During the post war period Japan - which had suffered greatly from two nuclear bombs that demolished Hiroshima and Nagasaki - came up with horror movies featuring an enormous sea monster awakened by nuclear radioactivity: Godzilla.
Roll forward a few decades and Japan tamed that monster with the creation of a series of nuclear powered plants. They thought they had it fully under control. Until one day, a cataclysmic earthquake and tsunami let the monster loose. And Godzilla - AKA Fukushima nuclear power plant - is now ravaging the air, the ocean and the lives of Japanese people and animals all around its poison spewing mouth.

But true to human nature, we would much rather be thrilled by fictional Godzilla in its newest screen reincarnation, than deal with the real life-killing monsters in Fukushima and in so many other nuclear sites where humans have foolishly tried to tame the nuclear monster.
