NUCLEAR FLOATING POWER STATIONS TO BE BUILT BY RUSSIA

Now, what could go wrong, particularly when these floating nuclear power plants multiply?  And when other countries build their own ones?   Anywhere on the sea?

And if anything goes seriously wrong, no problem. Just sink it.
 
It will be the first of a fleet of floating power stations to provide power to inaccessible areas. is designed with a safety.  
 

It is designed to withstand collisions with other ships and land as well as survive a tsunami. The firm claims that it is safe for the environment as it does not release any hazardous substances while it is operating.

Russia's large towns and ports along its northern coastline and its far eastern regions are currently not experiencing much economic growth, partly because of a lack of energy, so it is hoped that these floating power stations will help the situation. 

Russia could also use them near areas of mineral deposits and military bases outside the country

 
The floating power plants will be able to be modified and used as desalination plants. 

The ship builder insists that the process of fuel enrichment on the floating power station complies with the International Atomic Energy Agency's regulations.
 
15 countries have expressed an interest in using floating power stations, including: China, Indonesia and Argentina.
