PICTURES OF BABY FISH SMILING

Baby rays appear to be smiling, but their 'eyes' are in fact gills for breathing on its underside. Their real eyes are in front of their bodies.

These ones are called Thornback Rays because their upper body is covered in tiny prickles.  They can grow as big as to 1.2 meters and once they each adulthood their graceful movements delight whoever has the privilege of seeing them.

The cute baby rays were born at Great Yarmouth's Sealife Centre in Norfolk, drawing visitors from far and wide.
