Isn't this voluntary submission to torture by boredom the ultimate proof of their love? Or maybe it's a sign of resignation to their fate. Divorce could be awfully expensive and drive them to bankruptcy. Marriage is not a good deal for men. They generally go unappreciated by their wives and children, while they sacrifice and suffer the most, financially and emotionally. (BTW, your blogger is a woman.)
