the anti-Israel manipulations of the Vatican administration are motivated not by a genuine desire to help the Palestinians or to save Christians in the Middle East, but by a genuine desire to extricate itself from its financial straits.
Judas sold Jesus for thirty pieces of silver; Boko Haram sells girls for the price of a pack of cigarettes, and Europe is selling itself and the Israelis to Qatar.
Europe is in the same situation as the Vatican; and so are many American universities, which are selling radical Islamist education for petro-dollars from the Persian Gulf. This enables the Islamists to rewrite history and endanger the open way of life in the gullible West.
There is already a Muslim Brotherhood lobby in the United States, a syndicate trying to force the administration to undermine the current Egyptian president, who is an enemy of the murderous Muslim Brotherhood.
Their aim is to restore to power the Islamist dictator Mohamed Morsi (who is also a member of the Muslim Brotherhood), and to sabotage the measures Egypt is currently taking to rehabilitate itself.
Qatar at the center of Muslim control of Western governments and organizations
The ease with which Qatar, the petro-dollar heavyweight, manipulates terrorist organizations in the Middle East is unnerving.
The country both hosts and finances senior Muslim Brotherhood figures such as Sheikh Yusuf al-Qaradawi and others responsible for spreading the doctrine of radical Islamism and terrorism around the world.
Qatar finances a wide range of subversive Islamist terrorist organizations, among them ISIS, Al-Qaeda, Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad and various other global jihad organizations operating under the aegis of the Arab-Muslim regimes.
Qatar also seeks to carve out enclaves in Africa and the West, and to turn the West's pluralistic melting pot into a seething cauldron of terrorist operatives who will, when given the signal, bludgeon Europe and America to the ground.
The petro-dollars of the Qatari feudal lords, totalitarians who dictate their whims to a population with no rights, direct a global network of propaganda and incitement, through vehicles such as Al-Jazeera TV in Arabic, light years more toxic than Al Jazeera in English.
It crowns kings and topples regimes throughout the Middle East, as it did by endlessly replaying the self-immolation of the young Tunisian fruit vendor who could not get a license, until it whipped up the Tunisians and Egyptians to start the "Arab Spring."
Currently, Qatar is investing millions to overthrow the Egyptian regime.
It is investing millions to finance incitement among Muslims around the globe by means of its Islamist network and da'wah, the cunning preaching of the Muslim Brotherhood's variety of Islam.
The Arabs always felt that the Europeans had a soft spot in their hearts for them. They always secretly believed that anyone who hated their mutual enemies, the Jews, as deeply as the Europeans did, and who actually tried to achieve their total physical destruction during the Second World War, would be their ally and help to expel them from occupied Palestine.
Apparently, the commonly-held hatred between the Europeans and the Arabs was not enough to halt the Jews, so now the Arabs pay huge sums to bribe the leaders of Europe to help them get rid of the Jews now.
Just look at the extensive corruption of the heads of FIFA, bought and paid-for by Qatar. All it took was $100 million, and Qatar could host the World Cup. It makes one wonder what Qatar would be willing to pay for other projects, doesn't it?
French government funding
illegal anti-Israel and pro-Hamas flotilla
By Ari Soffer, Israel National News - Arutz Sheva
Gaza Flotilla turned violent in 2010, as the terror-linked crew aboard the Marmara tried to lynch Israeli soldiers who boarded the vessel to stop its illegal docking into Gaza. http://maggiesnotebook.blogspot.ca/2010/06/gaza-flotillas-al-qaeda-members-gaza.html
The Obama administration forced Israel apologize to Turkey,
for soldiers self-defense aboard the Turkish flotilla boat Marmara
- The French government continues to fund NGOs that promote Arab terror against Israel.
- The French government funds at least one NGO that aims to directly subvert and undermine Israeli government and confront Israeli servicemen, potentially violently.
- The Israeli blockade of Gaza was imposed as a result of Hamas terror rocket attacks against Israel after Israel completely vacated Gaza. There is no Israeli occupation of Gaza.
- The blockade is meant to stop the importation of weapons into Gaza. All peaceful products are allowed in.
- The blockade is completely legal, according to the United Nations' own official Palmer Report.
- Egypt too is imposing a blockade on Gaza, as its Sinai peninsula is the target of recurrent jihadist attacks originating in Gaza.
Key 'Freedom Flotilla III' organizers received roughly half a million euros from French government aid agency.
The French government is funding the Platform of French NGOs for Palestine (Plateforme des ONG françaises pour la Palestine), which is among the groups supporting the Freedom Flotilla III, seeking to defy the Israel government's blockade of the terrorist Hamas-ruled enclave.
The Platform of French NGOs for Palestine is an umbrella organization for more than 40 anti-Israel groups, and is very active in the so-called BDS (Boycott Divestment and Sanctions) movement against Israel.
Among other things, the Platform demands an end to all agreements and relations between the European Union and Israel.
It is also a regular recipient of French taxpayers' money, via the French Development Agency (Agence Française de Développement or AFD), a public aid agency which works on behalf of the French government to carry out "sustainable development programs" around the world.
Although much of the AFD's resources are devoted to projects in Sub-Saharan Africa, it also invests millions elsewhere, including the Middle East.
As recently as March 2014, the AFD approved a three-year grant of 225,000 euros to The Platform of French NGOs for Palestine.
This was not the first such grant by the AFD to the Platform; between 2010-2011 the agency donated a total of €261,200 to the group.
The single-biggest Palestinian recipient of French Development Agency is the NGO Development Center (NDC), which in 2010 received a €5,000,000 AFD grant over the course of three and a half years.
Among other things, the NDC actively works against "normalization" with Israel,
But while very notion of state funds from a supposed Israeli ally being granted to extreme anti-Israel NGOs is shocking enough, the fact that a French government agency is funding the Platform in particular means that, at this current time, the French government is supporting at least one NGO which aims to directly subvert and undermine Israeli government policy - and, in this particular case, intends to violate Israeli law and confront Israeli servicemen, potentially violently.
Israel's blockade of Gaza dates back to 2006, after Hamas kidnapped Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit, and with rocket attacks escalating against Israeli civilians in the aftermath of Israel's withdrawal from Gaza a year earlier.
The blockade was tightened in 2007 when the Islamist terrorist movement consolidated control of Gaza, using it as a launchpad for ever-more intensive rocket attacks against Israeli towns and villages.
Since then the blockade - which is meant to prevent weapons, fighters and other equipment reaching Islamist terrorist groups - has been eased considerably, although weapons are still not allowed to be trafficked in.
At the same time, a more restrictive blockade by the Egyptian military is ongoing, as Egypt seeks to cut Islamist terrorists in Gaza off from the Sinai Peninsula, where it says Hamas and other groups are helping fuel a jihadist insurgency.
Anti-Israel activists have long called for Israel's blockade to be lifted, claiming that it is "illegal." However, in 2011 the UN's official Palmer Report found that the blockade is in fact entirely legal.
BOOK - HOW TERROR-FUNDING QATAR HAS TAKEN OVER THE FRENCH GOVERNMENT
Is France betraying Israel
in favor of Qatar?
Op-ed: Is the strange French initiative to impose a Security Council resolution on a Palestinian state some kind of secret payment to the Gulf emirate, which has turned France into its playground?
By Guy Bechor
While both former French President Nicolas Sarkozy and incumbent President Francois Hollande present themselves as "friends of Israel," evidence is growing that behind the scenes they are actually betraying Israel, under an influence that smells very bad.
A thick book titled "Une France sous influence: Quand le Qatar fait de notre pays son terrain de jeu" (A France under influence: How Qatar turned out country into its playground") exposed last year the very personal relations between the French and Qatari regimes during these two presidents' terms, and asserted that since 2007, France has in fact become a satellite of Qatar, which has bought it and its discretion.
The writers, Vanessa Ratignier and Pierre Péan, demonstrate how Qatar has clearly influenced both Sarkozy and Hollande's decision making.
In an attempt to save its sinking economy, France provided its foreign policy as a guarantee to an Arab dictatorship in the Persian Gulf, which is the most hostile Arab state towards Israel and one of the supporters of terror in Syria and Iraq.
Qatar invests some $50 billion in France, and the book exposes how it funded Sarkozy's personal divorce settlement with his wife Cecilia, at a total of €3 billion, when he chose to marry Carla Bruni.
Was Israel a price demanded by the Qataris? Sarkozy pretended to be a true friend of Israel, but the WikiLeaks documents exposed this week reveal that during his presidential term he threatened the White House and pressured it not to support Israel on the Palestinian state issue – a delusion which has been preoccupying Qatar for years, as a project.
This French hypocrisy is both amazing and disappointing. That's not what we expected from this country.
Sarkozy is now busy trying to promote a Qatari representative as the next United Nations secretary-general after Ban Ki-moon's term ends.
According to media reports, Sarkozy was also one of those who supported Qatar's ambition to host the World Cup, a hosting which is now unlikely due to corruption suspicions on a global scale.
Was Sarkozy's support for Palestine's admission into UNESCO in 2011 also part of some hidden payment? France's stance at the time seemed extremely puzzling.
And Hollande, the most unpopular president in his country for decades, has been seen visiting Persian Gulf states, surrounded by giggling sheikhs.
The book asserts that Hollande is also operating under Qatar's influence, and only last month he signed a €6.3-billion deal with Qatar for the sale of French fighter jets.
And again, is Israel part of the payment to Qatar?
Is France's strange initiative at the UN Security Council, to impose the establishment of a Palestinian state, also some kind of secret payment to Qatar or Saudi Arabia?
This initiative landed like an alien, and no one understands it. Why now? And what is it driven by? We have already learned from the WikiLeaks documents that what we see from the presidential palace in Paris is not necessarily what is going on.
Therefore, from now on, we should not believe a word coming from Paris until proven otherwise. And France, which is immersed in petrodollars with a suspicious odor, should be the last one allowed to meddle in our affairs.
And as for France's citizens, who are rightfully proud of their country with its historic vision: Are you in favor of the great France being enslaved in such a shameful manner by a tiny and megalomaniac dictatorship, which just happens to have oil? Is the republic's great vision reaching such a miserable end?
