THE YEARLY MUSLIM EID FESTIVAL COMMENCES IN GAZA AND OTHER PARTS OF THE MUSLIM WORLD - Extreme cruelty against millions of animals

Cow meant to be slaughtered for Eid tramples people in Rafah, Gaza.  There were several light to moderate injuries.

Video of incident in Gaza, with cow destined for slaughter trampling a crowd of people.

Here's a photo of some of the Gaza cows that are essentially being stabbed as a public religious ceremony:

Stabbing animals in the eye is a common practice to confuse them for easier handling.

Shocking footage of cattle exported from Australia being tortured and killed in the streets of Gaza is being described by an Australian animal rights group as the worst animal cruelty case it has ever seen in the live export industry.

Footage shows what has been identified as an Australian bull being “knee-capped” by a man armed with an assault rifle, another stabbed in the eye and others having their throats hacked open in the streets of the Palestinian territory of Gaza.

The footage, filmed by local civilians and uploaded to YouTube, shows cattle tied to poles, trees and vehicles before being stabbed in the neck and eyes. One animal was kneecapped by bullets fired from an assault rifle.

Filmed by civilians during the Festival of Sacrifice, the footage shows cattle being terrorised by crowds and tortured in streets and makeshift slaughterhouses – all in breach of Australia’s live export regulations.

Animals Australia packaged together more than seven minutes of harrowing footage from Gaza and sent it to all Federal MPs this week.

“So acceptable is this brutal treatment to locals that they are cheering and filming the spectacle on mobile phones,” Animals Australian campaign director Lyn White said.

That’s the genuinely disturbing part. This isn’t animal slaughter, which obviously gets bloody, it’s deliberate sadism, which is a whole other issue.

When people are laughing, filming and cheering, and taking part by just attacking animals, you’re dealing with serial killer type stuff.

Animals Australia isn’t shy about its agenda, which is a ban on live export of animals by Australia that would impact its economy quite badly. Its cases quite often involve animal abuse in Muslim countries. Labor, which was certainly not against live export when it was in power, has decided to jump on this in their scandal-a-minute assault on Tony Abbott, the country’s new conservative Prime Minister.

Animals Australia has lodged a significant legal complaint in relation to live export breaches in Gaza, the third such complaint in two months following breaches of regulations in Jordan and Mauritius.

The dozens of videos uploaded to YouTube show terrified cattle (in Gaza) tied to poles, trees and vehicles, being stabbed repeatedly in the neck, having their legs bound before being violently forced to the ground and 'strung out' for slaughter, being beaten and dragged off trucks - and in two particularly sadistic acts - one bound animal was stabbed in the eye, whilst another knee-capped with bullets from an assault rifle.

“There is now extensive evidence that Australian animals in three export markets were subjected to horrendous cruelty during the Festival of Sacrifice (Eid) in October - cruel treatment that live export regulations were put in place to prevent.

"The ineffectiveness of Australian regulations is obvious. This situation in Gaza would not even have been known had it not been for an Israeli media report. It is no wonder that at least some exporters are not taking their legal obligations seriously.

More recently other Muslim countries have come under scrutiny by the Australian government and animal rights organizations:

May 2, 2014 - Australia - Four Department of Agriculture investigation reports released yesterday backed complaints from Animals Australia and a member of the public about the handling and slaughter of sheep and cattle in Jordan, Kuwait, Mauritius and Vietnam.

We are still seeing cattle beaten with sledgehammers, stabbed in the eyes and sheep being stuffed into car boots," spokes- woman Lisa Chalk said. Gone astray 2718 The number of sheep exported by Livestock Shipping Services that went missing from the approved supply chain in Jordan.

Following their religious ritual, Muslims slaughter animals by slashing their throats and letting them bleed to death.  This is not just done by butchers, but by anyone who has animals for slaughter.  What is most shocking is how they torture the animals in the process.
