PHYSICS ISSUES -

AURORA BOREALIS AT CRATER LAKE, OREGON

The right time, the right place, a man and his camera

And what he captured was a breathtaking magnetic display of purple, pink and green across the  sky.

On May 31st there was a huge solar storm whose charged particles hit Earth's magnetic field causing a spectacular aurora borealis visible as far south as Oregon.

Astrophotographer Brad Goldpaint was shooting at Oregon's Crater Lake when the surprise aurora borealis ignited the sky.
