ISIS HAS INFILTRATED EGYPT'S SPECIAL FORCES - ISIS aims to control northern SINAI and to liquidate Egyptian president El Sisi - OBAMA has refused to help El Sisi in retaliation for his fight against the MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD, a White House ally - ISIS is said to be in alliance with GAZA rulers HAMAS - ISRAEL ceded Sinai and Gaza for "peace". Same fate awaits the State of Palestine.

Israel was made to surrender Sinai for "peace" - the first chapter of the Peace Hoax.  Now Sinai is a hotbed for jihadists of all persuasions, and ISIS is growing in power and influence in the area, slaughtering dozens of Egyptians soldiers in recurrent acts of terror.

The world's obsession with removing Israel's control over territories has been fatal.  It invariably leads to terror, bloodshed and political turmoil.  Gaza is another example.

Now the European Union is ratcheting up its boycott of Israel in order to force the country to cede ancient Jewish land to create a tinderbox terrorist entity named the State of Palestine.

It is quietly acknowledged that that the State of Palestine will eventually fall under the control of ISIS, or become a satellite of Iran.

Key points
  • There are reports of defections from Egypt's Special Forces to ISIS.
  • The White House is not helping Egypt in retaliation for president El Sisi toppling the Muslim Brotherhood regime of former president Morsi.
  • Obama Refused to Assist Jordan, Egypt With Information on ISIS Targets
  • Obama secretly backing Muslim Brotherhood.  Document outlining this policy is kept out of Freedom of Information access.
  • Ongoing collaboration between the White House and the Muslim Brotherhood, with some of its members holding top advisory positions in the US administration.  (Read list of names further down this page.)
  • Analyst says Egypt is losing its war against ISIS.
  • ISIS is said to have made a pact with Gaza rulers Hamas for the takeover of northern SINAI and the toppling of president El Sisi.
  • From time to time there are contradictory reports over whether Gaza rulers Hamas and ISIS are collaborating or not.
  • Allegiances are brittle in the Middle East, so anything and everything is possible.
  • There are already ISIS cells in Gaza.  ISIS may eventually take control of Gaza, and of the West Bank, were Israel to cede it "for peace".

ISIS infiltrates Egyptian special forces, joins with Hamas to occupy N. Sinai, liquidate Sisi

Islamic State affiliates in Sinai and Libya have banded together with the Palestinian Hamas rulers of the Gaza Strip for the shared goals of capturing northern Sinai from the Egyptian army and staging an assassination coup against President Abdel-Fatteh El-Sisi, debkafile’s exclusive military and intelligence sources report.

Egyptians gather around the crater following a bombing that struck a main police station in the capital of the northern Sinai province in el-Arish, Egypt, Sunday, April 11, 2015. The explosion comes hours after a roadside bomb killed six soldiers traveling south of el-Arish in an armored vehicle. The region has been hit by an Islamic insurgency by a group that recently pledged allegiance to the Islamic State. (AP Photo/Muhamed Sabry)

They are in the throes of four steps for promoting their objectives:

1.  Monday, June 29, a rogue group of Egyptian Special Forces accessed the heavily-guarded upscale Cairo district of Heliopolis to plant a bomb car, which they remotely detonated as the convoy of their target, Egypt’s general prosecutor Hisham Barakat, went by.

He was killed on the spot. The assassins were members of the Egyptian elite force which had defected to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant.

Three weeks later, on July 16, notwithstanding reinforced security in Heliopolis, ISIS killers reached inside the neighborhood once again and planted a roadside bomb. It was detonated as an Interior Ministry special forces security patrol moved past.

Because of the tight official blackout on the event, there are no reliable accounts on casualties. The authorities in Cairo reported that one Egyptian soldier was injured, but this is no doubt only part of the picture.

The following day, July 17, a violent clash erupted In the Talibiya neighborhood of Giza near the pyramids between Egyptian Special Forces and Muslim Brotherhood’s underground cells. Five MB adherents were reported killed, but again no word on military losses.

2. On July 1, ISIS forces launched their most ambitious offensive to date against Egyptian military and police facilities in northern Sinai.

Still ongoing three weeks later, the losses the Egyptian military have sustained to date are estimated at 120 dead and hundreds injured.

Though fighting fiercely, Egyptian troops have not been able to repel the continuous Islamist assault or contain its advance through the northeastern section of the peninsula.

Tuesday, July 21, Hamas terrorists arrived at ISIS positions in northern Sinai for a joint assault on the base of the Multinational Observer Force at El Gorah, not far from the embattled town of Sheik Zuwaid.

It was the first major attack on the US-led force that was installed in Sinai to monitor the 1979 Egyptian-Israeli peace accord – and is still going on.

Here, too, the MFO command and Cairo have combined to impose a blackout on the situation in the camp and the extent of casualties.

3. On July 17, the Islamic state of Sinai sank an Egyptian coast guard vessel with a sophisticated guided Kornet anti-tank missile.

The ship was patrolling the Mediterranean shore of Rafah to prevent the smuggling of arms and fighters from Egypt proper and Libya into northern Sinai. This was a landmark incident in that it was the first time ISIS is known to have sunk an adversary’s vessel at sea.

Cairo reported at first that a fire broke out on the ship and there were no casualties.

4.  On July 22, an audio message began making the rounds in Cairo and other Egyptian cities claiming to be the voice of Hisham al-Ashmawy, an Egyptian Special Forces officer who defected to ISIS.

He said the country had been “overpowered by the new pharaoh” and called on all Egyptians “to come together to confront the enemy.” The message concluded with the words: “Do not fear them, but fear Allah if you are true believers.”

Western and Middle East counter-terror experts have concluded that it was Hisham al-Ashmawy who orchestrated the assassination of the general prosecutor last month.

They tag him as the leader of the group of Egyptian officers and men who defected to ISIS. Egypt’s elite military units would appear therefore to be heavily penetrated by the Islamic State.

For Egyptian rulers this is a recurring menace. Thirty-years ago in October 1981, President Anwar Sadat was assassinated by a senior Egyptian intelligence officer who had secretly joined the radical Egyptian Islamic Jihad, one of Al Qaeda’s two parent groups, and went AWOL a short time earlier.

Obama secretly backing Muslim Brotherhood

July 2015 - President Obama and his administration continue to support the global Islamist militant group known the Muslim Brotherhood.

A White House strategy document regards the group as a moderate alternative to more violent Islamist groups like al Qaeda and the Islamic State.

The policy of backing the Muslim Brotherhood is outlined in a secret directive called Presidential Study Directive-11, or PSD-11. The directive was produced in 2011 and outlines administration support for political reform in the Middle East and North Africa, according to officials familiar with the classified study.

Efforts to force the administration to release the directive or portions of it under the Freedom of Information Act have been unsuccessful.

Counterterrorism analyst Patrick Poole said the Brotherhood in recent weeks has stepped up its use of violent attacks in Egypt.

“The failed Obama Doctrine that so-called ‘moderate Islamists’ were going to usher in a glorious era of peace and democracy in the Middle East was adopted by the administration because that’s what the foreign policy establishment going back to the George W. Bush administration proclaimed as gospel,” Mr. Poole said.

“And now we see as a result Egypt fighting a terror campaign by the ‘moderate’ Muslim Brotherhood; we have a failed state in Libya; and we see NATO ally Turkey turning from secular democracy to religious totalitarianism under Obama’s pal [Turkish President Recep Tayyip] Erdogan.

“This dangerous foreign policy was launched by PSD-11 and the administration’s open embrace of the Muslim Brotherhood, and now we can see its catastrophic effect,” Mr. Poole added.

Frank Gaffney, head of the Center for Security Policy, extensively documented Muslim Brotherhood subversion efforts, both in the United States and abroad.

Mr. Gaffney has said the Muslim Brotherhood is the most dangerous group promoting the totalitarian and Islamist supremacist doctrine of Shariah.

Several Muslim Brotherhood supporters have been identified as key advisers to Mr. Obama, according to Mr. Gaffney.

Egyptian press reports after the ouster of Mr Morsi have revealed extensive cooperation between the CIA and the Muslim Brotherhood during Mr Morsi's presidency.

REPORT: Obama Refused to Assist Jordan, Egypt With Information on ISIS Targets

February 16, 2015 - Oliver North told Greta Van Susteren that the Egyptian government asked the US for information on ISIS targets in Libya yesterday after ISIS beheaded 21 Christians. But, the Obama Administration refused the request.

The Obama administration also refused to give Jordan information on ISIS targets in Syria after their pilot was burned alive in a cage.

“President El Sisi asked for American intelligence targeting intelligence before today’s strikes and didn’t get it. King Abdullah of Jordan asked for Intelligence data on targets to respond to the murder of a Jordanian aircraft pilot.

The Kurds are begging for arms and ammo from the United States, not one bullet has been delivered by the United States.”

Muslim Brotherhood-Aligned Leaders
 Hosted at State Department
Brotherhood seeks to rally anti-Sisi support

January 2015 - The Free Beacon - Samuel Tadros, an Egypt expert and research fellow at the Hudson Institute who is familiar with the delegation, said that the visit is meant to rally support for the Muslim Brotherhood’s ongoing efforts against to oppose Sisi.

“I think the Muslim Brotherhood visit serves two goals,” Tadros said. “First, organizing the pro Muslim Brotherhood movement in the U.S. among the Egyptian and other Arab and Muslim communities.”

“Secondly, reaching out to administration and the policy community in D.C.,” Tadros said. “The delegation’s composition includes several non-official Muslim Brotherhood members to portray an image of a united Islamist and non-Islamist revolutionary camp against the regime.”
The delegation held several public events this week in Maryland and Virginia, according to invitations that were sent out.

Patrick Poole, a terrorism expert and national security reporter, said the powwow at the State Department could be a sign that the Obama administration still considers the Brotherhood politically viable, despite its ouster from power and a subsequent crackdown on its members by Egyptian authorities.

ANALYSIS:
Egypt is losing its war against ISIS

By Yossi Melman

Terror attack in Sinai
ISIS SINAI TERROR

July 2, 2015  -  The Jerusalem Post -
Wednesday's terror attack was the largest ever carried out by the Sinai Province, Islamic State's Egyptian affiliate, since it began its fight against the government in Cairo some four years ago.

It also marked the most painful blow suffered by the Egyptian military in its war on extremist Islamist terror, which it is bent on eradicating.

It was a well-planned attack, carried out by dozens of ISIS operatives in northern Sinai, and the explosions and weapons fire were heard loud and clear in Israel.

Amid concerns that ISIS may try to spread their attacks in the direction of Israel - and in the past there have been several instances that started with clashes with the Egyptian army in Sinai and ended in infiltrations into Israel - the IDF decided to raise its preparedness along the border and to close the Kerem Shalom and Nitsana border crossings. The crossings were reopened on Thursday.

Egypt has deployed fighter jets against the north Sinai terrorists as the country faces its toughest battle in the region since the 1973 Yom Kippur War with Israel.

Wednesday's events proved that, despite the regime of Egyptian President Abdul Fatteh al-Sisi's steadfastness in directing the Egyptian army and security forces to use unyielding power against the terror organization, the task has proven difficult and is exacting a heavy price.

The honest truth, as of now, is that Egypt is not succeeding in its war on terror. This raises difficult questions about the Egyptian army's operational capabilities, its lack of sufficient intel-gathering abilities, and perhaps even worse - its helplessness and negligence.

The ISIS-affiliated Sinai Province is an incarnation of a previous organization - Ansar Bayit al-Maqdes, which once identified itself as a local arm of al-Qaida, and from time to time carried out operations against Israel as a subcontractor of Hamas.

A few months ago the group abandoned al-Qaida and pledged allegiance to ISIS in exchange for a promise of financial aid.

It will be interesting to see how the situation in Sinai will influence Egypt's relations with Hamas.

After hatred and acrimony between Hamas and Cairo, the height of which was seen during last summer's Operation Protective Edge, and accusations that Hamas aided terrorists in Sinai, in recent weeks, there have been signs of better relations between Gaza and Egypt.

Israeli defense and intelligence sources estimate that the Sinai Province numbers several hundred trained and armed operatives, as well as a similar number of collaborators.

Most of them are local Beduin, some of them from the Tarabin tribe which resides in north Sinai and has dealt in drug and weapons smuggling as well as human trafficking in recent years. In the past two years they have clothed this profession in the ideology of ISIS.

The Egyptian army has had a number of achievements in recent months, since the bloody attack in January 2015 in which 30 soldiers were killed. It has achieved relative quiet in the rest of Sinai - in the center and in the south - after winning the loyalty of several tribal leaders in these areas through bribery, threats and punishment.

However, the problem has persisted in north Sinai. Despite Israel's agreeing to allow the Egyptian army to add more forces in Sinai than is allowed in accordance with the peace accord between the countries, and despite the security coordination with Israel (foreign reports have even suggested that Israel has helped Egypt in intel-gathering and with drone attacks), President Sisi has struggled in his battle against terror.

However, it can be assumed that, despite Wednesday's terror attacks, Sisi's resolve will not weaken, and his regime will continue in its all out war against terror in Sinai. As has been proven in Israel and many other countries throughout the world, the struggle against the monster that is terrorism has no lightning solution.

Author's main points, followed by his column
  • The glorification of terrorists and jihadists by the Palestinian Authority, and the ongoing anti-Israel incitement by both Hamas and the Palestinian Authority, is driving many Palestinians into the open arms of the Islamic State.
  • Hamas's biggest fear is that scenes of Islamic State supporters marching in the heart of Gaza City will scare international donors and dissuade them from providing badly needed funds for the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip.
  • Just last week, Israel announced arrests of members of an Islamic State terror cell in Hebron, near Jerusalem.
  • Until recently, Hamas was considered the number one threat to the Palestinian Authority in the West Bank. Now, however, it has become evident that Islamic State is also trying to set up bases of power in the West Bank.
  • Were it not for the IDF and various branches of the Israeli security establishment, Hamas, Islamic Jihad and Islamic State would have toppled the Palestinian Authority and beheaded Abbas and his officials a long time ago.
