Lara Jo Regan is a California-based photographer and filmmaker whose career took an unexpected detour after a photo series she created of her rescue pup Mr Winkle made internet history.
It became one of the first global viral sensations, and transformed her pet into a four-legged cyberspace celebrity.
Lara’s latest pet project, photographs of cruising canines, is now available as a book, Dogs in Cars, Lara’s fifth celebrating the beauty and wonder of dogs.
To get these shots, Lara built a special light, which jutted out over the roof of the car, a harness that allowed her to lean out of the window, and various other contraptions to make the images come to life.
