MORE THAN 60 ISRAELI SOLDIERS DIED FOR NOTHING BUT TO EMPOWER ABBAS - It seems as if the war on Gaza was an attempt to break Hamas-Fatah unity so as to facilitate an agreement with Abbas for the partition of Israel - The Peace Process Land Swindle

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu told Channel 10 on Friday that Operation Protective Edge “might have” presented an opportunity for a diplomatic breakthrough in the region, (meaning partition) although it was incumbent on the Palestinian Authority to "give Hamas a divorce."

Never mind ISIS looming over much of the region, recent Islamist attacks from Syria, Iran's promise to arm the Palestinian Authority (in the West Bank), and the daily threats of annihilation from 'moderate' Fatah in the PA.  The Israeli government says that this may be the right moment to engage with Abbas for the partition of Israel and the creation of a Palestinian state.

PM Netanyahu and Abbas
The prime minister just held a meeting with Palestinian Authority president Mahmoud Abbas in Jordan.

Apparently, nothing can make the Israeli prime minister give up his dream of partitioning Israel "for peace".

This fixation has absolutely no basis in reality.  The Palestinian Authority Fatah is just as determined to destroy Israel - in their own words - as Fatah and other Muslim groups are.  Their tactic has been to achieve this goal through "peace", meaning partitioning Israel one "piece" at the time.

And although the Israeli prime minister calls Fatah's Abbas "moderate" and a "peace partner", all you have to do is visit Fatah's own Facebook page, or read their charter, or better still, see what their media and leadership say about Israel and the Jews.

Now, let's imagine for a moment that the prime minister's dreams come true, and that Abbas signs an agreement with Israel, complete with security assurances for Israel.

What about the citizens of Palestine?  Will they accept the agreement?  Or, with sovereignty already in their hands,  will they demand its immediate abrogation?

Polls indicate that an almost full majority of Palestinians do NOT recognize Israel's right to exist, and they oppose the so-called Two States Solution.

a new poll of Palestinian public opinion shows that an overwhelming majority opposes any goal other than eliminating the State of Israel.

So what we have here is A SCHEME in which the White House, genocidal Europe, the Arabs, and Israeli politicians influenced by the Left are engaged in selling the citizens of Israel something they have falsely labeled PEACE - but which is actually a major LAND SWINDLE perpetrated on the Jews of Israel.

It's nothing but a choreography.  There is no partner for peace.  Arabs don't want a state, they want the destruction of Israel.  And Abbas represents nobody.

Elections in the Palestinian Authority are long overdue.  Although his Fatah faction supports terror and engages in it, it is still widely despised by the Palestinians and considered deeply corrupt.  Not that Hamas is any better, but it would be the only alternative if elections were held today.   And Hamas, as we have seen, fights to win, without compromise.

An independent Palestinian state would be the end of Israel.

Frequent assurances that "Israel has the right to defend itself" are hollow, and they mean nothing, since Israel is viciously scrutinized by the world, making certain that whatever Israel does to defend itself, it cannot result in injury to "civilians" - even when the same civilians are launching rockets, digging tunnels, killing Jewish civilians, or kidnapping soldiers.

And by the way, what did Israelis get for their 9 billion cost for the war, and the many casualties?

NOTHING.

Those living near the Gaza border will lose their homes and will have to be relocated because the government can't ensure their safety.

Families living near Gaza border leave the area.
Will eventually relocate elsewhere, leaving homes and farms.

Three more items to reflect upon:

1)  The hundreds of terror tunnels were built with cement exported by an Israeli company.
2)  The government was aware that Gazans were using cement to build tunnels.
3)  The government still lacks tunnel building detection technology, although widely available.

Gaza operation could present opening for diplomatic breakthrough, Netanyahu says

Jerusalem Post - Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu told Channel 10 on Friday that Operation Protective Edge “might have” presented an opportunity for a diplomatic breakthrough in the region, although it was incumbent on the Palestinian Authority to "give Hamas a divorce."

“Today there might be a new set of circumstances that enable us to act in a way that on the one hand we could advance our security interests and also launch a responsible diplomatic process on the basis of this new reality,” Netanyahu said.

The premier did caution that “it was premature to establish this with certainty, but it isn’t too early to investigate this, and I’m investigating it.”

Netanyahu told Channel 10 that Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas would “have to choose between peace with Israel and peace with Hamas,” meaning that he would need to dismantle the unity government in Ramallah that has Hamas’ official backing.

“If he chooses the path of peace, and I think he understands today that he needs to choose that over Hamas, which not only calls for our destruction but also wishes to topple him,” the premier said. “Hamas acted to remove him.”

When asked whether the Gaza operation persuaded Netanyahu that Abbas was the only possible partner for Israel in this region, Netanyahu replied that he hoped to cooperate with the Palestinian leader in the future.

“I very much hope that we can cooperate with Abu Mazen (Abbas’ nom de guerre) in the diplomatic process as well,” Netanyahu said.

“When I had to choose whether I wanted Hamas to enter Judea and Samaria or whether Abu Mazen and the PA enter Gaza, I chose the second option, not the first,” Netanyahu said.

“He needs to choose between peace with Israel, or Hamas,” the prime minister said. “It’s one of the two. “The PA chairman understands this. He understands that this gang (Hamas) was about to topple him, and we exposed this.”

“I can only hope” that Abbas “gives Hamas a divorce,” Netanyahu said.
