Watching politicians dismantle the country
By reading Israeli political history since the 1967 victory and daily news headlines we see how authorities have been engaged in a process of voluntary surrender and dismantlement of the country, whether they realized it or not.
It's like watching a train wreck in slow motion. Israeli politicians call it "the peace process" - and "avoiding confrontations".
The 1967 war victory liberated Jewish land from Muslim occupation while obtaining protective land buffers for the next massive Arab attack that is certain to happen in a matter of years, or a few decades at most.
But the land liberated at a time when Arab countries were intent on massacring the Jews, has been gradually surrendered to the enemy without firing a single shot.
These capitulations happened in less than fifty years, a mere blip in a Jewish history spanning almost 4000 years. Half of Jewish history was spent in exile, slavery, and the horrors of persecution and genocide. But in spite of slogans such as "Never Again", lessons were quickly forgotten - at least by those entrusted with administering the country.
They started with the handing over of Temple Mount - the most sacred Jewish site in the whole world, and where King Solomon's Temple used to be - to the Jordanians.
This was followed by the surrender of the Sinai, Gaza, and the semi-surrender of Judea and Samaria to the Palestinian Authority. The Biblical part of Jerusalem is - for all practical purposes - already in Arab hands.

There have been other smaller Jewish heritage gifts. Such as the surrender of King David's Tomb to the Vatican, and the Jerusalem Compound to the Russians.
Israel is being slowly carved up until there will be only an indefensible piece of land left, at which time the "peace process" will have been completed with the destruction of the country.

The envisioned Israel and Palestine living side by side
They call it "land for peace"
Imagine trying to maintain peace on this fragmented Israel
with Jerusalem cut in two, and jihadis everywhere.
The dangerously mediocre Israeli leadership
In spite of well-known high Jewish IQ and intellectual accomplishments, Israel has been beset by authorities embarrassingly mediocre and without vision.
Some of them on the center left and left wing of the political spectrum have been openly siding with the enemy - oblivious, apparently, to the precarious situation of tiny Israel surrounded by genocidal enemies.

Politicians who campaign advocating for the strong defense of Israel, once in power they invariably seem to morph into ghetto administrators caving in to the non-Jewish world demands.
Is it because of pressure? Weak principles? Secret modes of persuasion by the State Department? Who knows? But it happens every time.

The current PM has an aura of toughness, but he acts like a kitten whenever the White House or the Arabs apply pressure.
From declaring his full support for the partition of Israel for the creation of an Arab state, to freezing home construction for Jews but not for Arabs, to appointing left-wing pro-Arab top officials, to cracking down hard on Jews who dare to demand their rights according to the law.
He pays only lip service to what the majority of Israelis want, while negotiating away Jewish rights and sovereignty under all sorts of excuses.

While in times of war Israelis fight like lions and win against impossible odds, their authorities continue to casually treat Jewish land and heritage, civil rights, honor and self-respect as if they were merchandise to be sold and bargained in exchange for something - and sometimes for nothing at all.
The insidious erosion of Jewish rights in Israel
The violation of Jewish rights in Israel never makes the news, swamped as it is by the steady propaganda misrepresenting Israel as occupier and oppressor.
This image is bolstered by occasional military operations against Hamas and other terrorists. These operations also serve to keep up the appearance of Israel prowess for the home audience.
In the big picture, however, those acts of assertion of national power are just brief and spectacular interludes in a steady and quiet surrender of Israeli land and sovereignty.

Aside from media photo ops showing Israeli soldiers or police in full riot gear confronting Arab rioters, reality is quite different. Jewish Israelis are under siege by both Arabs and a hostile police force. Authorities fail to protect Jews out of a pro-Arab leftist ideology or out of fear of further enraging Arabs.
Arabs now are well aware of their power. All they have to do is threaten violence and Israeli authorities cower in fear and are ready to concede whatever it is Arabs are asking for. Except for land.
If the Israeli government were to surrender Judea, Samaria and Jerusalem, there would be a Jewish uprising. So they have opted for an insidious process of slow surrender of Jewish land, by allowing Arabs to create irreversible facts on the ground.

The slow boiling frog
“…if you place [a frog]… in a pot of tepid water…, it will float there quite placidly. As the water gradually heats up, the frog will sink into a tranquil stupor …and before long, with a smile on its face, it will unresistingly allow itself to be boiled to death.”
Israeli authorities have not 'officially' given away the Jewish heartland of Judea and Samaria and Biblical Jerusalem, but over the years they have been actively facilitating Arab takeover, while reducing Jewish rights to the same land.
It is quite an effective method of swindling Jews out of their land without appearing to do so.
Judea and Samaria - otherwise known as the west bank of the Jordan river. The Oslo Accord brought in PLO terrorists from exile in Tunis and into the Israeli heartland, with the government partitioning that land into three parts: Areas A, B, and C. Area C was reserved for Jews only. That's where the famous "settlements" are (which constitute less than 2% of all of Judea and Samaria or West Bank). But over the years Arabs have been taking over Area C as well.
All this, by the way, under pressure from Israel's much touted 'ally', the United States of America.

The Negev - which had been part of Israel from before the 67 war and whose legitimacy is not questioned, is gradually being taken over by Bedouin, polygamous Muslim nomads, now settling down in squatter villages built in addition to their own legal towns. These squatter villages are subsequently legalized by the government. Authorities make no attempt at enforcing the law.
The Sinai peninsula - In 1979 Israel surrendered the Sinai to Egypt in exchange for a worthless piece of paper called a Peace Treaty. During the brief Muslim Brotherhood rule after the Arab Spring, the Egyptian government made repeated demands for the "revision" of the treaty.
Today the Sinai is overrun with Jihadis operating sometimes in conjunction with Gaza terrorists, and threatening both Egyptian and Israeli security.
Although according to the peace treaty the Sinai was supposed to be kept as a demilitarized zone, Israel has now given the official go ahead to the Egyptian government to use weaponry there, with the excuse that it will be used against Jihadis. But in the larger picture, it is just one more chapter of the long saga of Israel's passive capitulation to the enemy.

Gaza - In 2005 the Israeli government handed Gaza over to the Arabs in exchange for absolutely nothing. It was called the "disengagement".
The Israeli government forcibly expelled 10,000 peaceful and productive Jews from Gaza, after which Arabs looted and destroyed the state-of-the-art greenhouses left behind by the Jews. Then they elected Hamas, which has held on to power since, continuously terrorizing Israelis along the border, and swearing not to stop until they completely destroy all Jewish presence in the Middle East.
The Golan Heights - Prior to the Arab Spring the Israeli government was quietly engaged in preparations for formal discussions for the surrender of Golan to Syria. Had it done so, ISIS would be much closer to Israeli communities, and without the buffer of the hilly Golan.
Jerusalem - Authorities allow Arabs to riot and kill - while doing little or next to nothing to protect the lives of Jewish Israeli citizens.
Citizens' protests demanding that police take action to protect them have been ignored.
The stoning and firebombing of pedestrians and motorists has been going on for years, with police and IDF doing nothing. The pace of terror has picked up now, with several fatal attacks in only a few days, one of which killed a baby girl.
Still, no police action strong enough to deter them. Arab terrorists own Jerusalem.

Israeli politicians and the left holding on to a Ghetto mindset
Breaking News:
1) Israel's PM tells the world that Jews will not be allowed to pray at Temple Mount.
2) Israel's tells the world that in spite of the Peace Treaty demilitarization of the Sinai, Israel will allow Egypt to bring in soldiers and tanks to the area.
Those are just the latest in a series of capitulations showing that authorities continue to behave as if they were still in a ghetto, accepting humiliation and the curtailment of their rights, and paying - or bribing - their enemies in order to delay confrontation.
Temple Mount (former site of King Solomon's Temple) - After voluntarily relinquishing control over Temple Mount to the Jordanians, the agreement clearly says that Jews will be allowed to pray there - but the Israeli PM has assured the Arabs, Europe, the United States and the whole world that he will NOT allow Jews to pray there because it upsets the Arabs.
As a matter of fact, there has been an informal understanding for years between Israel and Jordan for not allowing Jews to pray at Temple Mount. Jews who are seen moving their lips in prayer are arrested - contravening not only the agreement with Jordan, but Israel's Supreme Court's determination regarding freedom of worship in Israel.
When Jerusalem was liberated all of Temple Mount was in the hands of Israel. But the Israeli leadership handed over control of the most sacred place for Jews in the whole world to Jordan - a country invented by the British out of land that the League of Nations had recognized as Jewish.
Why? It was a first installment of more Jewish heritage to be offered to keep the Arabs and the genocidal world happy.
Renouncing to Temple Mount was also a fatal gesture that showed that if the Israeli government itself did not value it, then everything else could be negotiated as well.
Years later the leftist politician and much revered Shimon Peres - former PM and president of Israel - told a group of Israeli youth not to be so attached to their heartland of Judea and Samaria and to give it to the Arabs. He advised them to build artificial islands offshore instead. That's the kind of spirit that has governed Israel and driven it to the present crisis.

ARTICLE 9 PLACES OF HISTORICAL AND RELIGIOUS SIGNIFICANCEJust maybe Israel is the party that should be making announcements that it is Jordan that is violating the letter and surely the spirit of that treaty according to its text?
Each party will provide freedom of access to places of religious and historical significance. The Parties will act together to promote interfaith relations among the three monotheistic religions, with the aim of working towards religious understanding, moral commitment, freedom of religious worship, and tolerance and peace.

As the parable of the amphibian goes, will Israel reach the lethal boiling point where it has made one concession too many?
In recent years, Israel has back-pedaled repeatedly on positions it has taken, continuously “adapting” to situations that expose it to ever-greater security risks and consenting to circumstances that would have seemed inconceivable in the not-too-distant past.

2007 - Shimon Peres: Let's give up our heartland and build artificial islands instead
Shimon Peres told an Israeli youth gathering to stop investing in their ancient heartland of Judea and Samaria, and to build artificial islands instead. Peres has been an enthusiastic supporter of Israel's partition - for "peace".
In spite of a career filled with power, and having had much national and international honor bestowed on him, public opinion of this politician ranges from extreme criticism to bewilderment at his pro-Arab ideological and activist track record.
