GRIZZLY BEARS ENJOY THE GOOD LIFE IN ALASKA - A LUNCH OF FRESH SALMON ALONG WITH A LOVELY HYDROTHERAPY SESSION FOR THEIR CRANKY MOOD

  • The bears seemed fairly relaxed tobegin with although some were later seen angrily baring their teeth at one another

    Mr Silverman spent four days at Alaska's Katmai National Park and managed to witness them enjoying what appeared to be a pamper day


    The serenity didn't last too long, however, with the grizzly bears soon beginning to become rather agitated with one another in the water


    Several bears were spotted with a freshly-caught fish in their mouths as they enjoyed a spot of lunch in the cool waters of Brooks Falls


    Mr Silverman's stunning images captures the bears in action as they caught flying fish from the waterfall at Katmai National Park, Alaska

    Brooks Falls is hugely popular with grizzly bears with more than 2,000 flocking to the river each year thanks to the large presence of fish

    Several dramatic photos show the grizzly bears grappling with each other and snarling while they come to blows in the middle of the river

    With blood etched around their mouths, the bears push and shove one another as they grapple for fish at Brooks Falls in southern Alaska

    Plucking fresh fish from the water and lazing around in the scenic landscape, the  bears seem rather relaxed as they indulge at Brooks Falls

    American photographer David Silverman captured the stunning images just 50 feet away from the dangerous animals at Brooks Falls.
