'Dog selfies' craze sees pet owners across country post pictures of themselves with their animals online to help raise £1million for kennels hit by arson attack.

  • A 15-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of deliberately starting the fire



  • Looking quizzically at the camera, these pets are one of thousands to feature in a ‘dog selfie’ – a craze which has so far helped raise £1million for the Manchester Dogs’ Home after it was devastated by fire.
     
    The hashtag #ManchesterDogsHome was the top trending topic on Twitter tonight, as dog owners across the UK donated after posting pictures of their pets online.
     
    A JustGiving page for the charity received more than £1million tonight, as celebrities encouraged their Twitter followers to donate.
