Ukraine on brink of civil war as thousands of anti-government protesters mass in central Kiev to confront police again after a night of violence that left 26 dead
  • 20,000 protesters on Kiev's Independence Square fought with police using petrol bombs, fireworks and stones
  • At least 150 demonstrators were injured and it was claimed that  13 police officers suffered gunshot wounds
  • Officers used tear gas and stun grenades during the confrontation with protesters, according to reports
